Hi all. I am 17 weeks pregnant tomorrow and am sometimes having trouble that I am still really pregnant. I don't get my first scan until 20 weeks although hearing the heartbeat did set my mind at ease a bit. I think I am shwoing a little bit but everyone else says they can't see it - not what I want to hear!! It lloks more like I just have a pot belly, not really a 'pregnant shape' if you know what I mean!! Also, should I be feeling those early fluttery movements yet? I can't remember what mw said about those. Please set my mind at rest and tell me i am normal!!!! Abbylou

HI there well it sounds sooooooooooooooo normal to me.I have 2 little boys and another baby due on 23 rd oct. With my first pregnancy i got really big very quickly but i didnt feel Dylan move till about 18/19 weeks. With my son Tyler i never looked pregnant i was so tiny but i felt him move at about 15 weeks. This time im tiny again and felt this baby at about 14 weeks. It is different for everybody.I always worried and felt better after the scan but you heard the heart beat so dont worry.Every bodys size is different good for you if you still look small thats great you proberly wont get any stretchmarks!!!!!!It wont be long till you feel that first kick trust me and when you do it wont stop ALL NIGHT!! you might of even felt flutter movements but just not noticed what they are as they can be mistaken for wind etc.Try not to worry and if you do still feel concerned go back and see your midwife or doctor and ask them to feel your tummy and listen to the heart beat again.Theres always something to worry about when i went to first hear this babys heart beat the midwife couldnt find it i was so scared but luckily she found it he was just lying in an awkward position.Take care and good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.xx

Yes you are normal, from what I can remember I didn't start feeling my baby move until i was in my 20 weeks and then once she started talk about movement, it was quite often shall we say, even now she still moves more or less th same time every night!!!!!!
I wouldn't worry about not showing as before you know you won't be able to hide it, I am 39 weeks pregnant on Wednesday and at the beginning - middle of my prengnancy it used to bother me that I didn't really look pregnant then between 32-36 weeks I felt like a beached whale, it upset me a little when people told me how big I was getting, but now people are saying they thought I'd be bigger by now, so it's strange how things work out.
Hope this helps puts your mind at rest !!!!
