I am 5 weeks and 2 days pregnant (5 weeks and 2 days since my Last period). This is my second pregnancy, my first was tubal and thus failed.
For the last 2-3 days I have had dull aching period-like pain in my lower tummy and lower back. Last night it was quite intense so we went to the doctors. I would say that the discomfort was 5/10. Doctor said is happy with how my hcg hormone level has been rising and is not too worried because I havent had any spotting or bleeding. I know that it is typical of early pregnancy to get little niggles here and there and wondered if this may be "implantation pain". Last night it was intense for 30 minutes then eased off. It has been mild since then, you know it definitely feels like something is going on down there. Has anyone else felt like this or knows of this experience?
My husband and I are so excited about having a child so I would really appreciate your help.
Sorry to hear about yr first pregnancy hun. i had quite severe back ache until i was around 8 wks pregnant and intermittant cramping til around 11 wks. i was concerned about the cramping too as i never usually get period cramps only back ache but my gp seemed to think it was pretty normal.
I know its hard when you've had problems in the past but try to relax hun, i'm sure everything will turn out fine.

I had really really bad lower tummy and back pain at the beginning of this pregnancy.. I was freaked out because with my first I didn't ahve any of that... my doc just kept telling me that it was normal.. mostly round ligament pain and pressure on the back from inside.. if things are a fraction of a cm in a funny place it can give alot of back ache. Sooo try not to worry! I know that's easier said than done, but Im sure it'll be fine! I'm sorry to hear about your first pregnancy.. that must be making things all the more stressful this time round. Good luck to you!!! xxx
