Did it take you long for your body to back to normal after the mirena coil was removed?

I have only just took my period on the 12th sept, it's the first in 3 years but I don't know if my body is back to normal now of if it's a waiting game!! Any advice?

Hi there i am new here but just wanted to say that my friend had an ectopic and lost a tube was told to wait 6 months before trying again, but threw caution to the wind and got pregnant the next month, she now has a lovely, healthy 9 month old daughter!
so there is still very high chance of getting pg after ectopic, i read somewhere that it shouldn't affect your chances, and my friend was also told the same.

No it didnt take long, a few months, had it out feb was pregnant by april, i had the mirena for 2 years and it stopped my periods, i had no real side effects with it and i think i was lucky as some people it really effects badly.

my name is Amanda & I was on the Mirena IUD for 3 months. I had a baby on 05/06/07 and I got my IUD in at 7 weeks post-partom (around the end of June) and I just got it removed on Friday September 28th. I think I got my period for 1 day, on Saturday September 29th. I want to note that I still got my period while using the IUD plus I had spotting about almost every day while on the mirena IUD.

what are my odds of getting pregnat this month? Also would you concider bleeding one day is conciderd a period or just the result of getting the IUD removed?

Scooby..no prior to having my son i was onthe ortho tri cyclen low for 5 months. once i stopped taking those pills it took exactly 9 months before i got pregnant with my son. after his delivery i got the mirena(aug06) then had it removed sept(06). i started my period sept 8th-13th was normal..now i am currently awaiting my next period...better im currently hoping we are pregnant..lol..

It's lovely to hear from you again.
As you know I got the mirena coil out on Aug 8th, ive been fortunate to have regular period straight away and I have been using ovulation test's and on both month's I have had a positive reading's BUT still no pregnancy. Im due my period on Oct 14th so here's hoping.How are you keeping and how is everything going for you. Hope you get a pregnancy this month and keep in touch

Hopes this helps you, I got my mirena removed on Aug 8th after 3years but I hadn't any period during this time and on the 15th&16th I spotted. I asked my Doctor if this was a period and she said it was and that their could be no reason why I couldn't get pregnant that month if I ovulated which I did but I have only one tube so maybe this month. just tought I would give a bit of news as of where i am in the TTC after mirena. Well like i said before i remnoved on sept 6th and bles lightly 3 days after.

Since then nothing. Last tursday i started to experience sympotms... breast pain, nausea, sensitivity to smell, i feel bloated...

I tested but negative... I am wondering can upcoming perids cause those symptooms?

I cant wait for soemthing to happen...periods or a plus sign but something!!!

Hello, I am new here and I fell on this forum while searching for information on Dong Quai. I would like to know about the side effects of this medication and its effectiveness. Would you recommend it to someone else??

as you know my mirena was removed september 6th after having it for a year. i had a period on the 8th till the 12th. was actually really normal. now here i am in october 15th with no period yet. now for about a week i have cramped off and on..im nauseas all the time. nothing i eat helps it i have been dizzy and lightheaded off and on as well. now since it took so long for us to get pregnant before i am to nervous to go take a test. i keep thinking ill waste the money on a test just to have a period the next day. thanks for emailing me back. im not on here often but if you like email me at sacciemama@yahoo.com i check it more often. i wish you the best. hope a baby comes for us both soon!!! take care

This is to scooby and to any other women out there trying to conceive after the mirena. i had the mirena for 13 months.i had no problems with it i completely loved it. but me and my husband decided to try for one last child. in hopes of a baby girl. and we got it removed septermber 6th 2007. i started my period september 8th till the 13th. Today is may 17 2007 and i found out with a home pregnancy test yesterday that i am pregnant!!! YAY thank you lord!! i even took another test today(10 min ago) cause i am in such shock!! i see my doctor on october 31st and ill get to hear the heartbeat!! hi girls.i just wanted to ask did yoy bleed after having the coil removed?i had it removed on the 17th this month,and today(19th) i started bleeding.so could this be my period or could it be just from having sex,or from the removal?im having period type of pains aswell?
i red on this forum that other girls got pregnant the same day after having it removed.so i wonder if i started bleeding could i still concieve?sorry if it sounds silly.we are ttc for nr3.i have a boy(2yrs2mths) and a girl (10mnths).

I just got my mirena removed a week and a half ago. My doctor said i could get pregnant straight away.i had my period a week before getting it out (17th oct) i had light periods right through the 3 years I had the mirena, but my cycles were longer, 36 days sometimes!!! im wondering does dat mean i ovulate later dan others aswell?(im new, i dont know the abbreviations yet ) So, i got last period 17th oct, got mirena removed on 26th oct, had period like cramps yesterday 4th nov for 20 mins. Im hoping it was ovulation, but its day 19 of my cycle, so maybe implantation??? i wish i knew wot was going on in there

i had mirena fitted in april(07) and on november 2nd (07) it decided it didnt want to be there no more!
i had implant for nearly 2 years but it caused me to get ovarian cysts and i had to have an ovary removed.
now, after coil fell out on friday i started bleeding heavy clots on sunday. docs have diagnosed me with pelvic infection and say thats probably why coil came out.apparently this can cause infertility as well
im still bleeding but not as bad since i started my anti biotics.
doctors have given me no contraception (saying that, the fact i feel fat and ugly is a great one cos i wont let man near me!) but i was just wondering if this would count as period (had reg periods on mirena and last one was 16th-21st october)
how soon could i get preg? ive only been with partner 3 months and although he wants a baby and so do i im worried its a bit soon if it happens now!
please help from a confused mum of 5 and step mum of 4!
