Hello, i'm 21. I am on the pregesterone only pill (mini pill) so i dont have monthly periods. a couple of weeks (roughly) ago I had a point where i missed a couple of pills i carried on taking them and i assumed i was covered again when i'd had 5 pills.
I then had intercourse for the first time in 5 months, which was about 2 weeks ago (after the 5 pills) i had light bleeding for 4 days after i had intercourse and i now feel extremly tired and my mood is up and down extremly. Could this be very early signs of pregnancy? Is there even a chance i could be pregnant? Obviously i cant take a test yet because it wouldnt pick anything up as i could only be 2 weeks at the most. And i cant measure anythig on periods as mentioned before.
Please help. Thanks

Hi Bonnie, I'm not sure how the mini pill works as i only ever used it for a couple of weeks years ago when i was BF but it did n't agreee with me, so i can offer advise on that really, but with testing you could test as when we do a pg test we are only really 2 weeks pg anyway, its just dated from last period as its easier to calculate because of uncerntainty of when ovulation occurs, so really, nobody can say if you are pg or not, yes the symptoms COULD be pg linked but they could be there because you are more aware of them. Only time and a test can tell you for sure, all the best, Emma. x
Bonnie - I was on the mini pill last year and I got PG while on it and I didn't even miss a pill - I just didn't take them at the right time of day. You should read the blurb that comes with it as it will tell you what to do if you miss one and how long before you are 'safe' again.
As Emma says - your symptoms could be early pregnancy ones or they could be symptoms of your period about to arrive. Best way to be sure is to take a test. You can take one 14 days after you have had intercourse.
Let us know how you get on - you don't indicate in your message whether you want to be PG or not??

i've used the mini pill in the past and i always thought that you were supposed to carry on with the pills as you did but also use another method of contraception for 7 days as well.
like billy and angel say, your symptoms could be early pg symptoms but also can be signs of your period coming - they're very similar so that makes everything all the more confusing!
you can take an early test such as clearblue as of now so to put your mind at ease maybe you could take one?
whatever the result is, i hope its the one you want.
good luck

ok, because i dont have a monthly cycle at all with this pill (one of the lucky ones) thats why I have been worried about these sysmptoms. But i wasnt sure if i took a pg test weather it would give a true result at this stage.
I didnt want to take the test, it come back negative and me carry on like i'm fine if really i was pregnant.
I know that the tests say so many days after your period is due and that is why i didnt know when i could do a test because i dont ever have a period that is due! lol
I think i will get a test and see, and if it is negative but the symptoms carry on i will do another one to be sure.
God the womans body can be such a complicated thing when it wants to be!! lol
ps the other thing that makes it worse is that my breasts are always tender from this pill and i have been feely slightly queezy but i'm on antibiotics at the moment so that could be causing the queeziness.
Thats why in my first post i focused on the feelings of exhuastion and the change of mood.
Hi Bonnie - Just noticed you said your on antibiotics - just wondering if you knew that they cancel out you pill (i think anyway) and whilst on antibiotics you should use other methods of contraception.
best thing to do is to take a test - if neg, wait a couple of weeks and do another just to be sure.
