Hi Alexandra I think that an ectopic does show on a pregnancy test. An ectopic pregnancy is when it grows in your tubes so I imagine that all your hormones are progressing as normal, so it should show as a positive. Are your periods normally regular? I know that with my 1st pregnancy I didnt get a positive straight away, I tried again 2 days later and it was positive. Good luck and I hope you get the result you want

Hi I did a pregnancy test and it was negative, I did another 1 a week later and it was positive. My sister's pregnancies never showed up on a home test, she had to have a blood test to determine if she was pregnant. When I told my dr I was pregnant and that i had found out from a home test, he said it was now normal for g.p's to retest as home tests have been known to give untrue results. It would be best to talk to your dr for advice. Sharon

A week later and still no period - I 'feel' pregnant though - sore boobs, back ache, period-ish pains and I'm very emotional. The test still say negative - what's going on?! I'm going mad!

Have u been 2 see your dr yet? If u go and explain that u have already tried 2 pregnancy tests, they may refer u 2 a hospital 2 have your blood taken to compare hormone levels This is what happened to my sister. U have your blood taken on 1 day and then u have to go back about 3 or 4 days later. I hope u find out 1 way or another soon. Sharon

Thank you all for your support and advice. The bad news is I came on this morning (only three weeks late!). Oh well, it means more practicing next month! I'm sure we'll cope!! ;-)
