It is scary! Stairgate went up today, just in case although like i say she follows me mainly. She was over at a de-clutter box i had filled previously, she picked up a dvd box and looked at me as if to say 'I'm being naughty now Mummy' so i say, 'No Sophie put it back' so she smiles all cute at me and i just have to cuddle her, i can see me being such a soft touch with her, she has this cute smile i just melt to! She is so little to be being naughty but i know she is being! Kitchen full of mess, I am feeling lazy today! Better look at it, between looking at wedding cakes and watching x-factor!! Take care all, Pinky xx Ps broke the zip on wedding dress today, it was a bit funny but i was messing with it and it got stuck so i had to cut it to get it off, aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I was going to get a dress maker to look at the fit anyway so she can put a new zip in and take it in at the same time, now i feel skinny now, but its a size 8 and is big....on the bust!! thats how flat i am, got chicken fillet boob bra inserts winging (excuse the pun) their way to me, going to shove them in strapless bra and try dress again hope it is better, just the zip to mend i think. 5 weeks today!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pinky- hope you managed to get your dress fixed! Lol chicken fillets winging there way to you I need to hand my notice in at work by tomorrow but I'm not sure I can cos we've not rented our house yet. Ahhhh!! I wish I just knew what to do! We definitely can't afford the mortgage if I'm not working as so far I have not had any money for working at the hotel and it doesn't look like there will be any I feel like I've just wasted my maternity leave when I should've been enjoying Harriet My sister's going to ring me tonight to discuss it.... hopefully a decision will be made then, I'm tempted just to go back home and leave her in the lurch. That sounds horrible but she is on her second week-long holiday in France in 2 months when I've not had any time off running HER hotel. Grrrr!!! Sorry for the rant just feeling used at the moment. She used to pay someone to clean the rooms for her but she doesn't want to do it anymore. So I've had to clean the rooms and am having to pay for Harriet to go to nursery so I can do it. It just seems a bit wrong that I am actually paying to do the work myself Hope everyone's well x Oh have you managed to sort your money yet Pinky? I hope so. Rusty x

Hi Rusty, We have sorted things a bit, give and take on a few things and lucky i have saved for xmas and paid for next years holiday so at the moment we are ok, in a few months the wedding will be paid off and not many people get married without being thousands in debt, so i feel i am doing ok! I think it sounds rotten what you have been doing with the hotel, sounds like my sister!!! Dont do it Rusty, you are right about missing out on Harriet. Looks like you will have to sort out what you can without the hotel if its unfair. It is a bad time to be selling houses but depends what mortgage you have on it, if things keep going as they are you may be better selling now and buying when the market hits the rock bottom predicted, although not many are buying as they are all thinking the same! Not that i am any money guru, just lucky usually! Perhaps a meeting with independant adviser may help? Dressmakers tomorrow, she didnt seem too worried about how little time we have! I found a bra but not one that includes the fillets, i need strapless and they kept pulling away and making a gap which if i leant over would not be good look! So went for one that fits me well, and will let dressmaker modify with the zip. Made me notice just how flat chested i am!! My poor boobs, i dont look at them unless i have to and they are like deflated baloons!! They do come back but they take a few years for the fat to deposit back to them, just as well df is a bum person not a boob one! Getting busy now, seeing vicar, getting things ready, booking for my nails done, having a treat and getting them done!! Must dash, Sophie needs her bath, dd needs to read her school book, ds needs a kiss goodnight and cup of tea, and i have a coffee getting cold!! Take care all, Good luck Rusty with what you decide for the hotel, sure you know deep down what you really want, just hope you manage to get it! Pinky xx

Forgot to say! Sophie has started pulling herself up on furniture, she wont crawl without going straight to somewhere to pull herself up, the sofa, washing bin, bath, her toys, inside her travel cot, you name it!! Pinky xx

Hey Pinky, I handed my notice in today Feel really sad but they did treat me appallingly when I was pregnant and I'm sure I'll get a much nicer job. Hopefully anyway! Will stay here for the time being only 4 weeks left of the season then I will get a part time job and my sister will have to work if there are any bookings. Wow to Sophie standing up, I still have a very static baby, starting to get worried now!! Oh well sure she will do it in her own time Hattie's 2nd morning in nursery today and she didn't even look at me when I went in to pick her up! Obviously didn't miss me at all Rusty x

Hi Rusty, I am sure you will get a nicer job too! As for Sophie moving, it is hard work, all babies develop at different rates and some things come faster than others. Sophie is a bit unusual that she seems to be doing it all quite fast, she has quite a few words for a baby, mama, dada, me, yes, ta, baba, wasat, (whats that) and a few more that are to gabbled to know but sound the same each time so must mean something! All my others have done one thing or the other but she does it all, except sleep!! 29 days to wedding, ahhhhhh, cant wait really, we are very happy and since Sophie was born we have just got closer and closer. Must go, need to start settling Sophie, she is all exited with her daddy who is making up with a cuddle after telling her 'no' to putting the keys in her mouth and making her cry! Big softie! Take care Pinky xx

