Hi all. Jenni - i'm truly shocked for you. Think i must echo the others and say look out for you and josh first above everything else. Does sound like you will be best off without him tho i know you might not want to hear that... Hope your mum is doing better, at least you are with her, and she is with you at this time. jane - oooh a possible sparkler bet you both can't wait to be back together and dp will prob see loads of differences with aisha. mojo - hope jemma is feeling better? best not to have the jabs if she is poorly i would think. The 12 hour window for cerazette is the only reason i am giving the minipill a go, my memory is rubbish and every morning is different with 2 young boys so i have v little routine. i even tried putting it with my knickers but managed to put on knickers and forget it last week will be weird tho as i won't know when my periods would have come back, they started again about 4 mo with tom. for nappy rash, there is timodium, i think it's a prescribed one. sudocream doesn't always help i find, as it's a barrier to stop it happening not to get rid of it, if i remember rightly. right, tom at nursery, henry asleep, raining so washing in the drier, need to think of some other activity than gardening....

Hi All, Very quick post so random replies to everyone so sorry for the need to pick what is aimed at you as a collective!! Was on my own at 2 points in my life as a single mum, one as a single mum of one and once with the 3 children, both times been very happy and the children settled, better be one happy parent than 2 miserable (sp?) ones. Nappy cream, i found sudocreme always made things worse too, sometimes much worse, raw. Anyway i have been given 'conotrane' by the hv and it is fab, as an everything cream, used it on bum to keep rash at bay, on head to keep cradle cap away, and on face and neck and chest which got rid of rash virtually overnight. It is a barrier antiseptic soothing cream, and not too thick so easier to use. Think it is simmilar to what jo says but this is the prescribed version! Must dash, Sophie having her screaming time!! Pinky xxx

hi everyone, Jenni- hope you are ok, can't believe what he did to you!! Can't call him your dp as there is nothing darling/dear about what he did to you, I really hope you press charges as he had no right to do that to you! Look after yourself and Josh x Jenny- I have used a nappy cream that came in a spray bottle (can't remember the name, maybe zinco??) which worked really well. Is good cos you don't need to touch it or rub it on. We needed to get Harriet Christened quickly because of the gown my mum made too. She had to adjust the armholes though cos Harriet's arms are really chubby!! Katy- wow only 2 feeds per night! How long is that over? Harriet feeds about 3-4 times a night but she does sleep from 7.30pm-8am. Janie- yay to DP coming back, bet you are happy Someone said that Harriet would get a rash under her chin when she was a couple of weeks old as she has a really chubby face/neck and lots of folds of skin. I've been really careful with washing and drying it twice a day and not had a problem yet What does Aisha weigh now? Not getting Harriet weighed for a while but she was 11lb 10oz 2 weeks ago Pinky- how are you wedding plans going? we're going to a wedding fayre on Saturday at the venue we are hoping to have our reception at. It's so exciting to start planning it! I've asked my bestfriend and 2 nieces to be bridesmaids and they're really excited too Frenchie- how are you and Reuben? Not heard from you in ages Missc- how are you and Grace getting on? Harriet's in her cot for the first time tonight So far so good, probably jinxed myself now! While I was in mothercare a member of staff was really off with me I asked if they had any nursing tops that weren't maternity (ie not baggy at the front!) and she said that nursing is classed as maternity and i won't find any nursing tops that aren't Surely women aren't nursing while they are pregnant unless they are tandem nursing?? I was made to feel really stupid, why on earth would i want a nursing top for when i'm not pregnant Ok, rant over Have seen some nice ones by jojomamanbebe that are definitely NOT maternity so might get them Rusty x

Pinky - hope sophie not screaming too much! Rusty - that's from 7-6, as T believes that morning starts anytime from 5.30! so we have to start the day then too, he inevitably wakes H who then wants feeding. Without T, think he would go long in the morning. Last night, i fed him until about 7.30/7.45, then again at 3.30, then at 6.15, so i count that as 1 night feed. that spray cream sounds good, will have to look out for it, zinco? Hope H ok in cot? have fun at the wedding fayre have you got your dress sorted? what are the bridesmaids going to wear? tell us all! And pinky too! Rusty - that mothercare woman was a bit weird, i mean very few people tandem feed. I had to send back a jojo feeding top cos it had a weird shape, looked great in the catalogue, was flowery with a pink sash? anyway i normally like their stuff but not that one. all ok here, v tired, nothing new there. feeling fat, frumpy & fed up, nothing new there either! hate my stretch marks, flabby tummy, spare tyres, etc.... need a good dose of positivity!

