DH has taken it remarkably well [Smiler] A few minutes of 'wows', 'oks', a cigar and a large scotch. It was a really lovely reaction actually. Can't believe how lucky I've been.

Hello ladies,

I started on the 2WW string in july and after reading i thought i would come over here.

Me: - 21
DH: - 26
TTC: - 2 months

I had the merina for 15 months and had very similar symtoms as touchwood and jayjay.

In reply to Chesirelady and her DH you are both going through is normal i.e wondering how long it will take to fall pg and whether the coil has slimmed your chances etc.

Once the coil is removed your body will take some time to try and get to normality.

When the merina coil is in place it stops your overies from producing eggs hence the reason why you have a short period or none at all.

When the merina is removed for conception purposes it can take your body sometime to get back to normality as your overies have to start firing up again. Everyone is completely different I'm afraid and it could take your body upto 1 month or 18 months to fall pregnant it all depends.

So don't panic about it and just relax and enjoy the BDing!

Hello to everyone else

I am CD20 and AF is due next tuesday have been completely laid back about it all this month.

Think I completely missed my OV day but am not too worried. I have already started to get AF symptoms.

JayJay & Touchwood - How are you both getting

Heaps of baby dust to everyone

JayJay

How fantastic would that be. You test on the day of your anniversery and get a BFP!

My fingers are crossed for you.

It is a week until AF comes and started to get AF symptoms last night which was quite painful [Frowner!]

Hi Claire
I bought mine off eBay they are very good and cheap 10 tests for 3.50 I think. You don't have to get worried that the whole world will know either as they come in a jiffy envelope.
Hope this helps
Jayjay

P.S. You can also buy clearblue ones on eBay and they are cheaper than in the shops but not as cheap as the others.

Hi all,

I'm currently on the 2ww thread as i am 9DPO, feeling really anxious about the whole thing.
I already have two children, but they were surprises, so actually trying is weird!?
I had the mirena coil for three years, had no periods, put two stone on, along with all the other bad rubbish side effects.
I had it taken out and it took seven weeks for my periods to return, and here i am now!
I'm very new to all this actually thinking about when your ovulating etc... and getting the timing right.
Out of interest if anyone is clued up, i have a 28cycle, i BD CD10 and
CD14, not sure if that is good timing or not!!?[:I][:I]
Anyway good luck to everyone else and hoping i might have some good news soon.
Take care, bubbly x [Smiler]

Help! Im a newie! I had a mirena for a total of 8 years, no drastic probs as had no periods in that time so who is complaining. We have decided we would like another child but its now or never as our other children ( pre mirena) are now 11 & 9. I had the mirena out in may to be told they were unsure if I had been ovulating at all as no periods?
My periods have now returned to normal after a few months but am still not pregnant. Has any one conceived after having a mirena for so long? Beginning to think its not going to happen!

Welcome piglette - You will find this site really helpful and everyone is extremely supportive.

There is light at the end of the tunnel.

So don't panic about it and just relax and enjoy the BDing![Smiler]

When I first started TTC I thought that it was going to happen over night and got really dissapointed when AF first came but DH was really supportive and said when it happens it happens and not to get too carried away with it so this month I have just been completely calm and although we did not BD when I OV'd it still hasn't fazed me at all.[8D]

JayJay - how are getting on[?]

Sending you all baby dust by the bucket full!

J x
