My son is favouring one breast and I don't know how to solve this problem. He feeds for about 10-15 mins on the left breast before crying like he has wind. No matter how much I offer or wind him, after that point he won't take it. I then put him on the right and he's fine. This never happens with the right breast.

The only time he is fine with the left breast, is in the morning when it's engourged with milk because he sleeps through most of the night.

He's on a routine and so feeds whenever he wakes from a nap. I demand feed whenever he goes through a growth spurt.

Any advice?

Most babys seem to favour a breast, I know all four of mine did, just persevere and you will gradually notice that he is taking happily from both. I am still breastfeeding now and she doesn't have a favourite anymore.

hi autumn-try feding Kai football hold with lots of cushions on the left-that way he might settle as his favorite cheek will be down-obviously this is best done at home-if you do it once a day it will ensure that that breast gets emptied-also try swaddling to make this position easier to handle. 15-20mins isn't too short for a feed so it may just be that he gets a faster flow on that side and is taking in more air making him uncomfortable.
hope this helps x
