How goes it? Am off in to work later, so best get myself in gear! I hate going back after the hols!!! (I sound like a petulant child!!)

Jo - hope you're feeling better this morning? Here are some hugs from me (((((((( ))))))))
I go up and down too - I was SO moody with poor DH last night! Hope you enjoyed your anniversary, in the end?

Also, I know I worry about everything, but am a bit worried as I only feel little movements once a day or so - and sometimes I'm not even sure what/if I am feeling!! (except for the "kick" day!!) Is that normal?!

How is it going, Michie, Mandy and Triza?

morning yummy mummies!!!
im getting a bit uncomfortable at night now, my belly is in the way i might need one of those cushions or between the legs. Other than that I feel brilliant!!
Petal!!!!!! yay for the kicks!!!! I looked up my ds's babybook, and i was 19 weeks when i felt big kicks,, and I never noticed flutterings before that, but this time I definitely feel the flutterings!!! It only started this week really, so Im hoping for the kicks in a few weeks Yay to all the maternity clothes!!! I must try topshop, I never thought of there.
Jo....I hope your mood has lifted hunny??? i find the only thing to get rid of a foul mood is sleep Yay to ur ticker moving on!!!!
Have you both got scans on the same day?!?! Also, another yay for u getting to go to the hosp near you for birth!!!! My hosp is 5 mins drive away so thats dead handy I was going to find out the sex, but i dont know now, im a bit indecisive too!!! I'll see on the day.
Mandy...how did ur scan go missus, ur keeping us in suspense!!!!

Morning everyone,

Well my scan went really well I can't get over how much it had grown in 3 weeks. Cant post a pic as have no scanner. but all is measuring as it should be. The woman said the only downside was that my placenta was in the front and the 20 week scan my not be as clear as it could due to placenta and there's a bit of me. so we'll see what happened.

Petal don't worry about not getting many movements yet. as its quite early. The midwives ask you to start counting 10 kicks aday from 28 weeks. Also when you're busy sometimes, they don't always kick much until your resting.

Jo I get very hormonal at times. My poor hubby really gets its sometimes. Useually over nothing.

Michie, yay to your scan next week. the weeks are flying.

I had to write in to work to say when I was thinking of taking mat leave from, so said it would probably be, from 29/30 weeks, which is from 2oth july. It really isn't far away.

I'm not finding out sex. just a suprise.

Im happy to say im feeling much better today and thankyou all for hugs and kind comments . I had a quick shower and very early night last night and its worked a treat

Thanks for answering my question on whether you will be finding out the sex of baby. Ive decided to wait until he/she is born. My dd thinks this is very unfair as she feels she will be the last to know bless her so ive assured her as soon as we find out daddy will ring her straight away even if it means leaving me on my own for 10mins after the birth It would be nice if baby arrived at a reasonable hour so dc could come straight there lol

Michie: lol at bump getting in the way at night the amount of times I keep waking up to get comftable at the mo is ridiculous. I am definatly investing in a support pillow

Petal: Baby is probably moving alot more than you are feeling because you may be busy and on the move alot so dont worry too much. It wont be much longer till you feel slightly stronger and more regular movements

Mandy: Glad to hear your scan went well and all continues to be well with yourself and baby. I agree the weeks are flying by....im 18wks today!!!

Ive also recently found out the lady whos children I look after is 14weeks pregnant so another lady to invite to aquanatal

BUMP! BUMP! BUMP!!

I couldn't get on yesterday and had to get my magnifying glass out to find our thread it was so far down the list!!

How are you? Work was fine, but tiring - and I had to sit on hard chairs in meetings for hours, which was pretty hard on my back. This term is quite short - about 11 weeks of work left for me!!

What are you all up to over the weekend? It's lovely and sunny here, but I have LOADS of jobs/school work to do - so I better get on!

I'm 18 weeks today - hooray!! And my ticker has moved on!! We're nearly half way there now, Jo!!!

How are the bumps coming on, girls? Mine seems to have had a growth spurt this week - and for the first time, people are saying, "Oh, I can see you're preg now!" (I have always thought it was huge- but I suppose you notice changes more on yourself!) Am still quite compact and low, but it's def getting there!! I can still hide it, though!!

I am going to an NCT nearly new sale tomorrow to see what I can see - anyone been to one before?

Anyone else got dry skin? The skin on my legs and knees is v dry and sensitive (and the skin on my boobs is dry too!! )

PS Baby has been moving loads!! Nothing as "defined" as the 2 kicks I felt on Monday, but loads of flutterings, bubbles etc!! I LOVE IT!!!

Have i mentioned, I am a bit excited!!!

I think I read that 59 people have joined so far :O i posted scan pics and bump pics, and its password protected, kate gives out the password to people on here that we know, or new people who have been on for a certain amount of time with no trouble. Hope to see you there!!!!

Petal...happy 18 weeks!! woo hoo to all the movements!!! i have flutterings, but they are rare. Im looking forward to my scan on monday yay!!!

Mandy....yay to ur scan!!! u are getting ur maternity leave at 29/30 weeks?!?! :O im not getting mine untill 38 weeks but i get 6 months off so its not to bad.

Jo...ooooh, i have to watch the baby programs!! even dp wants to, bless him!!!

Hi michie, and everyone else.

Yes. Thought 29/30 weeks was a good time to finish. when I had elanor in 2003 I didn't finish till 36 weeks. It was a reall struggle to get out of bed in a morning as I had to be on duty for 7.30 and was working 30 mins from home and sometimes there would be lates from the night before. so didn't get home till after 10. I ended up having a few funny turns. I didnt go back to work after having elanor either, only went back in april last year. I worked out that it would be the start of the school summer holidays when I start my leave. so least we can go off and I wont be tied to working.

Hi guys,

Well, it's pouring here, after a lovely sunny day - feels quite cosy, actually. I love the sound of the rain when you're cosy inside.

Michie - have joined the other site! Will try and post some scan pics when DH can help me!! (he is on nights this week) Have you put some on? Any more flickers?


Jo - how's your weekend going? I am jealous you guys can see the baby progs - I don't have H&H! Lucky in a way, as I'd spend all day watching them!!
Oh - yes, it's weird - we are 2 days apart on our tickers, but 1 on our due dates - not quite sure how that works?! I was told 13 Sept by midwife after 12 week scan - and the doc later that week at the nuchal agreed with her dates, so I am puzzled!! Anyway - we're v close!! Were you others late or early?

Mandy - I will be off work from 29/30 weeks too! I am quite lucky that time coincides with the start of the summer hols - and I get paid full salary through the hols - and my maternity leave proper will start first week of Sept in terms of pay.

Triza - how are you?

OK - having a pampering eve this eve when DH is at work - a long bath, a face mask, hair conditioning treatment, hot choc and a good book before an early night - heaven!!

Hope you're all well - just a quickie, but I had to tell you about the bargains I got from the NCT Nearly New Sale today!

I got:
1 maternity cardi
5 muslin squares
2 white cellular blankets
A Humphrey's Corner Gro bag
2 wraparound blankets from Baby Gap (cotton)
2 hooded towels from Mothercare (one like a frog! - so cute!)
A prenatal heart listener
9 socket covers
2 maternity wedge pillows from Mothercare(which I really needed)
15 short sleeved vests/suits (M&S/Gap etc)
2 long sleeved sleepsuits
and 2 hats

ALL for £15!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All really good quality - I am so happy!! I have washed everything and it looks SO cute hanging up around the house!
