Hi all
not sure if this one has been done but i thought id start it off,

although this baby will be number 3 for us i was wondering if anyone had any favourite baby bottles they use,
there are loads of different ones out there i was just interested to know if anyone found some better to use than others.

hi jess

i BF my first but also used bottles for expressed milk and after i stopped BF at 6 months. My choice was avent i'd really recomend them they're great.

i like the look of the tommee tippie back to nature ones too but my sil used them and says the teats are too soft and often turn inside out into the bottle which is annoying..

hi kaly

yeah i remember using the avent ones with my first daughter and found them useful and fit into the sterilizer nicely, the ones i used had quite hard teats on them, thats why i didnt use them for second daughter, but will have a look if they have any with softer teats.

I have a six week old baby girl and I'm using Avent, there great, had no problems and my baby gets on great with them.

We got a set, which included everything we needed for bottle feeding - all the teats, bottles, bottle warmer and a therma bag, and the steam steriliser! It cost £129.99 from toys r us and mothercare, here is the one from toys r us http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Product.aspx/BruHome/BruFeedin...uFeedingAvent/305731

I would reccomend it to anyone, we havent had to buy anything else for it, it seems really good value for money. It also says on the box it is supposed to help prevent colic.

I looked at the tommee tippee back to nature and the teat seemed to soft, so deceided on avent.

I used the Tommee Tippee ones for my son. I think the teat is designed to go in like that on purpose as it simulates what happens when a baby feeds from the breast. So if you're planning to express as well as bottle feed (which is what I did) I'd recommend these ones.

Can't fault the bottles to be honest!

Hi laura

ive seen those packs before, my sil had the sterilizer but couldnt get on with it, is it easy to use? do 6 bottles fit in there?
the bottle warmers are my favourite i had them with both my girls and i dont know how i would have got on without them, i remember them taking ages to warm up the baby jars but the bottles it took no time at all.

Sorry Emma must have cross posted with you,
to be honest i havent really seen the tommee tippee ones i will have a look at them though, most people have raved about them, i will probably get a mixture of bottles and see which is the best.

Just been looking at the advent ones on google, they are much cheaper now than they were when i first used them,
are the teats easy to find if you need to replace them?

OMG we tried about 6 or 7 differnt kinds of bottle to find one that would help Jake's colic. We eventually settled on MAM though and still love them now. They come completely to pieces (even the bottom comes off) so you can make sure they are really clean and they really helped his colic.
