Hi Heidi, First time around i just used to get a digging pain and it always felt like it was scraping inside my womb..maybe it was in the wrong place, not sure, After i had no.3 i had it put in again.. the bleeding settled down quickly but i suffered from a lot of headaches, severe bloating, nausea, upset stomach..(pregnancy symptoms) sleeping all the time, tender breasts, weight gain- ive always struggled to keep weight on but ate like a pig when i has mirena.. lightheaded, panic attacks, feeling down more than usual.. there are probably more but cant think at the moment!! Emma. x

hello everyone,
I am new on this site and after reading everyones post I am starting to regain hope. I was starting to feel like something was wrong with me. I have two other children who I was able to conceive immediately I am now 31 and was starting to think maybe my baby making days are over.
I was on the Merina for two years with no real complications other than some slight cramping and maybe a bit of moodiness. I pretty mush didn't get any periods at all. I got the Merina taken out in June and now it is march and I am still not pregnant. Has anyone ever gone this long and then conceive. I noticed that most people on here took less than 6 months and I am feeling a bit frustrated.
I divorced my children's father and am now married to a wonderful man but he wants a child so bad as he doesn't have any I am so afraid that I may not be able to provide that for him. I know he will still love me either way but I still can't help feeling I am failing him. After reading some posts I have bought some dong quai and angus-castus hopefully that will help. I have gotten my periods back and seem to be quite regular they just seem to be a lot shorter and lighter than before Merina. If anyone has any advice or the same sort of situation with a positive outcome I would love to hear
thanks so much so sorry it was so long

Hi all, Thought I would join this site as I had my merina coil removed this weds I had a slight snotty bleed (sorry for the description ) this stopped on weds evening and i have felt really sickly since then and today I have pink type of bleed now so I am now confused as to what is happening with me. I had the coil in for 5 years and we already have 3 children youngest DD is 5 and 2 DS 10 & 6 we have had coil taken out just to see if we can try for our last baby, I am 35 and DH is 37 so biological clock is ticking for us!! We decided to try for a year and if it happens it is meant to be if not then we already have 3 lovely children and are very thankful for that as all pregnancies were all ok with not too much trouble Just wondered if anyone else had the same kind of bleeding after coil removal as the doctors dont seem to be any help at all Thanks so much

Hi Rachel I also come from Lincoln we will have to keep each other posted on everything!! I cant really give you advise though sorry just thought id say hi, I have looked through many posts on here just to see whats ahead for me I had my coil removed last weds and experiencing strange bleeding but guess its just y body returning back to normal as the coil was in for 5 years and i had very rare periods. After looking through the posts maybe you would be better having coil taken out now and go on the pill to get your body back into the swing of things as that looks like what other people have been doing for the first couple of months. Sorry I cant help too much but good luck with everything anyway x

Hi, I had my coil removed as it was due for removal after being in for 5 years I did not really think about all the side effects i was having until it came out then looked on the internet and everything people mention on here I did suffer with I just thought it was old age!! I suffered with bad stomach bloating, weight gain, thrush, no labido, i had no periods or not many which to me did not seem right, I went very very mardy which is not in my nature at all my mood swings got that bad I left my husband as I hated him all in all the past couple of years have been a nightmare. Anyway since I had the coil out which is only a week ago I know but I have started to feel human again and me and my DH had a good chat and thought why not try for another child as we both still feel very broody even though we already have 3 we think just one more will finish off our family just nice!! Then he is going to go and get himself sorted so I dont ever have to sort out the contraception ever again. We said we will give it a year of ttc if it does not happen then it obviously was just not meant to be but if it does it will be really great. Im just not so sure about my body now Iv had the coil removed im nervous thinking that maybe my body will not get back to normal again and I wont ever ovulate again, strange really having them thoughts but thats what hormones do to us women hey!! I read a post on here and someone said we spend most of our lives trying to avoid ttc and when we actually do want to it all gets confusing and so hard to do lol the way of life hey!!!

I will keep you posted. I have been trying to read through this forum and im getting baffled by all the ov kit thing as i really do not know when to test and it all sounds very confusing, i suppose when my actual AF comes then i might get some kind of understanding I am having a very light bleed so do i count this as my AF or just wait!! Oh well i guess time really will tell but I will keep posting on here as a lot of people on here seem to be in the same situation and seem friendly and its always nice to chat to people who are having same issues in life!!

Hi there.. I just got my mirena out last thursday. I too had about 4 days of pinkish bleeding. Done now. My doctor told me to wait for one Af before ttc. But he also said not to tcc. He said "Just have sex twice a week". So that is where I am at the moment. I've been loading up on the vitamins and red raspberry leaf tea. Apparently helps regulate the hormones. It can't hurt I guess. So now I wait for AF at the beginning of the month. It didn't take long to get pg for ds but I just don't know what it's going to be like this time.. approaching the big 35! lol Anyway, babydust to all and happy bding..
