Hi,

My son was about 2 when he went in to hospital for an op, (foreskin removed due to medical reasons)
It was a while ago and happily my son has never remembered anything about it, it was more an ordeal for me than him!
He remembers the 'nice nurses fixed him' and thats all!
From a personal point of view ask as much as you can b4 you go in so nothing surprises you, ask about the anethetic and what to expect and things like that so you dont worry at something totally normal!
I would advise you take someone as support if you can as its hard to see your baby in a hospital so you need support. (especially if he has to have something he does not like such as a needle or something)
The nurses are all fab usually, as i say ask.

Hope it al goes well, i am sure it will be fine, like i say he will forget really fast!!

Take care

Pinky xx

I definately agree with taking someone with you for support. My son had an op at 29 days old and its very emotional for you as their mummy, obviously mine doesnt remember anything, but does know where the scar on his tummy came from. Definately ask any question, it doesnt matter how silly you think it may be, the staff are there to support you too. Good luck, i am sure things will be just fine.
