Hello, I'm new to the site too. I'm currently 30 weeks pregnant and its my first! Very excited but a little nervous too as i don't know what to expect. My husband and i have been wanted a baby for a while now so you can imagine how thrilled we were when we found out we were expecting. Hows your pregnancy going?

Hello I am a new member also. I am currently 24 weeks pregnant with my second child - already have a daughter of 7 years. I have had many problems in pregnancy over the last couple of years including several miscarriages - both spontaneous and missed abortion and in February this year I had a stillborn baby at 8 months. Optmistic this time though as all seems toi be going well. Are there any other people who have been through similar problems?

Hi 2 all, Im also new to this site. I can sympathise with Vicky, I shall be 30weeks on Sunday. This is my 5th pregnancy. My 1st son died aged 4months, My second pregnancy resulted in a daughter, aged 6 and 3/4 (she's quite insistent that we add the 3/4), Then i had 2 miscarriages, so it's 5th time lucky. I'm extremely nervous but thankfully I have a very supportive doctor. As I'm having an elective caesarian I'm hoping that I can have it on the 15th December. Two days before my daughters 7th birthday. P.S. We've found out that we're having a boy. I look forward to reading about everybody else

Hello I am also new to the web site I am 35 weeks pregnant with my second baby, do not know the sex of the baby yet. I have already got a little boy who is five (nearly six) and have found this pregnancy completely different from the first, having had numerous problems already. I am extremely hormonal and feel fat and fed up - I am sure that I am not alone in this, and am looking forward to the end - and the beginning of the sleepless nights / dirty nappies etc.

I miscarried in April 2002, and this pregnancy has had lots of bleeding, but baby has been find throughout, oblivious to me worrying and feeling ill! I am due 17 Feb, which is our 3rd wedding anniversary, but due to a back injury (car accident in 1994) I will be having an elective c-section early Feb. I am already is a huge amount of back pain, can't work, can't do housework and spend most of my day resting .. it's along pregnancy for me! Bought the pram/car seat sysetm yesterday and got most of the clothes for Luke - I am so pleased we know his sex and can shop! Bye for now Lisa

Blondie I am due 3rd February and because of the problems that my stillborn baby boy had I was refered to Birmingham specialist hopsital for a detailed scan at which I found out that I am having another boy. This one seems to healthy though in every way and hopefully will live to term. The good side is that i will have 10 scans in total so get to see lots of the baby. My next one is on Thursday. I have the choice to be induced early from January 17th as psychologically the last weeks will be the most worrying but I am completely opposed to intervention and want a totally natural labour. With my daughter and when I delivered my stillborn in February I had no pain relief as I am so for natural processes - so I face a dilemma.

Hi Vicky After reading your comments i felt i had to respond. I'm thrilled your having a baby boy and hope your pregnancy is going well. I wanted to write back to you after reading about your stillborn baby. My sister-in-law first was stillborn and we all thought the world had ended. It must have been terrible for you as i know how painful it was for her and her husband. I'm currently 31 weeks pregnant and I'm starting to understand more and more the pain she must have gone through. I wish you all the very best with your pregnancy and please keep us all posted on how you are getting on.

Well I have been for a scan today - the baby is fine but they suspect that I have diabetes. My mother is insulin diabetic and I am about 4 stone overweight ( I am 5ft10" and a size 20 ). Also my daughter weighed over 9lbs so all the indications are that I may have diabetes either permantly or pregnancy diabetes. Glucose has shown up in urine sample on the last two tests. Has anyone else experienced this and what will I face if I am.The thought of xmas with no chocolate and booze is daunting also is there any effect on the baby? Have the GTT test on Monday and results on Friday.
