Vicky - having done it myself hun and also have lots of teacher friends who have done it - I really wouldn't recommend getting an eve job or a part time job doing anything but what you are qualified to do - you'll be frustrated and fed up with being told what to do by some little jump start with less qulifications than you - and the money in teaching is so much better! If I had supportive mum and MIL who didn't have to work I would gladly do a part time teaching post as i miss school heaps - BUT its just a nightmare getting a nursery or childminder who is prepared to start vbefore 8am and what happens on parents evening?! I taught til DS was 2 and it was very hard juggling the childcare - so make the most of your 2 families being there for your children - you're very fortunate and it'll be great for the kids too as they'll have a great relationship with their grandparents!
