Hello,

Rusty, sorry to hear about your mishap, thank goodness Harriet's ok. So easy to do and no wonder you felt awful but hope you're feeling better now.

Jane, I'm with you on the weight loss - fed up that I look so round and dying to be slim again...chocolate is my weakness though and still a part of my daily intake. Willpower non-existent at the moment. How's Aisha doing? Jemma is also very rosy and dribbly and chewing on anything but no sign yet...seems a long drawn-out process and I didn't get mine til I was 9 months so a way to go yet I reckon.

Pinky, hope all your kids are fine and getting on well together. My sister and I used to fight like cat and dog when we were little...drove my mum mad!

Anyhow, Jemma's christening on Sunday was just beautiful. The sun shone, my christening gown fitted and she was such a good girly (especially with the water bit) no tears, just big cheesy smiles Big Grin. The service was lovely, very emotional and the hairs on the back of my neck stood up, but I didn't cry. Everyone came back to ours for food afterwards and we drank bubbly into the wee hours....a perfect day. Will post some photos soon.

Got some lovely presents too so now writing all our thank you cards.

Hope your'e all having fun, thunder and lightening here today, feels like Winter.

Jenny xx

Jenny,
Ahhh that sounds lovely, Cant wait to see pics! Smiler
We went to my friends baby's christening a few months ago and it was lovely, it was what made us look into having a church wedding. Smiler
Sounds like you all had a lovely day, and good girl Jemma for not screaming at the water! Big Grin
We are thinking to get Sophie christened when she is 1, the wedding will be over with then and i can think straight and cope with another do! We could incorporate a 1st birthday perhaps!
The kids are away this weekend so ita a quiet one, we are going to take Sophie to Cricket st Thomas, its a local animal park where all the animals roam about, bit nicer than a zoo! I brace myself for df doing monkey noises at Sophie, Roll Eyes he is a bit of a child and Sophie loves all the messing about!

Time to go,

Sophie fallen asleep in her walker!

Hi everyone,

Harriet's much better thanks everyone for asking after her. She has a swelling on her head which has just come up but her doctor thinks it's just bruising and will go down soon. I'm hoping so because it's worrying and she has a lumpy head!

Mojo- Jemma's Christening sounded lovely, I'm glad you had such a good time and that your Christening gown fitted! My mum had to alter Harriet's the day before her Christening cos it was too small Eeker

Janie- How's everything with you and Aisha? Sorry forgotten what was in your message as I can't see the previous page with these annoying reply boxes!!! I see on facebook you are looking for a job, any luck yet?

Waves to everyone else, sorry it's short lots to do.

Hello All,
Having a crappy day, not getting any money having taken forever with our claim, df not worked since May and its starting to bite now!

Sophie has broken the 'R' key on the computer, she flicked it off and i have tried to fix it but it wont go back on, it works if i dont put it on so i have a little rubber peg where my r should be and i keep looking for it!!

Sophie has started to crawl today, it is really cute, she can do it propperly but now she can get into everything, she picks little bits up of the floor and it goes straight in her mouth, its going to be watching her like a hawk now!

Well, just as well i have paid for the most of the wedding, must dash, my househusband not doing the clearing up thing, needs training i think,

Take care all,

A very broke, Pinky!! xx

Hi

Mojo - the christening sounds lovely, glad you had a good day and Jemma was a good girl.

Pinky - hope you had a good time at the animal park it sounds good. It sounds good that the animal have space to roam, i'm not a fan of zoos, i hate to see the big animals stuck in enclosures.
Well done Sophie for crawling, clever girl.
Sorry to hear about yr finances, is yr df really bad?

Rusty - glad to hear Harriet is on the mend. In answer to yr question on other post, no Aisha doesn't have the "tooth" she was born with. When we went to the dentist i got him to have a look and its just a bud, the tooth is under the surface but not actually through.
I still have a very gummy baby but it doesnt't stop her eating everything in sight Eeker

Yes, looking for a job, decided that altho i might just be able to manage with the money it means that i literally have nothing left and i can't live like that. I don't want much but it'd be nice to be able to buy some new clothes occasionally and things for aisha.
i'm gonna get a job around 20 hrs or so and mum said she will look after aisha for some time and then i'll put her in nursery. Apparently i will get help with costs so been researching local nurseries. There's one just up the road from me that looks really good so just waiting for a brochure then i'll go and visit. They give you 2 free sessions so you can decide after that which i think is good and you can stay with them if you want.
Also, whilst i love being at home with her i have never not worked and in a strange way do miss it a bit.
Hopefully i'll find something soon.

