Hi Jack

I know exactly how you feel. I have two boys and am expecting twins, whilst I would love two girls or even one of each, I keep having dreams that I am having two boys. I am having my detailed scan today, an am hoping to find out the sex, if they are both boys, then I feel I need time to get my head around it.

On the positive side for you, you won't need an extra bedroom later on for a wee girl.

I have got two older brothers, and don't have such a close relationship with them as they have with each other. Being the only girl I always felt left out.

I'm sure when your wee one arrives, you will be so elated that his sex won't even matter, and he will slot into your family just nicely.

I wish you well with your pregnancy and after, although I do understand how you feel.

When are you due? Why not join the thread for that month, as all the ladies are very nice and supportive.

Take care

Annie

Hi Jack
Hi am pregnant with number 4 too!!! But I have 3 girls and really really don't want a boy. I am being kept awake at the moment by the thought of having a boy I really want a girl to make my family complete. Have 2 more weeks to go until my scan and I really want to know so I can get my head round it like Annie.
I think your really lucky having all the same sex and hope I get that too. But I know we will love our babies whatever!

Hi
I'm nearly 8weeks with my third baby but it will be no.5 in family as we each had 2 boys when we got together and all the children live with us fulltime. I will love this baby no matter what but would REALLY love a girl!!! Whatever I will try to find out when I have my scan. I'll let u know how I get on-does anyone else feel guilty for wanting a girl -I don't want to feel disapointed!

Hi all

Its nice to know that I'm not alone in the way that I feel - and I too feel guilty about having wanted a girl.

I am due on the 1st June and know that I will love him when he arrives, but it is very difficult getting used to the fact that I will probably never have the girl I wanted.

Would love to know the results of your scans - the waiting was terrible for me too!

Hope everything goes well with your pregnancies.
Jack

Hi Jack & everyone!
Please don't get you're hopes up by this.....I had a scan with my 3rd child and was told I was expecting another boy (first 2 were boys as well). Well how shocked was I when I gave birth to a bouncing baby girl! (now 3)

I wish you all the luck in the world with you're preg's.

I had my 20 week scan today and was told it is another boy (I already have 2) and I am feeling really disappointed. Don't want to say anything to DH, don't want to feel this way. I am sure I will feel better tomorrow but just felt like telling someone.

Hi
I am just jumping in from the July thread. I have got a little boy and I can honestly say I am not bothered what I have next. I do sympathise with those of you who were hoping for girls because although I would love another boy, I will really miss the girl / mum relationship that I have with my mum. I don't think we will be having any more as we can't afford to so if I do have a boy, I will love him to bits and pray that I get on with my daughters in law! I am not going to ask at my 20 week scan because I really want to enjoy the rest of my pregnancy and look forward to the surprise.
Good luck everyone. Don't feel guilty about wanting a girl, I am sure that as soon as you have your little boys, you will love them to pieces and forget about how you are feeling now.

Hi JayJay

I hope you don't feel too bad - I find it difficult to talk to my DH about it too so don't worry.

I can say though that the disappointment does get less with time - although I haven't been clothes shopping yet as all the pink is too much to cope with!!! I know we will love them like our other boys when they arrive - but I do feel very outnumbered.

Jack

Jack

I do know exactly what you mean about being out numbered but seeing how happy my 6yo is to have a little brother has made me feel better about it. I have been shopping today just to buy one little outfit, I decided that it was a good idea to make myself as it made it more real.

My eldest whos 8 wanted a sister this time (I think hes fed up of the other 2 fighting with him!!) but my 3 year old was very happy that it was a boy - so I know what you mean.

I think I am going to go with green baby clothes this time as I have so much blue already!!!!

Chele, I think you hit the nail on the head there. Im due to have my second son in 2 weeks and my husband doesn't really want anymore children. I was happy at the scan when they said it was another boy, but at the same time sad that I might not get that mother/daughter relationship that I love so much with my mum.

I'm really excited about my little boy arriving now though, and it will be lovely for my 2 yr old to have a brother to grow up with.

My son is 5 and he wanted another sister then changed his mind. My daughter is 2 and wanted a sister aswell and she was a bit upset when I told her its a boy. But now I have got my head roubd it all and we have given him a name, think we are all happy.. He will be here is 6 and half weeks so looking forward to his arrival now. I know how you feel but you will love him when he comes, you'll see.
