hi Jo Petal and Mandy!!!

ive been busy cleaning like a mad woman these past few days!!
Today was pretty warm and humid, and made me feel unwell. I hate humid weather
Other than that I'm doing great! bought more aternity clothes today they are a little bit big, but ill grow into them. I got some stuff in new look and some in dorothy perkins. I havent seen a nice range anywhere else yet.
Have any of you bought much maternity wear yet?
Jo...im getting my scan at 24 weeks i think, she said its beacuse they have more fat on their face for it then, and they look more like what they will look like when they are born
Petal...im definitely going to look into aquanatel classes, they sound fun
mandy...ur scan is in 6 days isnt it?! woo hoo!!!

Afternoon,

I had some great news yesterday a close family member is pregnant the same time as me yayyyyy so i'll have someone to drag to aquanatal with me . Also got to see my baby cousin he is tiny only 6lb3oz. I couldnt get over how tiny he was very overwhelmed.

Well managed to get yet more bargins.......TJ Hughes are getting rid of all there baby items so I stocked up on all baby bedding. All 2pk sheets for moses baskets reduced to £2 and 2pk cot/cotbed sheets reduced from £10 to £3. brought some more blankets aswell for just £3!!! and changing mat nice purple one (thats our colour theme) for just £3.

Im not sure if there is a store near where you ladies live but I definatly think its worth popping into one as they are getting rid of all baby items

Michie: Great to hear your doing well and buying maternity clothes . I still havent found any I like so at the moment im refusing to waste money on items i'll never wear again so my buys at the moment are from primark. Ive just brought some lovely tops from there that are free flowing and have plenty of room for growing bump. Also they are selling nighties and p.js from £3 with front opening buttons so ive stocked up on those aswell

Mandy: Hope you are starting to feel abit better

Hi ive just joined today, im ten weeks pregnant and nervous as i misscarried last june 07 at ten weeks pregnant, and had to have a D&C.
due on the 31st oct.

Jo...i agree with not buying maternity clothes for the sake of it!i think i just got lucky with 3 outfits....theres nothing else out there that i like. ill keep looking though :P im ok for tops, its trousers that i need lol!!

Hi everyone.

Here's to growing bumps. mine is really taken off. and keeping thinking I'm feeling some movements. but its just wishfull thinking.

I've not had any queezyness for the past 3 days, so hopefully its gone. I feel pretty good, but tired from working. I've, started buying baby clothes. Baby grows and vests. I've got nothing left as gave everything away, as you do.

Got my scan on tuesday so really looking forward to that.

Jolly jo, your midwife apptment sounded horrendous. hopefully mine will be better in two weeks time.

Michie, sorry you were feeling ill in the heat. I'me hoping we don't have a really hot summer as I hate the heat.

Im feeling very nervous this morning as ive got to see the consultant in an hour. Ive been blitzing since 7:45am and now im feeling wobbly, not because ive got to see someone because ive got to go to hospital and they make me nervous every time .

Triza: Welcome to the thread. Im sorry to read about your earlier miscarridge and hope you and beanie are well over the continuing months . I also hope you will feel comftable asking any questions and sharing your symptoms with us

Im sorry, I have just had a quick read over posts but my mind has gone blank again blinkin nerves!!!! I think im probably best coming back on abit later when im abit more with it

Good afternoon ladies

I hope everyone is feeling well and energy levels are returning.

Mandy: How are you today? and how did your scan go?? I hope all is well im sure what youve been feeling is baby as ive only recently started feeling the flutterings aswell, trying to convince myself I was about to (whispers) trump heehee but I have had the same flutterings a few times now so ive convinced myself its definatly baby

Michie: Yayyy for your upcoming scan I bet you cant wait. Mine isnt until 2nd may which seems like ages away but this year is already going sooo fast I know it'll soon be here When is your 4d scan? We havent booked ours yet but must do it!

