Hi girls

Just a quick message for Summer - read the mag article and thought it was fab (even though it was a bit sensationalised - but I guess that's what sells magazines). The boys are doing so well - can't believe they are seven months already. How is little Daisy - bet she is being a great big sister.

Hope you and dh are ok too. I have not been around for quite a while. Was diagnosed with PND last month and things leading up to that were a bit on the rough side, but I think things are looking a bit brighter now so I should be getting back to posting fairly soon.

Take care hun.

Lots of love
Ali

PS - xxx to all you other girls too.

Hi Summer Big Grin

I quite like the 'dramatisation' of the article.... like your story needs more drama hun! Other than that its very sweet, and I love the pic of you all Big Grin

hi y'all - summer can't believe I've missed the mag and I still don't even know which one it is!!!! Mind you, my brain is so scrambled these days I don't even think I'd find the newsagents let alone be able to buy a mag!!!

Life here is just so busy, like everyone else. Li'l Eilid is doing just fine - she tried to pull herself up to standing today which was just fab - her arms aren't quite strong enough but she knows what she has to do, just can't quite make it!! She's also gone a bit backwards, but not far, on the crawling front but spends most of her time tummy down on the floor both arms and legs in the air like a skydiver wondering why she's not getting anywhere! Tee hee. And she's ever so good at sitting up now too.

Other than that, back to work in 6 weeks and my boss is a complete and utter cow and has said I have to go full-time after christmas - no discussion, no flexibility no nothing so I'm job hunting and hoping to find something else that's part-time before christmas. I really hope I land them in the sh*t when I leave. It sounds awful but she wouldn't even discuss it with me or examine the options (which is against the law I know, but what can i do??? take her to a tribunal???!) It's just crap and I'm now totally dreading going back rather than just not looking forward to it. Grrr Mad Frowner
And, just so you know what a cow she really is, I'm taking annual leave at the end of my maternity leave in September and she's told me as it's annual and not maternity i need to be available to answer emails and pick up correspondence, etc. What an effing cheek eh??
Anyway enough moaning, hopefully something will come up otherwise life will just be unbearable. Sorry it's a bit me, me....

Hope everyone else is well - Anita, Laura and Vic you're all quiet? hope all well.

Mari have a fab holiday

love
Loocy xxxx

oh dear peanut I was so busy wallowing in depression about my job I forgot to tell you about camping!!!

It was fab although we are thinking about buying a bigger tent - one you can stand up in would help!!! Ha ha. Take everything you need for emily in one box or bag so that everything is together so you don't (like I did) get in a tizz that you can't bl**dy find anything!!!!! take stuff to keep her warm at night as the temperature does drop - we had Eilidh in a long sleeved vest, sleepsuit, 3-tog sleeping bag and then put a blanket over her and she was fine with that, although we did go in June - in August it will probably be warmer at night - well, not if this weather keeps up it won't be!!!! We have a tent travel cot (the lighterlife one - is that what they are called??) which was fine on our tent floor. And, take a camping chair so you can feed easily without sitting on the tent floor. What else??? Can't think of much else that was different really - I didn't worry too much about sterilising stuff and about the dirt - I figured there was little point when a few weeks ago I found her eating my flip flop!!!! And coz she's not crawling yet it wasn't too much of a hardship. We went with my pete's brother and sis in law and their 1 year old was crawling everywhere and spent most days totally filthy!!!!!! it did make us laugh!!! Anyway if there's anything else specific you want to know, then just ask

Hi all you lovely mummies and babies

This is just a quickie.

I may be offline for a while as we are having to move, due to threatening behaviour from our neighbours and having a cr*p landlord who will do absolutely nothing about it! although we have reported them to the police on a number of occasions Mad so I dont know when I will be reconnected!
We returned home from our holiday on friday, to find that the leak from our horrid neighbours upstairs, that I reported a month ago still hasnt been fixed and our bathroom floor was flooded, and the landlord still hasn't been round and its now wednesday! Eeker
At least we had a good time away! Smiler

Luca is now 7 months, at last weigh in was 19lb 7oz and he has learned to pull himself up to standing on the furniture, and boy do I now need eyes up me a**e to watch him as he is a little speedy gonzales moving about the floor, and he is into everything, he even pulled one of the packing boxes over (luckily it was empty and not full of breakables!) just so he could see what was inside! The health visitor seemed a bit shocked when she asked if he was sitting up yet for either a few secs or a few mins, and I told her Luca sits up most of the day, unless he decides he wants something across the room and then he goes and gets it! lol Maybe she thought he was too young to be sitting up by himself properly without any kind of support? Confused what do you girls think?
The poor little sausage is really teething atm, and has a very red little botty, but I am changing him prob every half hour, just to try to keep the soreness down Frowner

I got all my exam results and passed with flying colours by getting 3 distinctions! so that is at least one bit of good news Big Grin

Well I best go, as I've got a busy few days as I have got to be moved out of here by the 10th august!
Glad everyone is doing ok, and take care all, and I will catch up soon (hopefully)!!!

TTFN Tina xxxx

Hi everyone

Been a while - just don;t seem to find time to get on here really and it seems pointless when no one else is on much either. Wait til we go back to work - I for one will have more time!!! he he he.

