ok. tht biggest nappy ever we had was the only one ive seen so far ...maybe she was flushing it all out her system in one go usual tantrums at bedtime tonight so she must be on the mend? (fingers crossed), nice to have her dad there for a change though, one quick cuddle from Daddy Bear and Alicia was off to noddyland I didn't really mind tonight as I had an assignment to do. your right, people do need to stay in, i've kept my little one in why she has been ill, apart from the casualty trip, it's drove me and her nuts but it's the best place for them Anyway off to bed now before i've spoken too soon! lol Ems x

thanks for that tiamaria. im glad your little one is on the mend and your right it's not worth imagining if you didn't take her to the paeditrician. personal opinion i think out of hours docs aren't worth their weight in salt, every time i've been to NEMS they have told me one thing and I have always ended up at A n E with Alicia a short while later, where there HAD been something wrong. My fav one yet was when she 9 months old and had a temp of 39.2 (after calpol and nurofen) and they told me to go home as she was fine said her tonsils were fine her ears were clear, etc ....within the next few hours and various tests / x rays at A n E she had a severe chest infection plus tonsilitis sorry for the extra long post. hope everyone has a lovely day Ems x

Tiamaria- thanks for the info hun, god that must of been horrid for you! hope lil one is on the mend now. Well ethan still ok since 12:30 yesterday, drinking lots and even had a bit of toast this morning and is running around with his little sis! It's amazing how quick they bounce back. I'm still on mega watch out for the other end starting His older brother came home from school yesterday with the same cough and saying he had a headache. He didn't really eat dinner, but so far so good! I just hope if it's gonna go round us all, that it does it sooner rather then later! Ems- i've not 'officialy' signed up for race for life yet either, but am waiting for my friend to organise her work friends joining us. Ours is in July in Exeter. Can't wait!

Hi Girls. Sooo sorry to hear your babies are ill!!!!!! Meryn was the first to get it in our house and then we all followed week by week. Meryn was really ill, we took her to A&E THREE times because she was so bad. Doctors said that she was moderatly dehydrated, so not bad enough to keep her in - thank god!!!! She had all the signs and symptoms that all the others have had, plus when she woke up one morning she had fluid coming out of her ears!!!!! Back to A&E we went. I had Meryn weighed this week and she had lost 1lb in weight because of this bug - horrible!!!! I am soooo with you all about kids not going to school/nursery when they are ill, I work in a nursery school and that is were Meryn caught it from. They should stay away for up to 48 hours after the LAST lot of sickness and runny tummys!!!!!!! I really hope you all get better soon Take care Paula