Katyt - hope you and yr family are ok
jenni - saw yr message and photos on msn, will reply there.

take care all, must go and get some food
bye for now
Jane

oh i forgot to mention that i got Aisha weighed last week,it'd been about a month so was curious.

The little chunky monkey weighed 17lb 6oz Roll Eyes

She'd put on just over a pound in 4 weeks so i checked with hv if she was putting too much on but apparently she's ok, she's following the 25th centile line so i guess its ok.

Think it will slow down a bit now she's sort of on the move, crawling backwards and rolling.

right, definitely off now
night all

Hi everyone,

Pinky- sounds like a very difficult time for you at the moment. Hope they sort your claim out soon and you get some money. It must be very difficult budgeting for everything, I think it's hard enough and I have DF's full wage coming in.

Ooh a crawling Sophie Smiler I'm dreading it!! Don't think it'll be for a while though as she seems to enjoy jumping on her bum too much Big Grin

Janie- OMG Aisha's weight!! Harriet was weighed today at her 8 month check and she's 15lb 11oz so Aisha has well and truly overtaken her! Harriet's on the 9th centile for weight and length and the 91st for head circumference Eeker My baby has a big head!!!

Been to a play date at the nursery today, only 11 more days til she starts. She was fine, playing away with the toys and did not even realise I was there. Will leave her for half an hour next week to see how she gets on. It'll be so weird when she starts I'll miss her so much Frowner

Pinky,

Must be hard for you, surely you are eligible to claim? Can you appeal against their decision? Good that your wedding is paid for at least and just think how lovely that will be. All your children will be so proud to see you and Daddy tie the knot Big Grin Chin up sweetie ((hugs)). And Sophie crawling too - what a clever girl. Jemma's still rolling over but no sign of even a bum-shuffle yet! I keep forgetting she's a bit younger Smiler Plenty of time.

Jane, wow, what a good weight for Aisha, that's fantastic! Must get Jemma weighed again soon.Know what you mean on the money front too -although I wouldn't go back to my old job for all the money in the world - I don't like having to watch every penny. Good that you can try out the nursery and your mum will help out. Good luck with the job search. Jemma is also very dribbly, rosy and sticking everything into her mouth, poor girly.

Rusty, so glad Harriet's on the mend Smiler and nursery went well. It's amazing isn't it how much we worry and think about them and they're as happy as ever meeting new playmates and having fun! I still can't bear the thought of leaving Jemma just yet though. We went to music class today and she loved it...met some nice local mummies too.

Better go now, my bed is calling, waves to Katy and Jenni.

Jenny xx

Hey all, as usual not been in here in ages, can't keep up with various sites i post on!

all is good here, Tom is growing up so fast, chatting away and learning ways to get what he wants!
Henry is growing up too, sitting up all the time, he won't roll though - looks like he's going to skip that stage! he sleeps pretty well, sometimes through the night, sometimes not, it's unpredictable...

going to start H at nursery one day a week from november when i'll go back to work, hope he enjoys it! not sure what we'll do about bf on that day but he'll just have to have water/juice and i'll feed him when he gets home.
still got a few weeks to go so maybe he'll have dropped one feed at least by then.

i am losing weight but it is sooooo slow! have lost a kilo in the last week which is bizarre but i think it's hormonal as i'm having my first af at last.

anyway, hello to you all, hope your LOs are coming along well and helping you to enjoy life!

Hello All,

Been hectic here, had good clear up of the longe with Sophie crawling, moved her travel cot as it was in the way. She is getting faster and faster, It is almost easier with her crawling, she still follows me about and its easier not to have her screaming because i have gone out the room she just follows!

It turned out we claimed for the wrong thing so are getting some other thing at the moment, but i am not sure what happens when sickpay runs out, no one helps or tells you what to do, its daft, and df is worried which cant help him.
For those who are recapping he injured his back in may, just stood up funny and it went, he has been bad since, physio is slow and painful and finally they have requested an x-ray so i hope we can get to the bottom of it, poor thing he is suffering, and we have a really strong relationship but it still puts the strain on things, as you could imagine the bedroom is challenged, and i had a bit of an issue about out differing sex drives before this happened!

My wedding dress is here, the second choice, its lovely but i need a bigger room to try it on! It is slightly big around the boob dep but i have ordered some chicken fillet bra inserts b4 i get it changed, i am a size 8 now so i got to my goal on time, i am still getting to my pre preg weight but i seem to be loosing more than i want from my boobs and not the hips! Poor boobs, they are no more, 4 babies have had the very last from them!! I am happy with them though, i have never been very big, and my df was horrified when my boobs were big!!

