Good afternoon,

How is everyone feeling? Having a nice weekend?

I am not leaving the house today and all my windows are tightly shut! both my dd and myself have been suffering terrible hayfever. Feel so sorry for dd, shes only 7 and seems to have it worse than me so far Frowner going to take her docs on monday to see if they can give her something that will actually help!

Just seen in the magazine guide, on wednesday on central at 9pm (clashes with Big Brother Eeker lol) there is a documentry on about large babies. I think it will make good viewing. The baby featured in the mag was 13lbs 1oz Eeker Eeker I cant imagine it myself Big Grin so i'll definatly be watching it.

Ive decided to invest in a new mattress before baby gets here, im sure it's contributing to my backache and argos have got a good sale on at the mo (not that the baby will be sleeping in our bed Roll Eyes)

Not alot else going on at the mo. Have you all being keeping a pregnancy diary? I had my other 2 out earlier comparing Smiler.

2 weeks today until my 4d scan yayyyyyy, Michie what day is yours on??

Right will pop on later, hope your having a good weekend so far Big Grin xx

Hi Everyone.

Jo, you and your dd sound like you're really suffering with your hayfever. My second ds suffers quite badly too, he hadn't had any asthma for quite a few years and last year it came back with a vengance and again this year its been quite bad from the pollen and he has ended up needing steroids for it. They put him on some medicatiin for hayfever which helps.

I've seen that programe advertised too, it looks interesting but scary too as I am expected to have a big baby as last one was 2 .5 oz off being 10lb. least I won't have to push it out though!! but saying that my 4yr old was only 7lb 3oz so you never know.

Pregnancy symptoms are driving me potty at times. If I sit for too long my bum goes numb and the top of my leg so I struggle to walk for a little while. my dh and older dc lagh at me. Restless legs are a right pain at night too. swollen ankles and the really bad craving for curry.(oh the joys of pregnancy)but otherwise I feel really healthy.

Michie, sorry to hear about your df. it must have been very frightening for you to watch. Hope all is well now. least your holiday is very close.

petal, Hope your feeling better too. Least the school holidays arn't too far off.

I can start maternity leave from 13th july so thats just 6 weeks away.

I've been thinking about my planned c section. the thought of having a spinal again fills me with horror, I hate needles. but once that is in the actual section will be ok. Its just the recovery time after.

I had another bargin off ebay. I decided not to buy a new pram as this really will be last baby. I found a cosatto carry cot pram that goes into a pushchair for £20. + £30 delivery, but it is in really good condition. Ieverything comes off for washing.

There's me wittering on. am off to get dd's into pj's ready to watch Dr who.

take care

Mandy: Not another parent who makes their dc watch Doctor Who Eeker Big Grin im only joking....both of my two are scared silly of doctor who because when they stay at their nans she makes them watch it and always ends up scarying them to death Big Grin she used to make me watch it as a child aswell Roll Eyes not a fav of mine any more Big Grin

It sounds like you are feeling quite well in your pregnancy, great stuff. I also sometimes wake up in the night and my calves are killing me. I read somewhere that you should wake your partner's up and get them to massage the area straight away Wink I haven't, I dont think my dp would appreciate it somehow so I suffer in silence Big Grin (touch wood) I havent used the inhaler for asthma yet but if hayfever carries on like this it wont be much longer before I need it Frowner always puts a dampner on summer!

I have tried not to think about the weight of this dc because ds was 8lb 6oz and I know they are supposed to be bigger Eeker Big Grin what will be will be aye Big Grin

Petal and Michie: Waving hiiiii

Goodnight all think we're watching War Of The Worlds shortly. xx

'allo!!
we were at the Zoo today, and it was a beautiful day for it!!Big Grin

Jo...boo to hayfever Mad My mam suffers, but i seem to be ok touch wood. I do find my asthma is worse though. My 4D scan is next Sunday....8 more sleeps!!!!
I soooo need a new mattress too!! i can feel springs Eeker what date is your 4d scan?? I cant wait to compare Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin

Mandy...what a bargain on your pram!!! I was looking at second hand quinny buzz's myself, but Ive my heart set on the 4 wheeled one, so no hope!!! i did like the Mothercare My 3 Travel System, but the car seat doesnt click into a base in the car so that was out the window grrr!!! do you have a date for your c-section??

Petal...98 days lol!!! i know how many days everyone else is, I must check mine!!! Whens your next scan??

I have a question for everyone on Braxton Hicks. I didnt have tem on ds, but I think Im having them for a good few weeks now. I had mentioned a few weeks back that I thought bubs was sitting on something really uncomfortable, creating a very weird feeling, which wasnt painful. Well now i have read about braxton hicks, and it says it feels like a tightening, and that describes what Im feeling. It lasts a couple of minutes, maybe once a day to maybe 4 times a day. Did any of youse have this? As I have been having it quite a few weeks, maybe since 14-15 weeks, has it been to early to get them? I only ever get it once, then its gone for hours then, or untill the next day. It has gotten a bit tighter in the past few weeks.

anywhoo!! ive waffled loads, big bro is on.....lol!!

