Wow Michie - you're efficient! Meant to say, I'm keeping my dates until my 12 week scan, so could I go back to 7 weeks please! Thank you! Pxx

PS Jolly Jo - you can get arrowroot biscuits from Waitrose. They are very similar to Rich Tea, but nice and plain and soothing.

HI petal 2. glad your scan went well.
I hate this waiting part till you have your scan and see midwife at 12 weeks. it wont really seem real till then.
Didn't feel too ill y'day but this morning felt really sick after taking girls to playschool, then was sick. I know its a good sign, but you forget how bad you actually feel. I only ever felt queezy with first three pregnancies. with 4yr old was sick up till 20 weeks, then 2yr old up till 13 weeks. I feel so bloted already, my trousers are already feeling a little tight. I told my older 3 children tonight as they thought something was a bit up ( have gone off coffee which I usually drink) my 2 boys are really happy again but my 15dd was really rude about it. she'l come round. Not telling anyone else for a while yet.
Jolly jo- sorry you are feeling so ill. just think of the end result.
Michie. heartburn gets worse with each pregnancy apparently!! I not joking. You could try drinking cold milk, that worked well for me.
Am off to the pub with hubby to collect an antler. ( he's an fletcher, into medieval reenacting as an archer and makes loads of arrows for others and seels them on e-bay.) through this we have been invited to a medieval banquet, which in principle i'm looking forward to, but I Like watching events but not joining in and have had to purchase a dress, otherwise I would have been put in the stocks. (seriously). Found one on E-bay for £30, which is cheaper than hiring one.
take care all

Hey y'all!! Petal...thats great news! I remember that floating on air feeling after my 7 wk emergency scan!! Its great isn't it! Well done! Michie chuck!! you caan take gaviscon, ive had it right from the start but i dont take what it says on bottle i just take a swig from bottle..enough to 'coat' it!! milk does naff all for me, although i had a craving for it last month- a pint at a time! better than a pint of the other stuff eh?! Also read in mother and baby or bounty book i think that peppers are supposed to help, not salt and pepper pepper, the plastic looking ones, mmmm, nice and crunchy! take care, Emma. x

Good afternoon all, Petal: Glad to hear all went well at the scan, I bet you havent stopped smiling yet Michie: How are you feeling today? Have you told anyone else the good news yet? Mandy4land: I hope you are feeling well. Im sure dd will come round to the idea of being a big sis. Hayley: Hope to see you posting on here again soon mate. Well, ive had friends and family on the lookout for arrowroot biscuits but as of yet we havent found any where we are living ssooooooo ive ended up with a big box of.......rusks instead and they are soooo good! Unfortunatly still being ill every morning and eating half a tin of soup at 10:30am every morning!! ive gone off fruit juice and onto ice cold water now . Are you still suffering petal or has yours eased off a little? Better crack on try and catch up later xx

Hi Jollyjo.. I found water biscuits helped with my sickness.. just plain no butter on them.. Deffo got to have the rusks aswell, i had boxes of them but kids kept eating them! They are cheap in Lidl if you have one near you! Also ice cold water and ice did the trick aswell, couldn't face any flavours at all, I had the noro-virus at the same time i tried the ginger ale and biscuits and couldn't face them after i had stopped being ill with it.. I found fizzy water good aswell and drank loads of the stuff! Sea bands are supposed to be good although i haven't tried them myself, but i would say the best one of all for sickness/nausea is eating something light and often.. as you prob know already!! Its just the thought of doing it! its ok once its down! good luck anyway!

