Hi ladies, I'm counting down to my appointments on weds and fri, will let you know how it goes. On Friday I also found out that I am entitled to full pay for 9 months which is a huge weight off my mind. Baby has been moving about a lot lately, it feels strange sometimes. The funny thing is my husband still has not felt any kicks or mavemnets, maybe soon eh!. I start my antenatal classes on Thurs, apparently they are walk in sessions from 2-4 every thurs so I've just told my husband as I've just found out I hope he can make them.

Yes Petal 2 I cnat believ it's the third trimester already, hmm. The funny thing is, labour doesn't scare me, the only thing that freaks me out a bit is the delivering of the placenta, that's weird isnt it? we bought a travel cot and bouncer over the weekend, so we are getting there slowly but surely :-). Good news, my aol connection at home should be fixed soon so i'll be able to pop in much more often.

Have a nice day ladies.

Hi all!
Well, it's pouring here! How miserable!!! We were so lucky in Cornwall - I think we had the best sunshine so far this "summer"! Our picnic is off for today, so we're going into town for a nice lunch instead.

Jo - how did your appt go? All is well, I hope? I have my next appt on 12th Aug - the midwife is coming to our house to discuss my birth plan etc. My next scan is 19th Aug - can't wait! Hopefully it will show that bubs has turned (though I don't think it has yet, cheeky little monkey!) It's so cute how excited your other children are about your new one!! Oh - and yes, I have been keeping a preg diary, but it's not v detailed!

Michie - what a shame about the zoo, but it sounds as if your DS did very well with all his prizes!!! Is he excited about your new arrival? Wow, you're brave having that hosp appt so near your due date! I have a hair appt in London 3 weeks before mine and I'm already slightly worrying about that!! Silly, I know!!

Shenx - you're due v near to Jo and I! I'm due 13th and Jo 12th! It's a shame about not seeing the same midwife - I've been lucky enough to have seen the same one since 8 weeks! Welcome to the thread!

Curvalicious - what amazing news about your mat pay!!! It's wonderful! I am also feeling a bit weird about the delivery of the placenta too! It's all such new territory!

Mandy - how are you doing? Are you busy with all your children during the hols?

Thanks for the turning vibes, guys - keep 'em coming!!
NCT class was great fun last night!! We learnt about forceps/ventouse/caesarean (not so fun!) then we did bathing baby and nappy changing!! The babies were dolls - with "dirty" nappies! It was hilarious!!
We went to see Batman yesterday afternoon and baby was NOT impressed!! The film was so loud and gave me lots of shocks, so poor baby was shocked too! I had 5 Braxton Hicks!! Was worried labour was starting!!
Oh - and aquanatal has stopped for August (boo) but I am going swimming with a girl from the class and one from NCT on Friday, so that'll be good.
Hope you're all well.
Love,
Pxx

Hi to you all.

Welcome Shenx. If you want to ask anything ask away. I'm on baby no 6. and have had 3 normal deliveries and 2 sections and this will be my 3rd section. I've been really lucky too with seeing the same midwife all the way through, except when I have to go to see the consultant at the hospital. then its pot luck. The lovely midwife has been working in the community since I had my 1st ds nearly 21 yrs ago so have seen her quite a few times.

Your fluid could be a very watery discharge, as I have had that a few times, and it will probably get more as time goes on.

I get to see bubs tomorrow when I have a growth scan. can't wait. Smiler Smiler and see the consultant too. Then midwife in 2 weeks, then another scan at 36 weeks and a section date. Smiler

I'm so uncomfortable at nights, what with heartburn, achiness, baby moving and needing to pee loads. oh well it will get worse before it gets better.

Jo hope your son is better. I'm pretty much all ready for this one now, just have to pack hospital stuff.

Petal, batman is supposed to be a good film. but know what you mean about the cinema being v lound.

michie: your indoor fun park sound brill.

hi to curvalicious.

My dc are so excited about the baby especially the 2 youngest. they keep asking is it today.

take care everyone.

OMG your on child number 6 thats mental you really must have your hands full, I always wanted a big family but the way i have been during this pregnancy i dont think i could look after children whle being pregnant.

