My 6 month old son has recently started waking up at 2.00 am and then wakes every hour until 6.00 am. He usually settles very quickly after he is given his dummy. He has 3 meals a day and 3 bottles. His bedtime routine is very good and will go to sleep very quickly. He does have 2 naps during the day which last no more than 3 hours in total. Does anyone have any advice for me as even my Health Visitor is at a loss.

I had the same problem with my son when he was a baby. Have you tried giving him a bottle just before bed, it might be just what he needs to see him through the night. Is he hungry when he wakes at all?

I give him a 7 oz bottle just before bed and he doesn't appear to be hungry in the night. The only thing he gets during the night is cooled boiled water. I don't interact with him when he wakes even when changing his nappy as I don't want him to think that it's play time.