Hi guys, where are you all??? I applied for a job in St Ives, Cornwall, last week and I'm going for an interview on the 22nd He seems really keen and has rung me lots of times as he's been chasing up my references. Only bummer is PDSA refused to give me a reference they would only confirm the dates I've worked for them, it's their policy apparently. It's very annoying though as the job is for a head nurse and I really need good references. DF just found out today there is a senior reporter job going at a cornish paper (he's a senior reporter at the blackpool paper) in Penzance which isn't far from St Ives I'm really trying not to get my hopes up (yeah right!!) but I sooooo want us to get the jobs! I have got another interview for a vet nurse job in Cornwall on the same day just to double my chances As you can probably tell I am very excited I'm just hoping so much that we can pull it off. I WANT OUT OF THIS HOTEL! Rusty x

HI Rusty, I am here, running round after a very mobile Sophie!! She has had a cold, again, so been up all nights, and df has caught it so trying to keep her quiet when she wakes, and now i have it so even worse, just want ONE night sleep!!!! Oh Rusty it all sounds perfect with the jobs and a nice chance that the two go hand in hand!! It was meant to be I expect that the place you need references for have had people from PDSA before seeing as they are in that line of work so know what its like, have you got a personal reference you could ask, friends that are teachers or 'respectful proffesions' (ha ha) That may be useful for them? Anyway i have to dash, Sophie not had a sleep all afternoon and i am trying to get her really tired, the plan is bath now then weetabix and by 8-8.30 milk and sleep then I am going to bed too so as not to disturb her and hope we can get til morning, 6 would be lovely, and a miracle!!! Bye for now, big waves everyone, Pinky xx

hi everyone, sorry i've been awol again, i've been having few problems with pc on and off, i can be using it and then all of a sudden it chucks me out and closes down. DP is going to completely format the whole thing next time he's here and hopefully that'll sort it so i'm hoping that i can get this post done without it crashing. Pinky - wow Sophie sounds like she is really coming along great. Wouldn't it be great if she could toddle at your wedding. You must be sooooo excited and I hope you've managed to get yr dress sorted out. Rusty - it sounds like yr sister has really taken advantage of yr good nature and i don't blame you for wanting to get out and you must be exhausted doing that all day and looking after Harriet. Good luck for the job interview, it sounds really promising if they are chasing you up. Can't believe the PDSA wont give you a reference, how stupid is that. Anyway it sounds like its very positive and also fingers crossed if for your DF. It would be wonderful living down in Cornwall, i spent many a summer holiday down there when i was a kid and until recently my uncle lived in Newquay. Not too much going on here, finally got builder to fix leaky roof and the decorators are starting tomorrow to decorate the hall, stairs and landing. The insurance company agreed to do all because its currently all the same paper and it would be too difficult to just do the landing without damaging the rest. That's great cos i've never been able to do this since i moved in 10 yrs ago and its really horrid old person wallpaper. They told me to go to any diy store and choose which paper i wanted for walls and ceilings and just send them the details. i had price limit but it will look lovely. Its just the upheaval of having workmen in my house all day, i do hope i'm going to be able to get out even just for a walk, Aisha will go nuts if she doesn't get out (and me!!). Still job hunting, as i've pretty much always done office work, except when i was a hairdresser for a few years, i'm looking at other options. A friend i saw yesterday works at one of the schools here in town and said she thought there was a teaching assistant type job going and if it is then i'm really tempted to apply. Never done anything like that before but thinking it would be a new challenge. I'll see what happens but still applying for other things too. Iwent to clinic today and got Aisha weighed (now 17lb 15oz). it's slowed down, only about 6 or 7 oz's in 4 weeks but HV is happy, now following 25th centile smoothly. She's almost crawling!!! At every opportunity now when she sits down she's over onto tummy and wriggles round the room, either backwards or rolling but tonight she was having her half hour without nappy and was throwing herself forward from her knees, she was getting so excited and did manage to move a bit. I don't think it'll be long Next purchase will be stair gates and fire guard to round the hearth. she's not pulling herself up as such but will grab onto my leg and go onto her knees but doesn't quite have strength to go any further. I can't believe all our babies are growing up so fast and seeing the small newborns at clinic this morning i was remembering how everyone used to comment how tiny Aisha was. Oh dear, seemed to have waffled as usual, hope yr not bored. waves to jenni, mojo, and katyt - hope babies are well. take care all Jane xxx

