Hi Mari

oh no - hugs to you!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't say anything to make you feel better I'm sure except that it must get easier.tomorrow is going to be horrible but just take it a bit at a time. I'm sure no one will expect you to actually do any work!!! can you leave early or something? At least Alfie will be with his Nan. I'm going to be the same as you and can't help getting that sick feeling in my stomach when i think about it - and I still have 5 weeks left! I can't believe this year has gone so quickly.

Hope you are ok tomorrow. I'll be thinking about you!

Well today was absolutely awful. I have officially broken my heart FrownerFrownerFrownerFrowner

Cried for ages this morning before my mum came to pick Alfie upFrowner, cried for ages when she picked him up Frowner and cried again as i left him when she dropped me off at stationFrowner. Cried on bus at fifty million well wishers texts I gotFrowner

Gained composure to enter work and crumbled the minute I saw a good friend Frowner Composed myself again then crumbled again when I saw another friend Frowner Was just awful

However I did perk up by the afternoon and after calling my mum only three times.

Dreading tomorrow as that's first day at nursery. But it has to be done, nothing else for it.

Summer - I'm working 4 days a week. I get Fridays off which is great.

Sorry I can't pretend it's any easier for you Laura and Loocy, but I'll know exactly what you're going through when it's your turn. I don't know if forewarned is forearmed in this case. I'm so sorry if I'm depressing everyone, just can't help it. I've never been so low in all my life!

Promise I'll be more cheerful in my next post. Smiler

oh Mari - I hope today was better for you!!!! Smiler Smiler Smiler smiley faces for you. I'm sure in a few weeks it will hurt less. How was Alfie? I bet he had a whale of a time!!!!! Roll Eyes

K is going to my Mum's for half a day tomorrow to try and break her in gently (and so I can get some housework done!!). She has barely been apart from me really - or at least when not with me, she has been with DH. It's going to be such a culture shock for her when she goes to nursery!!!

I've already stopped BF her in the day and she now has a beaker of expressed milk. Sure she isn't getting enough but am just going with it!!! She has a good feed on a morning and night and has plenty of food and yoghurts and stuff in the day. oh god it's such a worry isn't it!!!

oh mari hun poor poor you. Frowner I hope it gets easier for you as the weeks go past. I met up with one of my local mums who's been back to work for a month and when I asked her how it was going all she said was "well, I don't cry all day any more". So I know what to expect... Frowner I'm currently trying to arrange another meeting with my boss to explain what the law says and talk to her about the fact that she has to discuss part-time working with me - will let you know how I get on but really I think getting another job is the only realistic option... although that will be hard enough as part-time jobs are so hard to come by.

oooo laura yes please to sending it if you still have it. Can't wait!!

As for everything else, just fine and dandy although DH and I are going through a real rough patch - anybody else constantly arguing or are you all over that now?? We just don't seem to be seeing eye to eye over anything at the minute but I'm hoping things will get better....

And this is my last week of afternoon breastfeeding, so after this it's just the morning feed and that's going next week and then she'll no longer be a booby baby!! But I've done 7 months which isn't bad and I really want her well and truly into a bottle routine when she starts nursery!!!

Vic sorry the lack of AF thing isn't better news - you'll just have to keep trying Wink

love to all
Loocy xxx

hello long time since iv been on
iv been in hospital again with stomach ulcer and ive also got a problem with my right ovarie so i think me an other half might try for 1 last little one
its been absolutely awful my youngest girl (louise 5 )had chicken pox the last week of term and while i was in hospital my eldest (riannon 7) got them so i havent been able to nurse her or see her but the boys havent even had the slightest bit of them so hopefully they wont get them

summer i was admitted to hospital and my other half came to visit me with loads of mags and i couldnt believe my eyes there on the front cover were these two little angels which i recognised and instantly told matt that he had to post on here for me he rekons he couldnt remember my password so iv been dying to get out of hospital since it was really good reading it and your little family picture was wonderfull it put a nice smile on my face and cheered me up

well botox on bum hasnt worked iv got a follow up with the doc on 14th and stomache ulser was making me puke up blood but nothing to really worry about im just petrified that my gynae consultant will tell me they need to remove my ovarie or something im waiting for followups so i will tell you all about it when i get them through
god alfie has grown so much iv been away from him for 2 weeks and hes already grown loads of hair (the boys stayed at nannies) and nannie said how much a good baby he was and that im lucky he sleeps through the night and feeds nicely hes still not weaned properly but he loves those little star yogurts

well must go i need to rest at the mo boys are both bathed and in bed so im off to bed too

hope everyone is ok and not poorly like me

take care
sam

Sam: Sorry to hear you've been hospital! You really are going through the mill and now chicken pox at home jeez! Hugs hun and hope things get better soon.
oh and oooer a ttc buddy? Hope the follow up on ovaries goes well xxx

Loocy: Thanx hun, still no af and still neg tests.
very odd. If not preg just wish it would come ffs so I know wth is going on. maybe ill be lucky and ovulate, get preg and no need af LOL.
Least the ttc has put the spark back into the sex life Big Grin , it dwindled there for a bit.
I have my moments with DP, nothing major though, I just get tired/no "me" time so I think I just get a bit b!tchy but as usual he just takes it in his stride until im over it lol

Laura: Hope the first day with K at mums went well? I do that often when house gets out of hand, either drop her off for a few hrs or mum comes here and sits with her. much easier to catch up on things uninterrupted. Plus its good for them to have that break also.

Mari: How you doing hun? Hope it went ok for you.
Am thinking of you xxx

Summer:bit quiet but imagine your busy as, hard enough with one here. They do need more attention now though, I find Katie needs me around more, even if its just in the room while she sits floor to play. Hope your all well

everything is just dandy here. Great day naps now and wonderful nights, 630pm-630am. Solids going well, she certainly takes after dad there and LOVES her food lol.

