hi girls

now lucy has had her baby looks like we're all ready for the june mums board - how exciting!

as you know my little angel, oliver was born on the 21st june, and is now 10 days old - how time flies! mw is pleased with his progress an signed us off today. when he was weighed a few days ago whe'd put on 2oz and has also grown too..

am still breastfeeding even though it's trying at times we seem to be getting better at it every day, i've also started expressing milk in the morning so dh can give him his feed after his bath at night.

took him to get registered yesterday, so he's now offically legally REAL. We opened a bank account for him too.

anyways hope all mummies and babies are doing well..

love

Karly x x

Hi Girls and babe's

Lucas is now 2 weeks old. He is on just over 4oz every 4 hours. Lucas is a very good baby and has taken to the bottle realy well, I am sad I couldn't keep up with the breast feeding but I was in agony right across my stomach, worse than the scar itself.

Here is some pictures

Hi Girls

JayJay what a cutie Lucas is and a good baby too.

I can't believe that Jake will be 8 weeks old at the end of this week how time has flown. Well I changed his milk and he is like a different baby particularly at night which has gone from 2 hours to feed and get down to about 30 minutes. He's also going 6 hours from the 8pm feed and then 4/5 hrs from the 2am feed which is bliss.

I think we've had some smiles as well, although most of the time he looks very worried - perhaps that because of all the noise in the house. Will try and get a picture on but don't know if I'm that clever.

How are all your babies surviving in the heat - its so hot here that we've all been a bit grunpy at times - but DS2 & 3 have had great fun in the paddling pool this morning.

Slowly getting used to being a Mum of 4. Lucy my boys still want to hold and cuddle Jake so I don't think it will change with your girls for some time yet. My eldest even volunteered to change a nappy but Jake wee'd and poo'd on him so he hasnit offered again since!!

Anyway must go Jake has dropped of but the other 2 have decided to come in from the garden now.

Love to all you June Mums

Jack

Hi everyone

Jayjay, what a wee cutie Lucas is.

HV has just been, it's really good, she times her visit to fit in with the feeds so she can lend a hand. The twins are 5 weeks old today and Ross weighs 9lb 1.5oz and Ellie is 8lb 1oz. They are both taking 4-5 oz every 4hrs, or thereabouts. Although, left to her own devices, Ellie would sleep for more than 6hrs during the day, but that puts them out of sync for the night feeds.

Ross suffers from reflux, and is sick after almost every feed, the HV has recommended changing his milk to SMA Staydown or Cow and Gates Omneo Comfort. If that doesn't work, the Dr can give him baby Gaviscon. Hopefully he will go longer between feeds if he can start to keep it down.

Jack, what were your reasons for changing Jakes milk, and what did you change to?

Well, I better go and make another dozen bottles before the babes waken.

Hope all babies are thriving and mummies are not too tired.

Take care

Annie x

Annie I changed him to Cow and Gate Omneo comfort. Jake was very restless and took ages to settle after a feed despite being winded, he would also wake an hour before his next feed with tummy ache and bottom wind. His poos were watery and a friend of mine said that he was acting like her niece who is lactose intolerant. I didn't want to go onto soya milk and another friend had said that here dau8ghter was very settled on Omneo comfort.

When I changed the tummy ache went immediately - his poos were green for a couple of days but now they are fine again.

I was really worried about changing incase I made thing worse but am glad I did now.

Hope this helps - I always find that its so much trial and error with babies, whilst I always feel that I'm doing someting wrong.

Love Jack

Hi girls

Just sent this picture of Ruby to you hope it works but knowing me and computers is may not[Big Grin]

Ruby is doing really well. She has 3oz of cow and gate premium every four hours. She has mam bottles and has no wind at all from them and goes straight back down after a bum change.

Glad to hear you are all doing well still trying to catch up really.

Jayjay Lucas is a beautiful boy and it is lovely to see a picture of him.

Jack, that is reassuring to hear Jake settled well on the Omneo Comfort, that is the milk I went for, as Tesco didn't have the SMA Staydown, hope it has such a good effect on Ross, there is enough dirty washing in this house without Ross having 6 changes every day. I'm just waiting on him waking up for his first feed of it.

Lucy, Ruby is beautiful, her name really suits her. 3oz every 3hrs is fantastic. Did you mention what weight she was?

Today was the first day of our school summer holidays, it was quite relaxed as I didn't have to be up, or back home for a certain time, and things should be easier to get out and about after Friday, as we are trading my wee car in for a Chrysler Grand Voyager. It is very practical, and necessary, but so huge, I'll be scared to park it in the town.

Anyway, I'm off to prepare the bath for Ross and Ellie, should be fun, as DH has gone out for a meal with some guys from work.

Catch up with you all soon.

Love Annie

Hi Annie

Ruby was 6lb 9oz when she was born, she is now going just over 3oz every 4 hours which I'm really pleased with. She only cries at bath time and to have her nappy changed. Don't know what I did to have such a contented baby![Smiler]

I bet u can't wait to pick up ur new car and the boys too!! We have a m class mercedes and its really easy to park as you are sat high up so I bet ur car will be the same. If not parking sensors are great[Wink]

Anyway DH has taken all the girls to school and I am hear all alone with Ruby (peace!) Its a lovely day but am stuck in waiting for the midwife. DD2 has gone for her taster day in High school today I could have cried when she went with DD1 this morning she looked so grown up. I think my emotions are all over the place today.

Love to all the mums and babies

Hi Girls,

HV came for first visit today, Lucas now weighes 10lb2oz he has been having some problems feeding for the last few days, he takes 1 1/2 hours to take 3-4 oz, gets realy upset and nigly after 2oz and is suffering terribly from wind, she sugested the Omnio comfort and after reading about Jake (Jack) I am going to get some today. Fingers crossed it works. HV said it may be to do with him being a bit early.

How are you all managing with the heat? Havent been eating as many lollys but am eating a few, also am giving Lucas a luke walm bath every evening.

Hi Jayjay

I started Ross on the Omneo Comfort on Monday after my HV suggested it for his reflux. He was being sick after every feed, and since starting the new milk he hasn't been sick once, it's great. She told me not to change Ellie, but she started being sick after feeds from Monday night, so needless to say she is on it too.

If you find a bottle and teat that work well with it, I'd be glad to hear it, it's so much thicker than other milks, and all my teats are "too slow", even the vari-flow ones, resulting in feeds taking longer, and babies taking less, because they get too tired sucking for so long.

Jack, what bottles/teats do you use with the Omneo Comfort.

Hi to all other mummies and babies, hope you are all well. This heat is fine for me, but nightmare for the babies, they find it so hard to settle, poor wee loves. Never thought I'd say this, but roll on autumn.

Love Annie
