I'm currently 38 weeks pregnant and going for a scan tomorrow because my m/w believes the baby is breach and a very big baby!!! Anyways I was told by the hospital to take my hospital bag with me . . and I just wondered if anyone has any advice on essentials to put in the bag!

I think she means that you might be kept in so have your stuff ready! the baby clothes, nappies etc. Also nightie for you, a clean towel, dressing gown, socks, slippers, loose change for the phone etc. tooth brush, tooth paste, maternity pads, breast pads and anything else you might need.

baby nappies and a few changes of clothes from him/her disposable and normal knikckers (someone mentioned with a C-section disposable r more difficult) LOADSA pads!! slippers and a gown. change of clothes for urslef and afew personal things...like deodrnats and lipstick (esp if ppl come to visit u !!) wipes and stuff not really needed as the midwives giv u cotton wool and water to clean lil one but keep a sneaky pack of wipes incase ur exhausted and baby poos at night ... its bad mummy skills...but hey my 2 yr old is fine [:I] umm..theres loads more....im sure other ladies ahve more advice...

Thanks for the help so far lol . . I'm just running round like a headless chicken . . still at work (last day tomorrow either way YAY!) and just seems like time has slipped away!
First baby after TTC for ages and ages so dont wanna get to the hossy and suddenly be like "oops I forgot everything" hehe