Hi all, Oh Kt, cheer up hun, know what you mean about feeling bit low, its being tired that does it! Have lost bit of weight so feeling better, but dread weighing in again as had bad few days! Sophie screams real loud, she has hurt df's ear as the pitch seems to do something! Never had a screaming baby like this one, bless her, it has calmed down a bit but i half expect teething to start it all off again! She is currently under my arm, head on my lap and fast asleep! She sleeps lovely in contact with someone but restless otherwise, she is lovely though! my night goes, (prop told you but stick with me, i'm tired!!) Sophie settles by 9, up between 12.30 and 1 most nights, then again at 4 and comes into bed by about 6 when i give up trying to settle her, she goes straight to sleep next to me, dp goes to work about half 3 so i consider i am up once then the other times i am disturbed anyway! Rusty, know what you mean about tops, not much that is not frumpy, i have a cris cross top i can feed over the top of, that is nice, you could try blooming marvelous but again i think they are mat ones, i wear all 'normal' ones its just a case of shopping around. Got to go, time for bed, Sophie will prob wake up now! Take care all, Catch up better soon, Pinky xx

Morning all, well i'll try again, sat last night and typed long post and then the bloody site went down, grrrrr it keeps happening, so annoying as I forget what i've said! Anyway, will try again while aisha is having her morning nap so nice and quiet for a few minutes. Also waiting for post to come before i go out,i ordered her a door bouncer which should come this morning. i'm sure she's going to love as she hates laying down when she's awake so i think she'll be happier with this. She's got great head control so should be fine. Got the little chubby chops weighed this week, she's now 11lb 1oz This is great news as i had a few days where i thought i was not producing enough milk. She would feed for about 10 mins then start pulling and messing about so i'd change to the other side and she'd feed for another 5 mins then that's it, she didn't want any more. Not so bad now but she wont feed for more than 15 mins max on each side but i know my milk comes quick so i'm guessing she's getting what she needs. Also i'm expressing after each feed what is left so by the end of the day i sometimes have between 6-8oz which she has from the bottle. She guzzles that down but its not making any difference to her sleep patterns. Normally she goes to bed at 7.30, wakes around 4am then about 7am but last few nights been waking at 2am then 5am and wanting a feed each time, i'm thinking maybe she's perhaps having another growth spurt but not sure why the sudden disruption. DP home in 3 days, hooray . Have to wait and see about sparkler as he rang me after and said he was worried he would be sold a fake as he doesn't trust his people so he wanted to see if he could find a genuine dealer before deciding. If not he said he would get one back here. Rusty - how did Harriet get on in the cot? Hope it goes well at the wedding fayre, i bet its so exciting now you are actually starting the planning. Stupid woman in Mothercare, sometimes i wonder why people are employed in certain shops if they dont have a clue. kayt - know what you mean about feeling frumpy and fat, i lost all my preggy weight really quickly but i seem to have put on a bit again, it'll be good when i can get out in the garden more and burn off a few calories. Jenny - can't believe you have to wait til 1st may for the right pieces for the cot, sounds great with yr dh working from home. Did Jemma have her jabs or not? Was she ok? Jenni - hope things have settled down and you are still at yr mum's away from him, look after yourself and Josh Oh, postie just arrived with her door bouncer, can't wait to get it set up and see if she likes. hi to everyone else, hope you have a good weekend and enjoy the sun if you have it today. bye for now Jane xx