Hi everyone, Hope you're all Ok? I just can't stop smiling at the thought of my little bean with its lovely heartbeat! I feel so protective of it! It seems a lot more real now! Am still being sick every morning and am off my food in the evening, but have a good lunch. I am finding frozen grapes and water biscuits very helpful - and the arrowroot are nice too. Have you got a Waitrose near you, Jo? Just SOOOOOOOOO tired - amd good for nothing by this time. Dh has been wonderful and taken over doing everything! My nips are still v sore, boobs huge and still have yellow discharge. Hope this is all OK!! I am also very bloated and need the loo loads and feel nauseous a lot of the time, but I don't mind, as it all means little bean is growing! Love to all, Pxx

Good Evening, Just a quick one before I put the kids in the bath..... I havent been too bad today but I thnk thats because ive been stuffing my face all day!! We dont have a waitrose near us and I really wouldnt mind trying those arrowroot biscuits, but im happy with my rusks! and like your children angel, my kids spotted them as soon as they got in from school and they've helped themselves cheeky monkeys!! Petal: I still feel and have the same sypmtoms as yourself. The tiredness hits me about 1:30 but once ive had some tea I seem to have energy for a good couple of hours so the kids aren't seeing me lying on the settee all the time! well heres to another night of beauty sleep. Good night all Joxx

Hiya Jo! Here I am, I found it and thought I would join in the conversation.
Hey to all you mum's to be xx
I'm due in September but because I'm not sure about my date of conception - we think I'm about 8 1/2 weeks now so until I see my doctor I won't know exact dates.
I'm not as sick as my first pregnancy - I have an 18 month old boy and I couldn't even get in a car without feeling travel sick - so maybe this time it will be much better and easier for me.
Well I best go get some rest as I am feeling so tired. Nice to read some good advice and I'll catch up with you all again soon xxx

Welcome Mason's mummy! Congrats on expecting your second- and glad you're not feeling too bad. I have woken up feeling SOOOOO sick and really wishing I didn't have to go to work. I am a teacher and am finding it increasingly difficult, as I feel so sick and keep needing the loo. Also, meant to ask if anyone else has been rather burpy too? Or is it just me? Have a good day. Love, Pxx

Good morning, How is everyone feeling today??? Welcome masonsmummy, I know your quite busy with work at the moment but im glad you found this forum as it's somewhere you can talk freely to others who are experiencing the same thing, so I hope you pop on when you can and let us know how your getting on Petal: Lol at you and burping...... I seem to be the opposite their as I find myself trumping alot of the time *blushing*, im putting it down to the fact that im soooo bloated heehee Michie : I hope your still feeling well within yourself. You'll have to start taking it easy on the wii soon lol So far I have been ill as soon as i got up. I was rudely kept awake from 10:10pm till gone 1:30am by my next door neighbours having a massive row...she'd kicked him out so he decided to get a metal bar and whack the windows and doors gggrrrrr. not nice to listen to but it happens at least once every 6wks with them....hoping they get evicted. I am freezing cold and feeling hungry already (already had a bowl of frosties). Can I ask, has anyone got a big appetite? I dont appear to be putting any weight on but it's like im always eating?! Well, i'll be catching up later if ive got the energy heehee Love Jo xx

angel....thats great that I can use gaviscon, thanks!!!! Hi masonsmummy!!!!! welcome!!! when are you due?? petal....sorry you feel so sick im burpy when my tummys empty. It was so bad yeterday, that i had bellyache jollyjo....i just told my pregnant friend, she's due in april, and she screamed when i told her!! haha!! i needed to get it off my chest!!! im going to tell all the parents in 2 weeks, then everyone else a few weeks after that. if i can hold it that long!!! mandy4land....ur dd will come around well I went to my doc yesterday, what a waste of time!!!!!! i could only get a stand in doc. I waited 40 mins even though i had appointment, then i was in with him 20 mins, while he tried to figure out how to print the letter I had to sign!!! he took my blood pressure. then he hands me another letter with all the dates for gp and midwife. and that was it!!!! no EDD, no urine sample!!, no leaflets!!!!! it was a joke!!!! the last time i was pg, the doc tested me, asked me tons of questions, told me what to eat and what to avoid, gave me loads of info, EDD, little books and charts etc. I might ring the receptionist and ask what there proceedure is for people coming in pregnant. Im probably being silly, but i could have been any mad woman come in from the street and say there pg when theyre not!! gggrrrr to that diddery doctor!!! anyway, i better go get brekkie, love and babydust to everyone, and tons of stickyglue xxxx michelle
