Question for any and everyone... I went to the doctor today because of an issue with a bump and tender tissue around my ankle. I was diagnosed with a staph infection and prescribed two antibiotics. Not sure why, but at the time I forgot to tell the doctor I was TTC. It's been 2 weeks since the start of TTC. I'm kind of worried about the medication. No, I'm not saying I am pregnant, because honestly it's just way too early to tell, but what makes me hesitate is the whole what if I am. Anyone have any advice?

Hi I know what you mean - I would be kind of worried what if I was too. Best thing would be to go and speak to a pharmacist - there should be somewhere that you can speak to them in private and then they can advise. Sorry to hear about your ankle, hope it clears up soon.

Another update from me - sorry if I am boring you all!! Thursday started getting cramping, lots of cm but no sign of af - yesterday the same so lots of people thought there was a chance I maybe about to ovulate. Finally managed to get dh to bd last night so now going to try and persuade him to do it on a more regular basis. Hows everyone else doing. Elusive_Horizon - back to the pharmacist thing I know that boots have a private consultation room (they have one in our high street branch). x

Dh is getting cold feet!!!! I cant believe this!! says worrying about how I will cope etc etc - i'm soooooooooo cross at him right now,and feel like such an idiot. Think maybe he didnt want to bd cause he was unsure rather than too tired!! you never know friday night might have done the trick as still no sign of anything. There's no way I'm going back on birth control - if he doesnt want us to conceive right now he's going to have to use condoms (he hates them). I am having such a crappy day, feeling really low, cant shake off this cold and my boys are grumpy and playing me up too.

Hi Juststarting so but have no idea about temps and ewcm - I had cramps come on last thursday am and felt wet and thought that af must have turned up but it was just lots of ewcm - it stopped for a day but is now back. After the about turn my dh now seems back on track again - I think he is just worried about how I will manage as he is rarely home and my family arent in the area. I hope that you manage to work out whats going on.

Lovely news Wanting! Congratulations! That was quick. I hope everything goes well. As for myself, I'm taking the meds as prescribed. DH and I discussed it and he was more concerned about my health. Staph is scary. We're still TTC and my period isn't due until the 3rd of October, so it's too early to test yet. I can't make up my mind if I want to be preggo or wait until after the medication. Either way, good luck to you all. And st, glad to hear DH is on the right track. I also agree with you, I haven't bought the first OV test, nor have I ever used one. I want to enjoy my BDing. I don't need the added stress.

Thanks for the congrats...I know it did happen really fast- so now I just hope things progress well. st- I do believe I had af. I continued to have af every month even with the coil- just lighter and shorter. I was scheduled for af the day after mirena removal- wasn't sure if it would be messed up or what my body would do after reading some of the posts on here...but sure enough the next day I started spotting and it continued for 3 days just like my normal af. elusive- staph is very scary. glad you are taking the medication and taking care of yourself. hope all continues to go well. never did any ov tests- just the ov calendar to chart fertility. too much work takes the fun out of it!

Hi Guys Wanting - I also had periods every month too and like you they were lighter and shorter - did have a very very light bleed on the 1st of this month so maybe I'll be due on very soon, they were sporadic though and I could never determine a real pattern. Keeping my fingers crossed that everything is fine for you with this pregnancy. Elusive - Hows the medication working on your staph infection? I maybe due on around the same time as you, as I was saying to Wanting I had a very very light bleed on the 1st of this month so will wait and see. Talena - Hows is all going?
Had another big chat with my dh last night - we are definately back on track now, he hadnt changed his mind but was trying to get himself prepared for trying for another. Anyway all is now hunky dory so I'm glad.
Here's hoping that the bfp stork comes to those who dont have one soon.