Hi Again, Meant to say Jane, looked on msn and oh what a cutie Aisha is, what lovely pics! Sophie loves her door bouncer, but i dont put her in it for long, and its an art getting her in and out! Aisha's weight is great, and i know what you mean about the feeding, Sophie seems to feed really fast, there was a mum in morrisons the other day, in the cafe, she was feeding her baby for ages and theres Sophie only on for few mins at a time, but she seems to be doing ok, was 12lb 6oz on Thursday! She is not hungry at the moment and i am being lazy with the expressing as she seems to be happier taking me at night instead of the bottle i was expressing, she is going longer from me so i was freezing the expressed milk, although i have been lazy with it recently, i will start expressing again tomorrow as i feel if she does get a hungry phase it takes a few days for my milk to catch up. Have just got a bumbo, she likes being in the thick of things so i thought she would like it and again she does, although she is so strong, she does this rigid thing and i worry she may pop herself out of it! We got a nice ring when we got engaged, df said as it was forever better be something really special, i chose a carat of diamond trilogy set in 18 carat gold, we got one with a certificate to ensure the diamonds were genuine! We invested in a ring rather than an expencive wedding, we have booked the evening venue, and the registry office, my mum has said she will do the food (she did my sisters wedding so knows what she is taking on!) Flowers i am getting off ebay, not real ones but something i can keep! It will be November so i think fresh flowers wont be that important, also its a worry the more things that are booked for the day, i am getting a scottish widdows style cloak made, from crushed velvet to go over a fairly plain dress, the cloak has sleeves for me to hold flowers and so i dont need to take it off if i dont want to, un decided yet to colour, was thinking gold cloak over cream or gold dress however the deeper reds are really tempting me, over a gold dress, what does everyone think?? The colours for everything else is gold/cream theme, going to get baloon display for tables at reception which will just be evening do, cream table cloths, gold confetti type stars on tables, chocolate foil wrapped hearts for favors, and the cake i am getting a 3 tier stand, getting 3 cakes from tesco, where you can order in and collect on day if you want, and put flower display on done by flower person so it matches mine and dd's flowers. Its all on a shoe string really, but still nice i hope! The main expense now will be suits for groom, best man and our 3 boys, then i am looking out for dresses in both Sophie size (10 months on wedding) and dd who is 5, not had any luck yet, its either one or the other. Will ask photographer who is doing Sophies pic soon about pics, just want a few from registry office, so will ask him about cost for min photos! Invites am still looking at, thought i had them sorted but wondering about the wording on them, the wedding invites include the and after at.... which i am not sure about, can;t remember what it was about them i didnt like but there was a reason! Well someone did ask me about the wedding!! Thats me all chatted out for now, Sophie been really sleepy today, we fell asleep together earlier, i have since woken up and put her down expecting her to wake up but she hasn;t yet......ah the familiar cry there we go!! (ahh the dummy, how i love it, given me hours of peace!) Bye for now , Helo to all and waves!! Pinky xxx

Hi everyone, Wedding venue was brilliant so we are going to book it soon!! Seeing the vicar in 2 weeks to discuss it but both the church and the reception venue have no bookings for next october so we have chosen 3rd October 2009 as our wedding date We have a tight budget for our wedding too, parents are helping out a lot though. We are going to have a wedding breakfast for 40 guests then disco and buffet for 80. We should only be paying out about £2500, my Mum's making all the dresses which helps loads! Like you Pinky the main expense seems to be all the suits, we've got to get suits for the best man, my 2 brothers (ushers), my dad and step-dad (who'll both be giving me away) and 3 nephews They don't come cheap to hire either Getting really excited now!! Don't want to wait til next year but it'll take that long to save up. Will probably be sick of organising it by then! Janie- Harriet went through the same thing with feeding about a week ago but it has settled now. She was also sleeping through til 4/5am and suddenly started waking at 1am and 3am for no reason Think it was a growth spurt as she's sleeping better again now. My mum said she may be ready to start weaning but i really don't think she is and want to wait until she's at least 5 months. She's only just started putting toys into her mouth, she's definitely not ready for food!! Katy- i'm feeling fat and frumpy too. BF really hasn't helped me to lose any weight as i'm constantly hungry The pictures of me at Harriet's christening were shocking Crying baby so better go, DP can't cope! Rusty x

