i'm just looking for some advice/reccomendations on breast pads..
i bf my first baby and at the times used tescos own or mothercare both of which i thought were pretty much on par.
i'm loooking forward to having a shot at BF again but dreading using breastpads they're so unsexy!
i've heard about these new lillypad things that actually stop you leaking at all has anyone used these or can anyone recommend any other disposable/reusable breastpads?
hey, well done on wanting to bf agin, i never got the chace to do it with bailey they advised against it but if we have another baby i wil deffo be doing it,
but before i had bailey and afterwards i used the chicco breastpads they were fab the stck to the inside of ur bra with a lil sticky thing and each pair came indavidually sealed so where very clean,
i got mine from boots they wernt dead cheap like th tesco ones but i loved them and u get quite a few pairs i gave what i had left to a friend of mine and she loves them too as they are all sealed seperatly was so much easier
hope this helps and good luck

I found the tommee tippee or boots ones were best, they were thin, larger and shaped so they stayed in place and because they were thin they were discreet and you couldn't see the outline of them through clothes. Don't know about the leaking though.

I tried the Lilypadz-they are a good idea for small leaks once BF is established but if your skin/nipples are at all sensitive they may not be comfy-I can only relate it to sticking sticky tape on your nipples and pulling it off! I used medela and lansinoh pads here in the US, both were thinner with the sticky pads and very soft-and individually sealed.

kia/kate thanks i'll have to pop down to boots and have a look see at theirs they sound good to me.
babyusa - sticky tape on your nips ouch! sounded too good to be true tbh completely stopping them leaking all together but was willing to give it a go if i got some good reccomendations.
what are those things that actually catch the milk from one side whilst you feed from the other? do you know what i'm talking about or am i making this up?
Personally, I would definitely recommend reusables rather than disposables - think I bought the Lanisol ones out of mothercare and they were great - really soft and absorbent and you just threw them in the washing machine along with baby's other clothes. I tried disposables - sticky tape and nips, definitely comes to mind!!!!!
I used tomee tippee ones I think...they were very soft and absorbant, but I found at the start (only breastfed for 10 days in the end - through no choice of my own)when my milk came in and I started to get the really cracked / sore nips - the milk basically stuck the pad to my nip, so when I tried to change them - OWWW!!!!!! just made it all worse, don't think I bothered in the end, just put some lanisoh stuff on the nips and let them air!
Am sure they are very handy once it is established and everything is less tender

Loocy... were you sticking the disposable ones to your breasts rather than your bra?
I think I used Avent disposables with Daisy and they were fine. Didn't use any with the boys. I don't think they had any time to leak as they were always in action!

Thanks again for your responses. tbh i never even concidered the disposables as i had images of them being like having a pillow in your bra lol but after your reccomendations i might have to give them a shot too.