As im bored il write a bit more bout me but sure ye dnt really needa read it as its very boring,
im 21 and im in n.ireland and my fela is 39 and he is in england, jst a wee bit of an age gap but he is definately not a sugar daddy Roll Eyes so dnt know why im with him lol.... naw luv him ta wee bits but wether it works or not time will tell. There isnt any jobs going anywer at the minute so he is staying in england to work and i moved back home to be closer to my family as i have like an inflammatory/auto immune disorder still not completely sure as to what it is but part of the condition is arthritis that randomly flares up so i can need a lot of help at times. For the time being im jobless (which i hate) and am guna ave to try to live on benefits untill the fella decides on wether he wants a family or to live the life of a single bloke. Not really the best start for a child but I do have a lot of support from my family, and hes a decent enough person but i think i scare him lol apparently im head strong and dont really need him and he doesnt like it. Anyways thats my we rant done and its kept me occupied for several minutes lol.

I think the m/w was tryin to tell me that it was jst discharge but i had to wear a pad as i soaked thru my clothes (sorry for bein graphic)

No one ever tells ye that carrying a baby is hard work. Is anyone else lookin forward to having there body back to themselves? or am i jst bein selfish and a complainer.

Ill hopefully get used to this site soon and maybe torture yous all tehee, as i really dont have much of a life. TC

Good evening mums and tums,

Lots of posts to read up on today great stuff Smiler

Shenex: Thanks for letting us know abit about you Smiler I was wondering if this is your first baby. You are not alone with the lack of midwife care. I have been made to feel uncomftable on a couple of occasions and I have only see the same midwife twice through the whole of my pregnancy! Unfortunatly leakage is part and parcel of carrying a baby Roll Eyes and it probably will get worse before it gets better. Nows the time to be practicing those pelvic floor exercises, they really do help Wink Have you been getting any braxton hicks contractions? I havent noticed any for a while now. I hope things work out how you'd like with you and your partner.

Mandy: Great to hear all is continuing well. You will have to let us know how your growth scan goes Big Grin

Petal: The weather has been pants again hasnt it?! We ended up taking dc to the wacky warehouse for most of the afternoon today. Just watching them has worn me out lol. Your nct classes sound interesting......dolls and real messy nappies lol Big Grin Big Grin I bet your dp enjoyed that lol.

Michie: How are you? hope your not working too hard. Wavinh hi Big Grin

I had my 34+ app this morning. It was quite funny actually, every time midwife put her hand on my tum, bubs kept kicking her and then she said it felt like he was moving his whole body away from her lol Big Grin Big Grin my dc were in stiches. He is measuring spot on for dates and he is completly head down yayyyyyyy. She did get me worried for a min because she kept his heartbeat on out loud for ages........she told me after it was for the kids benefit phewwwww Big Grin next app in just 2wks then weekly arrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhh.

Ive got my mom coming for tea at 6, didnt realise it was 5:40 and I havent started ANYTHING yet opppps, better go xxxx

Im so sorry just realised I havent left a message for curvalicous.......Hope you are well, will make sure I leave a msg for you first tomorrow Red Face (embarressed) sp xxx

grrr i just lost a long post!!!! Ill try again!!
well, we all went to the waterpark Monday. And it was FAB!!! dad and dp brought ds down all the slides, even the adult ones, he loved it!! I wasnt allowed down the slides, but it was fun watching them Big Grin Dp wants to go every week lol!!
Well, we are having yucky weather over here, is it raining with all of you'se?? Im going to buy all the toiletries for me and baby today, plus the maternity pads, breast pads cotton wool etc, for my maternity bag. Im actually looking forward to it lol!! I dont have too much left to buy, i just need blankets, sheets, electric breastpump (way cheaper on ebay), monitor (also cheaper on ebay), nursing bras, and some nighties with front opening.I think I have everything else sorted. Dint collect my buggy yet!!! I just hadnt got the time at the weekend, so I will collect it this weekend. o any of you keep looking at the tiny babygros you have bought?? I do Roll Eyes Big Grin theyre just so tiny!
Jollyjo....i was tired just looking at ds playing all weekend lol! i slept like a log all weekend!! im also tidying out all my junk, we must be nesting!! Im glad your appointment went so well! cheeky boy kicking the midwife lol!!
Shenx...i do have to wear alldays pads everyday, as I get a lot of discharge. Also, when I sneeze or cough, I pee a little Roll Eyes, so I think I should be doing pelvic floor excercises. I hope your partner comes to his senses and follows you over, I hope he finds work. Its tough here in the south finding jobs too.Im glad you have family to help and support you, thats the most important thing. I was a single mother for a while with my 1st child, and would have been lost without my family. Fingers crossed that everything works out for you xxx I live in Drogheda by the way, not too far from newry. If you find that your not getting enough info from yur midwife, you should attend antenatel classes, they are wonderful. We are here to help aswell Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin your not being selfish wanting your body back! I cant wait to get mine back lol!! the chart is the list of dates i put up to keep an eye on peoples dates, ill add you today Big Grin
Petal...ds is very excited about the baby! he keeps rubbing my belly, and kissing it....aw! Yeah, Im a bit nervous about ds's appointment so close to my due date, but dp booked the day off, and ill pop the hospital bag in the boot of the car lol! Yay to another scan!! lucky you!!lol at your beanie not liking batman Big GrinBig Grin
mandy....woo hoo to your scan today!! let us know how you get on? wow, it wont be long and you will know the c section day Eeker time is flying by!!
Curvalicious....i hope your appointment went well. how are you keeping?

