hi maijay

sorry to hear about the m/c. hope you recoverd well from it.

what symptoms are you having?

i got my merina removed on the 20th jan and we have been BDing quite a bit since then.[Wink]

i have tender boobs and my temp has been high for the past 4-5 days, i dont know if this a good sign or wether its a sign that AF is on the way, although i dont normally suffer from much pain or whatnot before she comes.

maybe it just wishful thinking!![Smiler]

Hi Claire, I had mirena removed 8/4/05 and had AF on the 22/4/05 and ovulated exactly as normal thereafter. As for symptoms, my temp is the highest its ever been, very sore b**bs, very tired, constant nausea. I was going to test this am but the postman didn't come today with the tests I ordered on Monday[Frowner]. So fingers crossed he will be here tomorrow and I can the test.

hi jo

postmen are all the same, always bring the bills when you dont want them but, once your waiting on something it seems they never deliver it!!![Wink]

my symptoms are similar to yours, its all very exciting![Big Grin]

im not sure when i was ovaulating, its kinda all guess work at the mo, i think ive worked it out that AF is meant to be coming at the start of next week.

but with my temp being up, i was wondering if that was a sign. ive not had time to start monitoring my temps as yet, usually before AF arrives my temp goes up but it doesnt stay up like this, (well not that im aware of!!) and with my b**bs being sore aswell, i dont tend to get that before AF.

it would be nice if i was pg, although there would be lots of hard work involved as my youngset is only 13 mths!!!

but hey, i enjoy a challenge.

well good luck for tomorrow, let me know how it goes.

hi girls

Jo - if you don't mind me asking how long did you have your coil in for? Also, did your periods stop completely while you had it in? I've not had mine for 7 years (as stopped as soon as coil was fitted) and I'm a bit worried my body has forgotten how to have one Smiler[ I was one of what seems like a small minority who've never had any probs with my m.c]

I did have some tummy cramps about four weeks ago so maybe I might be due around the same time as you Claire - if so, we can be 2ww buddies! - but to be honest have absolutely no idea really.

You guys were talking about temps - but what about CM?? I read somewhere perfect consistency is "egg white" and that after that it is likely to go creamy just before AF? (I sound like Delia!) Is that right? Mine seems to be much creamier than it has been for a long time - not that I paid much attention previously - do you think that's the after effects of the coil removal?

Sorry for all the inane questions but I new to this lark and as DH & I don't want to tell anyone we know that we are ttc I not sure who to ask!

Thanks in advance!

Tamarisk

hi tamarisk

that would be nice if we were 2ww buddies.

so the CM thing, i read that the best time is when the CM is resembling 'egg white' because it helps the 'swimmers' to get there quicker or easier! (well so i read anyway)

to be honset, when my DH & i were ttc the last time we had been trying for about 2 months before we found out about the CM thing, so once we knew of it we waited for it and then a few weeks later we were pregnant, it may have been pot luck or maybe we had done it right!!

i suppose when you first start to ttc it is so much information to take, once you look in to it all, its a miracle that any of us get pregnant!![Big Grin]

well i hope that helped,

take care & let us know how all goes.

Hi Claire, yes he brought them but alas it was a BFN[Frowner]. Started cramping last night and having more today so I think AF is on her way. Thanks for asking.

Hi there ladies,

I had my merina coil removed on 14/06/04 and my first af came on 18/07/05 so it was nearly five weeks. I did not have any af's from the moment I had either of my coils fitted ( I had had another one fitted before my last mc).

EWCM is when you are most fertile. I always call it stretchy cm. This is Too much info coming up, but hey how can you hold back when you are talking about cervical mucus!!!! When you wipe check the toilet paper you will usually get more cm after you have been for a number two [:0] The fertile cm will have a stretchy consistancy that you will be able to pull off the paper and literally be able to stretch it between your fingers. Once you start to montior your cm you will know from your wipe that it is there because it is kind of a slippy wipe. Do you catch my drift????