Loocy - so sorry to hear you are having probs with work. It;s going to be haard enough without your boss being like that! You do right to look for something else. Could HR help in the meantime? Your camping trip sounded good - was laughing at the flip flop bit!

Tina - congrats on your exam results and hope your move goes well!

Summer - your story was lovely, you must be so proud when you read it. I was giggling at the phrasing though!!! Looce - I still have it if you want me to post it to you???

Where is everyone else??? Mari - enjoy your hols... Vicki - any news on the baby making front? Anita - have you been over to Norway yet?

As for us - its 6 weeks til I go back to work and like everyone else am dreading it. I'm going back Mon, Wed, Fri. Mum decided she wants to have K on a Wednesday. Going to do it on a trial basis - I don;t want her to feel she has to struggle on if it's hard work for her. She loves being with the girls and really wants to have K. That means she will only have to go to nursery on Mon and Fri's which is great.

Worried a bit cos K is still BF - during the day usually mid morning and mid afternoon, Think I;m going to ahve to start giving her her beaker for those feeds and use formula so there won't be any probs when I'm at work.

She is sitting up really well (Tina - I don;t think that is too young to sit up! K started at just over 6 months) but she won't bear any weight on her legs at all. at her hip appointment on Tuesday they were't worried about it but of course I am! She has only rolled over a couple of times too! I guess I just have to accept the harness has put her back a few months.

Its her christening in two weeks on Sunday - just having a small do at home ater the church. Then a couple of weeks later we are off to Skye with Sis, her bloke and Josie the first week in September for a week in a cottage. Can I ask - where has this year gone please??????

Well. better get on...washing up calls!!!
Lx

I have no idea where this year has gone Laura! Its almost a whole year since we found out there was a big prob with Tom's growth Eeker I find I'm sort of reliving the pregnancy at the mo. Really want to get down to Southampton with the boys to pop in and say hello to the Fetal Medicine team who saw us at each scan and were so lovely. Think it would give me some sense of closure.
Ha ha the story in the mag was mostly complete b*ll*cks though. Can't believe over 3 hrs of interview over the phone could be turned into such a load of cr*p! Most of the facts were wonky and the rest was made up. oh well Roll Eyes Oh and poor dh looked dreadful.
And Tom is actually now 11lbs 6oz and Jake 16lbs.

Anyway!

I wouldn't worry about K not rolling much or weightbearing. Daisy didn't roll about 'til after she was crawling, and was sitting without any cushioning behind her at about 7.5 months. She crawled at 10 months and walked properly at 13.5 months. Her speech was fab though and was saying mummm muumm and also mmo mmo (to our cat called Elmo) at 6 months. They all do things so differently. Jake is crawling backwards and gets up on his knees and rocks madly so looks like he'll be crawling properly in the next week or so... and hes only just over 6 months corrected. He can sit but not for long and tends to lean forward and roll sideways. And hes no where near saying muumm! Actually, Tom experiments more with sounds than Jake does and I can't imagine when he'll be crawling as he still likes to just roll from side to side on his back and thats about it.

Damn... going to have to hurry now.

Congrats Tina on your results!!! And hope the move goes well.

Mari, hope you're having a lovely hol in Kent.

Lots of love Anita, Vicki, Loocy (I think you're so brave camping!), Sam (Hope things are looking up for you), Jo (how did the move go??? Hope things are good with you), and KT. Also Peanut and Kelly Smiler I do think of you guys everyday but getting on the computer is a bit tricky these days.

Hey guys

Very quick post. I've caught up with you all, some of it makes me laugh.

I'll just depress the hell out of everyone. I've had that Sunday night feeling all week. Burst into tears every now and then thinking about it. I almost feel like I'm never going to see Alfie again! FrownerFrownerFrownerFrownerFrownerFrowner It's awful.

I'll post more when I get time and I'll try to be more upbeat and positive.

Sorry to be a moany faced cow.

Love to everyone and enjoy every second with your babies.

PS. Loocy your boss sounds a right cow. Mad

Hey there, it's the moany faced cow again. Just thought I'd sign on to cheer myself up as doomsday is tomorrow .... but you've all gone!!!! Frowner

Can't tell you how miserable I feel, totally and utterly desolate. Frowner Frowner Frowner Wee Alfie man is going to my mum's tomorrow so hopefully that'll make my first day back a bit easier. I can call her every two seconds to see how he is. Oh God, why can't I just win the lottery? Smiler

Hope everyone is well. Summer - I remembered to buy the mag when I was in Kent. Smiler Have read articles MUCH worse, you didn't sound like a numbnut so you should be pleased. Big Grin

Vicki - keeping my fingers crossed for you - mad woman!

Laura - Alfie can't stand up either, so don't worry about it. K sounds like she's doing great. Saw the wedding pic on msn, the three of you look fab!

Tina - well done on passing your exams - clever clogs! Hope your house move goes smoothly.

Loocy - I forget what you said you did for a living? I'm too lazy to look back on msn threads. What are the chances of you getting something new? Do you think it's likely before Christmas? Are you looking for three days? I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Sam - hope you're feeling better, yay to botox bum if you've had it! Smiler

KT - wish you'd log on and give me some words of wisdom. You've been back at work for months, does it get easier?

Oh ho, back in misery mode, better log off. Speak soon. x