Afternoon, just a quick one, Pinky - she loves the door bouncer, only in for about 5 mins at a time but was spinning herself round, lovely to see. Re her feeding, i'm expressing most days more to ensure my milk is there (just get paranoid its going away) but now feel that she'll take what she wants and needs but saying that she woke last night at 12.30 then 4.30 both times wanting feeding, she wouldn't settle like i can normally do by tucking her in and replacing dummy, She's not done that since she was about 8 wks old so i hope its just a growth spurt. Think i will try the expressed milk tonight with a little top up from me and hope it settles her down for a bit longer, fingers crossed. Your engagement ring sounds lovely and yes i agree better to spend money on something to keep rather than 1 day. my sisters friend got married a couple of weeks ago and the wedding cost £25,000 !!!!!!! how the hell can anyone justify spending that amount of money i'll never know. when she got married 5 yrs ago it was done on a budget and was just great all the same. my auntie made her cake as present as she does all that fancy cake decorating thing. wow yr mum is brave doing the food but again at least you know its going to be food that everyone likes and great idea about the flowers. Again they are something you can keep. i like your outfit idea, personally i'd like the dark red over cream, think that would look lovely and yr evening do colours sound lovely, very classy. Not sure about mens clothes but at sisters wedding we got the little bridemaid dresses from Debenhams, they were gorgeous and not expensive. Also they used them as party dresses afterwards so got more than one use out of them. Rusty - sorry you couldn't get this year but at least you've got bit longer to save up and plan, bit less stress. I'm glad its not just my mum that is going on at me about weaning, i know she means well but she keeps saying when are you going to start on the baby rice, etc, etc, she looks hungry and if she's waking up that's a sign! Told her it will not be for several weeks yet until i feel she is ready or she is showing signs herself. Sometimes i just want to say "shut up and stop nagging" but i know she's not really getting on at me. I'm going to a thing in a couple of weeks called "sticky fingers" which is something held each month by our health visitors which gives you guidance on weaning and how and when best to start. Right, off now, aisha just waking up take care Jane

Pinky/Rusty - how exciting planning your weddings. Pinky I think the dark red and cream sounds lovely, you sound very organised! Jane - well done on Aisha's weight gain and her normal sleeping pattern sounds fantastic (apart from the growth spurt interruption). Yes Jemma had her jabs and screamed the place down - heartbreaking to see it but for her own good in the long run. She slept alot after prob due to Calpol and seemed fine. The good news is her poo results came back clear so they're now suspecting lactose intolerance. We're off the see the paediatrician tomorrow to hopefully get some answers - her poor tummy cramps and diarrhoea after every feed is a nightmare! She hasn't gained any weight this week either so I'm very concerned. Thanks to all your nappy rash cream suggestions, we're keeping it at bay for now and her daily naked kick on her playmat helps. Katy - you're not alone, I too feel flabby, nothing fits and want to get rid of my muffin-top. Using bio-oil for my stretch-marks but need to lose weight. Keep looking at all my lovely old clothes and can't wear any of them! Thinking of joining WW. We'll get there, chin up, Summer's nearly here so it lots of salads and water!! Sorry no more personals, got alot on my mind at the moment. Waves to everyone else. Jenny xx

Hi All, Just a very quick hello b4 i loose power on laptop, cant be arsed to plug it in, plug downstairs, me upstairs!! Jenny, chin up hun, those clothes you will get back into eventually, i waited with my first til 10 mmonths and not feeding to loose weight, i was a right porker, and when it came off i was smaller than i had ever been. And look at your lovely baby, she is worth every oz! Hope they get to the bottom of her probs, will be weight off your mind once it is diognosed as then help is available to hopefully stop it. When you said about nappy rash and the daily kick, it was like a doh moment, i give sophie her naked wriggle wach day and it seems to be great for her skin, it prob is why we have had no nappy rashes. Must dash computer started bleeping at me! Hello everyone else,

Ah Pinky, you put a smile on my face and cheered me up so thanks for that. Yes, my darling little Jemma is worth every ounce and one smile from her just makes my day! We think she may have a lactose intolerance so she's now on Neocate which is lactose and cow's milk free. Started last night and we've had our 1st poo-free feed in 11 days! The paediatrician was fantastic so we're going to see him again next week to review. Jemma does get her daily naked kickabout too which is a great help and at the moment has no nappy rash so her bum is smoothe as a peach! Hope Sophie's being a good girl and not screaming too much - Jemma is very vocal too, not so much screaming but always making little sounds and likes to be the centre of attention. Bless them! Jenny xx

Harriet looks like a really happy baby, got a cosy pillow with the cat!! Sophie had a happy day today, she let out her first laugh a few weeks ago, its really sweet like a giggle! She is getting happier as she gets a bit more understanding of things so bit less screamy and today hardly at all!! (remove the ear plugs but keep them just in case!!) Pinky xx