Better go, Off shopping once shes awake.
Hope everyone is well!! HUGS

Hey Mari, its the last day of the week today! I really hope you feel better about it soon. How does he seem to like nursery?
Sam... I can't believe what you've been through... its been non stop. And being away from Alfie for 2 weeks... must be so so hard Frowner
Big hugs and really hope that things start improving dramatically soon for you.
Loocy... good luck with the meeting with the boss. A new job does sound the way to go though. God, I feel so lucky that i'm not working (not in an we've-got-enough-money-for-me-not-to kind of way, because we definately haven't! We just wouldn't be able to afford child care for everyone on the sort of salary I'd prob bring home. We live month to month and regularly have to borrow from mum to tide us over).
You and dh are definately not the only ones with a rough patch. Not sure how dh puts up with me really. So need to spend a bit more quality time together but its impossible.
Laura, how did it go with K at your mum's? I worry about the amount of milk Jake is having at the mo as he barely feeds in the day now. He has a good feed or 2 in the evening and overnight but when I cut out his night feeds and just offer him water if he wakes (when we get a cot for him in the next few weeks), I'm sure he won't be having enough. Maybe he'll re-adjust and take more in the day again. He does love his petits filous though and has cows milk with his weetabix.
Vicki... don't want to hear about your sleeping patterns thank you!! Wink The boys are not too bad in the day and are usually both down by 8.30pm but still feeding every 3 & 4 hrs.

Other news.. ummm... Jake is now sitting really well... and crawling properly!!!! Hes still a bit wobbly at it but it'll be just days I think before hes zooming about. Hes pretty fast as it is if he spots something he desperately wants but its more of a sideways crab movement on his hands and knees. Tom is on his way to sitting at last, but really not bothered about rolling around.
Oh... and I woke up in the early hours of monday morning with raging mastitis. Never had it before but felt like death with a temp of 39 and my left boob was agony so wasn't hard to work out. Started antibiotics that morning and feeling ok now. Boob still a bit tender but fine.

Have put a few new pics on photobox. Oh and Peanut if you read this... looked at your pics and they're lovely Smiler
Lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks to everyone for the kind wishes. My first week is over and after the first couple of days it got a bit easier.

Alfie got on great so if he has a bad day now I think I might be able to cope with it a bit better and put it down to him being crotchety rather than me deserting him to go off to work. He's been finger painting and he's eaten homemade pancakes and banana loaf and toast!!!!!! Couldn't believe it... So I think in a way, nursery could be a good thing as I've maybe been a bit slow with moving him on with certain foods. He's had lentils and fish this week from me. I also just finished making a batch of 'popeye pasta'.

What's everyone else on now?

Anyway as if the emotional trauma of me going back to work wasn't enough we found out yesterday dh is going to lose his job!!!! His work is closing in January 2009, head count is unaffected at the moment but the cull begins in about 9 months. The timing is superb, just when I go down to 4 days. Christ!

Gotta run at mo. Busy weekend as my brother is visiting. I'll be more personal on next post.

Love to all
x

HI All

just a quickie before I "pump" and off to bed.

Loocy - will post mag article tomorrow for you. Assume your address still on MSN?? Will check in a mo. Hope your meeting goes ok with boss. have you contacted anyone like ACAS or anything?? Or has it not gone that far yet? Can't believe you are having this trouble!! we have stopped BF in the day too - I am managing to express about 4 oz for her to have but like Summer am worried it's not enough. BUT like Jake K has cows milk on her weetabix and a petite filous a day too.

Mari - I hope you are ok. Congrats on getting through your first week. it must get easier?? I now have only 4 weeks left and am dreading it like you wouldn't believe. However, K was fine with Mum and she seems fine too. (they are spending tomorrow together) I have every confidence in leaving them to it. She goes for her nursery visit in two weeks. Am dreading that. But like you, I think it wil bring them on in all sorts of ways. I think I have been cautious with food too - especially finger food and introducing lumps more. But K has had nearly everything in the way of food groups now including fish, lentils etc and I am trying just to keep back a bit of our dinner (when we don't have curries!!) to make it easier.

Summer - good to hear from you. new pics are lush!!! Gorgeous gorgeous boys. I still can't believe it when I see them together. Tom has really caught up! well done Jakey on crawling!!! Josie crawled for the first time yesterday believe it or not. Sis missed it but I got it on vid for her!!!!! We will have to train her to get things for K. he he he

Hi Vic - hope you get AF sorted out soon!! Glad you are enjoying the BD though!

Sam - hugs and hope things get better for you soon!

Well, better go as this was supposed to be quick!!! Got family over from Canada at mo. K's Christening on Sunday too so will be a busy week as I am catering myself at home!! eek. Hope it doesn;'t rain!!!

Love to all

Laura: Hope the christening goes well and the sun shines for the day!!!

Sam: Poor loves, Hope they all feel better soon.xxx

Mari: Glad the transition for Alfie went so well but am sorry to hear of dh's impending job loss. Is it definite?

Peanut; *waves* !!!

Summer: Hope the mastitis has cleared and your feeling way better. Clever Jake and his crawling. I think we are a bit way off yet for that..then again they can just up and go and her rolling everywhere around the room might encourage her. Least Katie doesnt hate tummy time now that she knows she can roll off it when want, she even seems to stay longer on it and more often on the tummy than back.

Nothing much here really
New things: Katie has found her tounge again and likes to hang it out the side lol
Rolling from one side of room to the other.
crys if Dad just walks in and walks to the other room first before coming to cuddle, very sweet and I think she has DP just where she wants him with it lol.
More teeth coming.
Day naps harder to get down again as she rolls all around the cot and crys out when stuck up the top end on the tummy lol.