Hi all, Got stinking cold, Sophie has given it to us all, so poor love has been snotty and coldy and now we are too! Not much to say, tired, headache and this horrid cold! Df has done the school run a few days which is nice and been a help, its his stag night tomorrow night, which i am glad its so far b4 the wedding, my hen night is the week b4 the wedding! Its a quiet thing though a few friends going out for a meal, df has loads of mates meeting up and it will end up being a right blokes night out. I just hope he is not back sunday morning, i am not feeling very forgiving!! Sophie had her push along walker given to her today from her Granny, its an early christmas present as we all thought christmas will be too late as she is already trying to balance on her own by holding on with one hand then letting go, she seems to be practicing falling down!! She can push the walker along, and her toy box, and her baby piano and everything she can get behind and push! Have to go, Sophie on the move and my voice not holding out to call her back in! She knows no, but not come back!! Hope everyone ok, not up to catching up so will do it another time, Take care all, Pinky xx

Hello all, Sorry for my absence, been sorting out lots of house stuff and don't seem to get much 'me' time lately! Pinky, hope you're all on the mend soon. DH, Jemma & I have all had a horrid cold too and are just getting over the worst. Hope the stags have fun (but not too much ), your hen night sounds lovely too. You must be feeling so excited, hope everything's sorted for you big day and here's hoping you get glorious weather too! Sophie sounds as though she's into everything and very mobile which is great. Rusty, really hope the jobs come off for you and you get to live in beautiful Cornwall. We're hoping to spend a few days there in November.Re: the references, my place give the bare minimum too just in case anyone tries to sue them. Hope Harriet is fine Jane, sounds like Aisha's doing well too. LOL at old person wallpaper! We have old person doors and I cant's wait to change them all - very 70's and hideous! Good that your insurance are paying up, will be lovely when it's all done. DH is painting our spare room as I type - I'm supervising and chief tea-maker A teaching job would be fantastic, great for school hols when Aisha's older. Know what you mean about the newborns, I find myself staring at them thinking how tiny compared to Jemma. Time flies. Jemma swam underwater twice at swimming class this week, she loves it and has taken to it like a true water-baby. She hasn't crawled yet but is rolling around everywhere and in her walker more now - loves bashing all the toys and screams with delight so loudly it's piercing! Went to an open day at the school at the end of our road on Thurs and it was absolutely wonderful. She can go for a couple of mornings a week when she's 2 and it's such a happy environment with lots of things for little inquisitive minds, I'm sure she'll be happy there. Anyhow, better dash, waves to all, enjoy the lovely weather and rest of w/e Jenny xx

Hello All, Voice gone today, just whispering at everyone, luckily the children are behaving! Stag do went fine, he was a good boy and the best man i think felt they were a bit past all the silly stuff! Df took a drinking buddie who is used to the pint after pint drinking and when his mate had drunk 3/4 of a pint df swapped his new pint for it, the others couildnt understand how he was holding his drink so well, but they were all very drunk by the end of the night, except df of course! He got in about half 12, and they were about half an hour away taxi so pretty good for a stag night! My hen do is in a few weeks, but it is a meal out, few drinks and home, not up for much and i really dont want to leave Sophie, i know she has daddy but even so she is a bit of a pickle and would rather i was not gone too long for her. Releived for df its all over, he was worried as he has pulled some stag do things in his time, and there were 20+ blokes going! It was mentioned he had got of lightly by them though! Well going to put a film on now for the children, hope it keeps them quiet for a bit, at the moment my dd is watching all the ads saying 'i want that' its a parents nightmare, all the boys stuff the boys want all the pink and fluffy stuff my dd wants! Lucky Sophie cant ask, although we have noticed 'more' creeping into the things she says, usually with food but daddy was playing with her this morning and she said 'more' when he looked like he had finished playing! Rusty, we go to Cornwall every year on hols so will have to look you up if you move and come and have a coffee! Jane, I was hoping Sophie may take some steps b4 wedding, she is trying to balance on her own which is sweet but lots of falling over, walking is one thing but with bumps and grazes all over her is another, i think i prefer crawling and no bumps but she is determined and its not something you can contol when she has it in her head she should walk! Sounds like Aisha will be off soon too! We have stair gates but need the fire guard, although having said that she is very good with 'no' and i dont put the fire on its just her taking things off the fireplace! Jenny, 20 days to go b4 i am a Mrs, i am 35 and have 4 kids I think that Mrs is more apt than Miss, i feel a bit odd being a miss, especially having been a mrs b4! My friend takes her baby swimming, i have suggested it for df's back but he does not swim, but we could go for a float once a week! The school sounds lovely, very important to find somewhere you feel right with, I must admit I kept my dd with me when she should have been at nursery, but we did loads of fun stuff together and i thought she was my last baby so i held onto her! She settled into school fine, and could write her name, after a year at school she can read and write most things, I am proud of her but i do trust the school and am lucky to have that. Time to go, put this film on, Take care all, From a very croaky Pinky xx