Must dash got to get dd to her first ballet lesson, she has nagged since she was 3 to do it so now 5 i thought i should let her do it, her dad has agreed to go halves on what she needs so that helps.

Hope everyone ok, will catch up soon, power cable was broken on laptop so been away for a bit!

Bye for now

Pinky xx

Hi everyone,
where does the time go, i think i post quite regular but then i look back and its been ages.
Aisha is nearly crawling, she goes onto her knees and rocks back and forth then goes onto hands and feet but doesn't actually goe anywhere, just backwards. I don't think it'll be long tho.Pinky - aww sweet that Sophie follows you everywhere, like you say she can always see you now.

Rusty - how r things at the hotel now, does it start to slow down yet? Am i correct in thinking you are in Blackpool, sorry if thats wrong but have that thought somewhere in the deep recess of brain. If so then i guess its time for illuminations soon? I've been a couple of times and they are really good.
Anyway, hope your not having to work too hard.
We've not had 8 month check yet, apparently they do it round here anytime between 8 & 10 months so just have to wait for HV to get in touch!!
Yes, i was a bit shocked with her weight but the strange thing is she doesn't look big, she's just solid, bit like me really Roll Eyes and she's only on the 25th centile.
Just out of interest i checked her length this week and she's about 64 cm and this is only on the 2nd centile on the chart so she's quite dinky, still mostly in 3-6 month clothes.

I went and had look round nursery this week, there are loads where i live but the one i want to put her in has a really good reputation and i have to say i was really impressed, so clean, organised and a good ratio of staff and everyone so friendly. Aisha was a bit bewildered at a room full of crawling babies and other kids but she seemed to like the toys.
I can pre-register her and just give them provisional days until i know what is happening with a job and then just confirm it nearer the time. Will be very strange leaving her with strangers and I hope she'll be ok, she'll only be there either morning or afternoon, depending on job hours and mum will have her for any extra hours.
Rusty - has Harriet settled into her nursery yet? How is she getting on?

Mojo - saw yr christening pics on MSN, Jemma looked gorgeous and you and your hubby looked so proud.
Bit sad that I can't get Aisha christened but being in mixed faith relationship its not an option.

katyt - good to hear from you and happy to hear both yr boys are doing well, both growing up fast.

Pinky - glad to hear you've goth something sorted regarding claim but i agree with you on the fact that the people who should be helping and advising just don't seem to care sometimes, I hope you can get it resolved quickly.
Lucky you being a size 8, i think i was that about 15 yrs ago !!!! Well done and you will look lovely on yr wedding day, not too long to go now, you must be so excited.
LOL at yr boobs, DP is glad that mine have stayed the same size but i guess that's cos i'm a few Eeker pounds overweight.

Right, this was only going to be a quick catch up but as usual turned into a complete ramble.

Night all, just watching motorway cops then bed

take care
Jane

Hi everyone,

Mojo- Jemma looks adorable in her Christening goown Smiler Looks like you all had a lovely day.

Pinky- wow a size 8!! You must have lots of will power, don't think I've ever been or will be that size! I'm hoping to get down to a size 10 for our wedding, I'm currently a 14 although I have been getting into some size 12 jeans recently, yay! Hopefully that's an achievable size for me to reach, I do have a year to lose it Roll Eyes

Jane- it sounds like Aisha is short like Harriet then! She starts nursery on Monday, ahhhhhh!!! I left her for an hour yesterday and she was fine so I'm feeling a bit better about it now Smiler

Yes the hotel is in Blackpool. The lights switched on end of August and are on now until the first week of November so this is the busiest time here. It has been a bit slower than normal though, think it's because of the credit crunch. We are coping ok, it will be better next week when Hattie's in nursery to give me some time to do stuff. We still haven't unpacked Eeker

Waves to everyone else, better go DF has taken Hattie for a walk and I should be catching up on jobs Roll Eyes

Just a quick one,
Sophie pulled herself up to a stand today from floor to standing against the sofa, she is strong on her feet, bit wobbly but strong! Eeker
My df's Mum told me he was walking at 9 months so perhaps Sophie is trying to follow in Daddys footsteps!!
Smiler
Must dash, will catch up soon!!

I'm with you Rusty - can't imagine Jemma getting about by herself and leaving behind a trail of destruction! Big Grin

Daddy is feeding her spaghetti bolognaise as I type - Jemma now has an orange face - very messy business!! Big Grin

Glorious day here, happy w/e all
