little abbs, you need to go to your physician and have him/her check for the coil placement and your hcg level. From my experience (had it in place over 5 years). I would occasionally get spotting/a light period that would take me by surprise. I also would have times when my boobs would be sore for days on end (could've been hormonal or even increased salt intake).

Did you try the First Response Early result tests? They are the most sesitive tests so far and can detect a rise in hcg literally only a few days after implantation.

Good luck to you

I thought I would add a little update. Last Tuesday I woke up with a sharp pain in my right side. Sat up and felt a gush. Ran to the bathroom and had blood everywhere. I collected the clots that I passed and went right to the Dr. The nurse practitioner that I see was not helpful and right away told me it didnt look good. I requested a sono and was given one. They found a perfect little baby with a heart beat. The Dr thinks that I must have been carrying twins and lost the second one. They sent what I collected off to be tested by the lab. He also moved my due date to July 1. So, I am 13 weeks today. I am still bleeding off and on. Beginning to wonder when it is going to stop. Right now it is just spotting. I hope everyone else is doing well with thier pregnancies!

Hi JustStarting that is ab fab news!!!!! well done!!!!!! I have had a bit of a shock myself. I work in a radiology dept as a nurse and had a sneaky look with the u/s machine - well blow me there is two babies and two heart beats!!!

Then I had a bleed on boxing day and went up to hospital where they gave me official scan and both babies are absolutely fine, thank goodness. They are certain babies are identicle as they can only find one placenta so they must be sharing. I have got over the shock of having two now and I am really excited.

Hope you are keeping well, and once again I am really happy to hear your news.

Baby dust mixed with love and luck to all!!!!!

Nikkkki xx

Hello Ladies,
I'm new to all of this, but I have been reading all of your stories for the past couple of weeks, and how inspiring they are, it's been a god send finding this site! here's me story...
I'm 27 and have 2 children from a previous marriage, I have a new partner now who is my soulmate and we would really like to try for another child, so.... I had my Mirena removed 4 weeks ago now, and have still not had a visit from AF i'm very anxious as we are hoping to get on with TTC asap, can anyone give me any pearls of wisdom on this matter, or just some kindly words as I'm going out of my mind!
Although your guidence so far has proved to be really helpful, I would sort of like to know when to expect AF to help to ease my mind!
all the best to all who have both just recieve a BFP and for those who are still trying!

Hello myangel, How is everything going? any luck yet? well I had the much welcomed visit of AF exactly 6 weeks after removal of mirena, my only problem is it's been nearly 5 weeks since my last AF and she hasn't visited again since, I have been using OPK's and BD at the time of ovulation... but after 3 negative pregnancy tests I'm wondering wether my body is still out of sorts or wether I should continue testing? any thoughts? would love to also concieve before xmas.... here's hoping chick
Love and babydust Shevvy xxx

Hi All of those who are looking for inspiration/hope. I had merina removed on 9th oct 2008, light 3 day af on 12th oct 2008 and a big fat + on the 14th nov 2008. We now have identical twin daughters born by c section at 36 weeks on the 29 june 2009. They are an absolute delight and like a lot of people I was extremely worried I would find it difficult to conceive following the merina. It is not always the case, I hope my luck rubs off on all of you xx
