There must be others out there like us! I have been lurking here for a while but getting brave enough to post now. Dr. figures I am due 02/01/06 but maybe a few days later I think as I was having longer (34 day) cycles. That was the problem actually - we did take a while to conceive but the timing was off as I was just ignorant about when I was fertile. When I got smart, it took no time at all!

Don't really have any increase in symptoms which feels worrisome - general unpleasant feeling in gut much of the day but not actually being sick, tender nipples but nothing else going on in that area, and not really much else. I don't even think I am that much more tired than usual.

Hi Eb

I am the opposite, full of symptoms, tiredness, cramping, back ache.I actually just feel like I am due on my period, and I cant help but worry either. I am getting a lot of lotion like cervial mucus aswell (sorry). I have a date now too as I went to the docs last night and she said im due on the 24/1/06.
Th doc said that I should just take it easy and explained that the first 8 weeks are the most high risk for miscarraige, which upset me no end. Im really weepy at the mo. Must be all the hormones wizzing around inside!

Come on there must be more people on here due in Jan???

Luv nic x

Okay I forgot to mention the cramps [xx(]
I find them a lot duller than regular period cramps of which mine are normally debilitating, but I still don't like them.
Oh and I have been constipated too! Which I think is also a cramping contributor. The cramps again make me paranoid though - what I am going to find when I go to the loo?? So far nothing, thankfully.
I'm getting married in August and now I have to rush and try to find a new wedding dress 'cause the one I bought cheap in the January sales that I was trying to lose weight to get into sure isn't going to fit now! No more dieting [Big Grin]

Hi Eb. Chinup, Marie

Hope you are all keeping well.

Im sorry to hear about the father Marie, If you want to chat Im on this forum almost eveyday now.

I too have had cramping everyday which like you said eb is really dull. But last night a had a little bit of browny pink discharge (sorry). It was only a teeny bit but now im panicking. Have you girls ever had this? im only on my 5th week and i know it very early days.

Hey chinup wonder if the little bambinos will arrive on the same day?? Im bloody moving in a couple of weeks so my life is pretty hectic at the moment. Last night DF literally had to vaccum round me im that shattered. Wont do him no harm!!!!!!!!

I just rang the midwife and she said that the brown/pink discharge is ok. phewwww!

Still a worry though.

has anyone had sickness yet??

Hi all, I am in my 8th week, due around 01/01/06, nice new years present! thats if I have my dates right Smiler

I have had cramps, back ache, gross discharge, now the sickness is kicking in big time, cant smell anything, makes me want to throw up.

I just cant wait until my scan, which I am going back to my dr a week on friday to get arranged, I just feel like I am waiting so anxiously. It is so worrying, I just want to have a scan, make sure there is a baby, and that everything is well, and then get on with the next 7 months.

Just want everything to be ok. [Big Grin]

Hope everyone is well, take care of yourselves

Joxxxx

Hi everyone!

I am 5 weeks pregnant and due on 14/01/06. We are very excited as we have been trying for a long time with no success. Actually I cant really believe that I am pregnant as I dont feel that different - does anyone else feel this way? I even took 2 pregnancy tests cos I didnt believe the first! So far the most obvious symptom has been the very sensitive boobs - so much so that Ive had to wear the softest bra I could find! I'm going to the doctors for my appointment next Wednesday - I am new to all of this so havent got a clue what happens next or anything!!! If anyone can offer some guidance that would be great!

Congratulations to all the other Mums to be...

Love Wend xx

Hi Wend and a big congrats to you! you seem soo excited, its great! This is my first too and am a bundle of nerves and expectation and anxiety, of not knowing! but I look forward to all of it! The sore boobs is weird, mine changed almost immediately, it was my first sign, and they were pretty big before and now they are just huge!!! I am sure we can all help and support each other on this fab journey.[Big Grin][Big Grin][Big Grin]

Yes Wend I was like you - DH-to-be made me take a second and third test as I was also going 'is this it?!' Am I really pregnant? Or is there some kind of weird hormonal thing going on that would explain the positive tests some other way?! But I had two weeks of feeling nothing much - and now I am really feeling crap. Was off work yesterday, meant to work from home but my brain was not working at all. This is all new to me too, my first, and no one really to share it with except on here so the support is very welcome!
Am waiting for the hospital to get in touch for this booking-in appointment stuff, no idea when the first scan or anything will be. My local is Northwick Park in north west London which had some bad press recently but apparently as it's on special measures it's a great time to go as there are the best maternity docs in the country there now! Plus if you have a ceasarean, you get to go to the Portland!

Glad to see we have more people joining us,

We can all support eachother through our baby journeys. My friend is 2 weeks over due and is actuall in labour NOW. she is 3 cm's dialated and is feeling no pain at all. can't wait! Feel like a lifetime off me being big and in labour.

Well I still have the cramping and the back ache. Hope it wont carry on for every, I have not energy whatsoever. Im quite lucky as i work for my father so i can do a very good impression of looking busy and just sitting at my desk wishing the pains away. I have had some more discharge today which is back to being white which I hope is agood sign. U cant help being a worrier.

Do we have a scan at 8 weeks or 12 weeks? Im new to all this and need as mouch advice as poss. I know a couple of you have already got children so you can be our agony aunts.

If the pains continue will the doctor send me for an early scan??

Hi ladies!

Hope you don't mind me dropping by.

Just want to congratulate everyone on your pregnancy!

Chinup, you and DH must be so happy! When is your scan? I'm sure everything will be okay. Let us know how it goes okay!

Cramps are normal as long as they're not severe and accompanied with bleeding. I had cramps from 4 weeks till around 7/8 weeks. It's just the uterus growing.

And don't worry if you don't have symptoms everyone else has, every pregnancy is different.

Nichola, depending on your area, scans are normally at 12 weeks and 20 weeks. The 12-week scan is the 'dating scan' - it confirms how far you are and your EDD. The 20-week scan is to see the development of the baby.

If there's anything you ladies want to ask, feel free to drop by the Nov thread[Big Grin]

Enjoy the pregnancy and good luck!
