Hi Katie, hope you are ok. Here's my story, hope it helps Smiler

I had a Mirena in for four years and had it removed in September. I'm 33. I had some spotting the next day which lasted about two days. I then held off TTC for a month till I got a 'proper' AF, which came on October 22nd and lasted till the 25th. On November 22nd I got my BFP!! Big Grin

I know i was incredibly lucky to fall pregnant straight away but I did help things along by BDing at the right times and keeping my legs in the air! Wink I also gave up alcohol and cigs (I only smoked socially when I was drinking anyway, so that bit was easy Smiler, ate a really healthy diet, exercised and went to yoga for a few months before TTC as I thought my stressed-out, unfit, bad diet lifestyle wouldn't help me conceive.

Anyway, hope this helps - and every good luck in the world to you Smiler

xx

Hi Katie Smiler
I am 41 and had my coil for 12 years (with all the correct changes). I had mine removed on 18 april, had a bleed a couple of days later which lasted for about 3 days. I had onother af on 13 May after a 23 day cycle. Now gonna bd every other day to see what happens. Hopefully nature will take its course and i'll get pregnant soon.
good luck to us both.

Hi Ariah &Sezzywelshy , and thankyou for your reply's. Sezzywelshy you really cheered me up thats great news . I have also posted on ttc after mirena coil started by torchwood, the ladies on there have been brill and really surportive which really helps . We did start ttc as soon as I finished spotting ( as my gp said that was fine ) but after speaking to one of the ladies on other thread we decided to wait untill my first real af was over and done . So we have been using a raincoat when bd ( hubby is not impressed but understands !! Anyway I think af is on it's way had strange tingling in my boobs backache from hell and a light head slightly aching head so I 'm expecting to start any day now. Not looking forward to it , been so long but i am in other ways cos I will know where I am with my body etc . Will keep you all informed many thanks Kate xxxxx