Petal: How are you matey? Have you had a good few stress free days? I hope so because as is always the case whenever you retun to work after a nice break its as if youve never been away talking from experience .
Have you another scan coming up?

Triza: How are you feeling? Has the sickness left you yet? Hope to chat soon

Abit about my appointment.......

It was for 10:50am but I didnt get seen until 12:20pm and then surprise surprise I was in and out grrrr. I have never seen a maternity unit sooooo full. The end result was good as the consultant said providing I dont have to have steroid tablets through summer for asthma I will be able to have baby at my local hospital which is about 15mins away . as soon as I heard that I forgot about how long we'd been kept waiting lol.

Im very indecisive at the moment about whether to find out the sex of this one and ive probably already asked you ladies before, but......do you know if you'll be finding out the sex???????? Dp doesnt want to find out but dc do and I just dont know!!

Has anyone any more symptoms???

Ive started the whole waking up in the night and needing the blinking loo again grrr. Ive completly gone off cheese on toast but back on the cups of tea. I cant get enough of raisins and malt loaf at the mo ummmmm and I get a back massage on demand heehee

Just remembered, Michie you asked what blitzing is......its just my way of saying cleaning like a mad woman from top to bottom lol

I'm back!! Had a great, relaxing hol! Lovely few days in London, seeing friends and family - and then a blissfully stressfree break in Cornwall - perfect! Also, celebrated my wedding anniv last night - so all is good!

How are you guys?

Triza - welcome! How lovely to have a new member to add to our little group! I also lost a baby, so know how awful it is - but these are totally new pregnancy experiences - and hopefully really good ones!! How have you been feeling so far?

Michie - how are you? I have now got lots of maternity clothes, thanks to my mummy and sister, who spoilt me rotten when I was in London! Mum bought me a lovely black linen dress from Jojo Maman Bebe and a swimsuit and nightie from Mothercare. My sis bought me a vest from Top Shop maternity - and I spent my Christmas/birthday vouchers on loads of stuff from Top Shop Maternity - their stuff is so nice and not that expensive - plus, it's the kind of stuff you'd want to wear even if you weren't preg. Then we popped into the big Gap and they had a great maternity section and I got 4 long sleeve cotton tops - 2 for £2.99 and 2 for £4.99!!! Mum also bought the baby some cute sleepsuits. I have got 2 pairs jeans and 4 pairs trousers now,- all in the sales (M&S, Pumpkin Patch, Gap and Ebay!!) I also have a pair of linen trousers from Dorothy Perkins! And 2 jumpers and lots of tops!! Think I'm done now!!!! But I did need the trousers for work...
Also, in Cornwall, my Dad bought the baby the cutest handknitted rattle - adorable!!

Jo - great news another fanily member is preg! No excuse not to go to aquanatal now!!! Mine is tonight - and I shall wear my new swimsuit!! I got bump envy last time, as I had the tiniest bump!! How is yours? Yeah to feeling the baby fluttering!! Oh - my scan is 2nd May too!!! Can't wait!!! Oh - and I don't think we're finding out the sex..

Mandy - glad to hear you're feeling a bit better now. How did your scan go yest?

And, my most exciting news - I have def felt the baby move!! I had been having a few flutterings, but on Monday night I felt 2 "kicks"- both kind of bubbled up in the same place less than a minute apart - unlike anything I have ever felt before!! It was amazing!! I was so excited I jumped out of bed to tell everyone!!

Right - enough waffle from me - I'll give your ears/eyes a rest and get on with the washing!!

Petal: Great to read a post from you and brill that you've had a great time. Wow on the maternity clothes, you've done really well there. I wish we had a topshop maternity store. Congratulations on your wedding anniversary I met my partner on the 9th April 1996 so its kind of our anniversary today aswell (not that he blinkin remembers lol).
Its good to hear you are also feeling baby move . I sometimes feel like a soft jab in the same spot but it still doesnt seem real some how, very reassuring though
Fancy having the scan on the same day! Have you had your due date comfirmed as the 13th?