does anyone else have dry nipples? mine are terrible!! Im wondering is it just me? Im going to tell midwife tommorrow when I see her. I probably just need a cream.im off to sort the chart, back in a bit xx

Hey i think im addicted to this thing already lol, The weather is so sticky and muggy really doesnt help with any of the comfort issues.

Oh water park sounds fun, Im really not fit to do a lot yous all sound to be able to go on days out. Is it normal to be dying after an hour of doing nething that involves movin around. I have been doin pelvic floor excercises from before i got pregnant that was to improve the muscles above my hip or the muscle that supports it, on the advice of a physio, so i ave been doin them pretty much throughout the pregnancy, i now ave to do the less strenuous exercises now though.

Drogheda isnt too far from meself!!!
Am gettin braxton hicks quite regularly and ave to admit i wouldnt be a big fan they are rather irritating. Does any of yous feel the babys hiccups cus i also get a bit irratated with them, can feel them in lik my back passage, but when i first felt them i thought it was great lol was a bit of a novelty, but baby gets them bout 5 times a day for ages at a time. Cant believe that am dwn to single digit weeks.

I have nearly everything bought for my hospital bag xcept i needa get a front opening nightie or well summit to wear during labour, but am not sure what...
Oh and could any1 advice me on what size of nursing bra or how to figure out what size i should get, my breasts havnt changed at all throughout the pregnancy so i dont know if i should just buy like 2 nursing bras a size bigger than my usual size, because they are quite expensive so i cant afford really to buy on the off chance that they will fit when bubs arrives.

Curvalicious i hope all is well with the scan....

I have a friend due a few days after me, has jst found out she may only have 2wks left they may have dated her very wrong at the start.

Sorry still dont know everybody yet..... have yous all got names picked?

Ladies,

I think im having a mini break down Eeker I am and have been trying to pack my hospital bag since 11am this morning and everytime I pick a baby item up I start crying Frowner Roll Eyes. I have emptied the contents of baby items (not clothes) onto my bed and im still completly overwhelmed Big Grin I will be 35wks tomorrow and the realisation that baby could come at anytime is really getting to me today for some reason. I cant remember a thing about what I packed nearly 5yrs ago for my ds so already im over-packing! I actually feel quite sick to be honest Frowner Dp isnt here so I cant burden him with it (not that id trust him to pack my bag) im just feeling really funny today.....anyone else?????

Im sorry I just had to share those thoughts Roll Eyes

Curvalicious: I hope all went well for you today Big Grin

Waving hi to all other ladies......Im welling up again feeling silly so im logging off for abit, try and sort myself out Frowner xx

Just logging on quickly to say hi to all, but especially to give massive hugs to Jo. (((()))))
Don't worry about feeling overwhelmed - I think that's totally normal! I am also v hormonal and when DH wasn't very enthusiastic about giving me a foot massage the other day (and who can blame him?!?!) - I just started sobbing my heart out!!
Take deep breaths and if I were you, I'd print off a list and just pack what you can/have got. It's no prob to overpack - and your DH can always get you anything you have not got.
I know it is a bit scary to think that baby could be here any day - but be kind to yourself - and blame those hormones!
Sending you a calming cup of tea, some biccies and a bug hug.
Love,
Pxx
