I'm no expect on these things but I have always been told that the home pregnancy kits are often more accurate than the tests at the doctors. I have been told that the home kits can give a false negative but dont give a false positive result. My advice would be to go back to the doctors and get another opinion, at least then it will put you mind at ease and you can start preparing for the arrival!

well congratulations!!!!!! they should have offered you an internal scan early on wich will pick anuthing up! is this your first baby? i am also due in august but have 2 dates one is 12th august and the other 20th? had a scan yesterday and wanted to know the sex of the baby but they couldnt see very well so called another doctor to look and they disagreed with each other so decided not to tell us as they didnt really know. how can doctors get is so wrong these days? doesnt give you much faith in them then does it! good luck and keep in touch. vicky xxxxx p.s. i am also on msn messanger if you want to keep intouch.

Vicky I'm amazed at how in America they can tell the sex of the baby 100% yet over here they won't give you a definite answer. What is your e-mail address, would like to stay in touch!!!!! LisaR