Tamarisk - Temping will let you know when you have ov'd but only after the event so really you need to monitor all of your fertility signs. I hope you don't mind me passing this info on you did say that you were new to ttc unfotunately I am not[Frowner]. 1) monitor your temp fertility friend is a good way to do this if you are unable to find it I will do you a link. Temping will tell you when you have ov'd. You need to start to temp on the first day of your af (not spotting but real af). YOur temp will rise after ov and stay there until you have your af when it will drop again (if you are pregnant it will stay elivated.) You must use a bbt (basal body thermometer) available from internet or boots 2) Use ovulation prediction kits - available from boots or internet - this POAS (p*ss on a stick) picks up the lutenising hormone just prior to ov - instructions come with the pack. 3) monitor your cm as above 4) do you have ov pain? 5)Monitoting cervical position (not for the faint hearted) don't know much about this one as had one furtle and it wasn't for me!!![:0] 6) There are a couple of good books I think the one is Gaining control of your fertility (or something like that) and the one that I got when I was ttc right at the beginning was Mirriam Stoppards guide to conception and birth when I found very helpful.

Hope this all helps - Don't hesitate to ask any questions. The 2ww (two week wait) string is very informative with loads of us all in the same boat.

Must go now as I can smell my tea wafting up the stairs.

Miajay - Sorry about the BFN - what CD are you on, have you tested too early? I am on CD24 (cycle is usually 25-27 days).

Babydust to all

cbott - I am so sorry that you have had to join this thread in this manner I have just read your post on advice. I trust that the "professionals" have given you a full check up. If you are not entirely happy then camp out in their offices until they do. I do not wish to scare you but a good friend of mine had a mc a couple of years ago, she was not fully checked and she had been carrying twins, the second twin was an ectopic and this made her very poorly -like I say if you are not entirely happy kick up a massive fuss.

I have had two mc's one before the merina and one after so I can understand how you are feeling. Unfortunately you will get no help from the medical profession until you have had three mc's. You and your DH/DB will have very mixed emotions for quite a while. The only advice I can give to you is for you both to grieve for the baby that you lost, be nice to your DH as alot of people forget that he is going through it too. When you are ready try again. Not that I encourage violence of course but you could always smack anyone who has never suffered a mc and who with great concern says "oh well it obviously wasn't meant to be"[B)] or it's gods way of telling you something was wrong[Frowner!]" - oh really well thanks for your help and support I can pick my entire life up and start again knowing that. Oh yes one more piece of advice you and dh/db go and get P*ssed and then have wild, passionate, non babymaking, raunchy, unbridled, sex - just for the hell of it and not because your trying to make a baby. You forget what good old fashioned sex is after a while ttc[Razzer] Good luck and good health to you. One more thing unless you are a raging smack head/alcoholic etc it is highly unlikely that anything that you have done in the last seven weeks has attributed to you loosing baby don't do the guilt trip on yourself.

(((hugs)))

Babydust to all xx

Hi
I am newbee, hope you dont mind me jumping in on your post. I have just had my Mirena removed yesterday Feb 14, we are ttc for #2. I was lucky enough to not have any problems with the Mirena, only had it in for 6 months so hopefully we will have no problems ttc.
Will keep watching to see how everyone is doing.

Hi everyone

Touchwood - thx for all the info, just the thing a girl like me needs to know! I've been on to fertility friend and set myself up -the only problem is it won't let me do a proper chart until I've had my first AF which is v.v.v.v.v.v.frustrating!

I'm all a bit confused now though because since having the coil out nothing has really happened as I expected!

In your infinite wisdom can you tell me what you think about this......

About 4 months before coil came out I started having tummy cramps (just like period pains). They disappeared after a few days but no spotting or AF. Then every 4 to 4.5 weeks after that I would get the cramps again for a few days. As coil had been in for so long just thought the effect of the hormones were wearing out and it was my cycle beginning to show through.

Had my coil out on the 3rd Feb but night before DH and I got jiggy! Having looked at calendar based on the regularity of previous months cramps I think I would probably have been o'ving about that time.

Once coil was out had no bleeding/pain. Towards end of last week had lots of creamy CM, felt nausues every morning when I woke up and had pinching like pains in tummy (not like previous months cramps). Based on my crude calcs I expected to come on at the weekend - but nothing!!!

Since then I've had the odd occasional twinge but thats it - don't feel like AF is on her way anytime soon

Am baffled - do you think it's just withdrawal sypmtoms from removal (or could it be early signs......ok, so I'm just being somewhat optimitic & impatient on this one!!!!)

Don't want to test because just seems ridiculus.Half of me just wants to see AF so that I know where I am and can start charting etc.

What d'ya think?

Claire - how did you get on at the weekend - any sign of the dreaded AF?

Elizabeth - welcome! How are you feeeling since removal?

speak soon

tamarisk