Hi everyone,

Michie, I get braxton hicks quite frequently too. for at least the last 8 weeks. You're probably feeling them more as its your second baby, unfortunately the afterpains get worse too. Frowner Frowner

Don't have a date for my section, but know it will be around 39 weeks. Which means it will be in 16 weeks. yay. Smiler

Jo: my 2dd love Dr who. they love anything grusome and scary. Its lovely when they are in their pj's sitting cuddled up watching it as they are so quiet. enthralled.

Good afters mums and tums,

How are we feeling today? sounds like youve had a good weekend and made the most of the weather Big Grin

All is well this end apart from blinking hayfever. Still havent been able to get in at the docs so brought some eyedrops today. The lady kept me waiting at the counter for a good 10mins because she didnt want to SELL them to me because im pregnant!! She has also recommended a drug free thing that is £6+ and its smaller than a lipbalm pot (cant think what its called now) your supposed to smear it under your nose so it traps the pollen before going up it! sounds good but alot of money so going to see if I get get it on prescription cheaper first.

Michie: I remember having braxton hicks with first two but definatly havent had them yet. Yayyy to 4d scan fast approaching Big Grin Mine is on sat 21st. So are you finding out the sex???

Mandy: Ive been trying not to think about the birth let alone the after pains Eeker I had them so bad after ds definatly not looking forward to them again.

Petal: Have you any other pregnancy symptoms? had any more leaky boobs? I havent. Still getting backache on a daily basis which isnt good. Have you got a brown line down your tum now? Smiler Whens your next antenatal?

I weighed myself this am and ive put a whole pound on. Glad I brought some scales though because midwife didnt weigh me.

Who's hooked on BB already then? Big Grin Big Grin

Right better get some tea started.......too hot to cook Roll Eyes

Ah! Jo!!!
Have you saved me from unnecessary pain, Dh was telling about some wax thing that you put under your nose, just like you say.. i told him to shut up being an idiot- though he was taking the p'ss.. feel awful now, so i shall phone and tell him in a min i'm sorry!!
I didn't know you could take anything when pg i usually have telfast tabs, flixonase nose spray and raptil eye drops, dr wont give them to me when pg though as i had to suffer last time aswell..
Its horrid isn't it, funny though how it can affect some people so bad and others nothing at all!!

hope things are well with you and bubs,
And a special hello to Michie.. see, i'm trying real hard to stalk..and post lol!

Hi emma,

Ive just posted on your thread, come back on here and realised that your not actually taking anything for hayfever at the mo opps Roll Eyes Smiler im blaming it on pregnancy and the heat Big Grin I was sold the boots own eye drops and they have given myself and dd instant relief. I will be asking about a nasal spray aswell. My friend who was 35wks pregnant was prescribed hayleve tablets which she took with no problems and has since had a healthy baby so shes given me the box and leaflet to take to docs to see if I can have the same thing Confused Big Grin im hopeful but its a mission just to get in at my doctors Mad

Right better go and sort dc out for bed.
Take care xx

Oh Michie HAPPY 24 WEEKS XX

Hi guys,
Sorry for my lack of correspondence - have been/am up to my eyeballs in reports, had to go to work for Open Day on Sat - and DH is decorating downstairs, so we have nowhere to sit - and the electricity has been on and off!!

Hope you're all ok - will catch up properly later in the week.

Am fine, just tired, a bit hormonal and I have a rash on my bump!! Bump is suddenly MUCH bigger!!

Take care all,
Back soon,
Love,
a very exhausted Pxx

Afternoon ladies,

Coming on earlier because I had a very bad nights kip last night wayyyyy tooooo hotttttt so I will definatly be in bed early tonight.

Petal: Sorry to hear your snowed under at the moment. Are your energy levels starting to drop? I know mine are, cant wait for the midwife to check my iron levels. Was you finishing work at the end of July? not long but long enough aye? Smiler Ive shed a few tears today but I am sooo tired its unbelievable. Our upstairs was like a sauna last night and to make matters worse I knocked my fan over the other night and it hasnt worked since Mad

Michie: Is it your week off this week or is it next? (dont say it was last wekk lol) Have you got any plans? According to pregnancy books, if you hold a toilet roll to your tum your children can listen to babys heart beat, you should let your ds have ago Big Grin I keep forgetting everything at the mo but the day I remember I will let my dc try Roll Eyes Big Grin 4 more sleeps until 4d scan....I better you cant wait Big Grin are any other family members going?? my mom and stepdad are coming along to ours.

Mandy: Still working hard Smiler hope your managing to enjoy some of the sun Cool Big Grin

Right off to chase lil ones round the garden before it rains xx

Hey Jo - forgot to say, save your money on the beeswax stuff, you get the same effect from putting a bit of Vaseline just inside your nostrils! Sounds gross but it does work (mind you when the pollen count's this high and it's also windy, nothing blumming works!

Hi to the rest of you - can't believe how far along you all are!!

hi girls!!

jo...sezzy's right,i heard that if you put some vaseline under your nostrils, it catches the pollen, also, put a coat on your eyelashes Big Grin
Yep, I am finding out the sex...hopefully!! 3 sleeps left!!!Eeker My week off starts today Big Grin I have just lazed about so far, but ill do the housework after lunch Big Grin Then if its nice out I will bring the dogs and ds for a walk.

Petal...is your rash itchy?? I think i have a dot of a stretchmark starting Eeker I got some on ds, but they faded to a silver colour, and they are hardly noticeable, so I dont mind. I hope your workload eases off Frowner
