Thanks for the pma girls it really means alot to me.
Just did a pregnancy test and it is still positive and came up very quickly (under 30 seconds hardly any urine had to force it).
Couldn't wait until the test result came back from the doc tomorrow so i did one myself.
I know this doesn't mean everything is ok but it means that i'll get a scan asap for definate.
I'll let you know what happens at the doc tomorrow but at least i know the result of the test before she does to brace me.
I would have been very surprised if it had of been negative even if i had a 1 day miscarriage. (which i doubt)
But at least that is out of the way and i can get scanned!

Amy - Just wanted to send hugs and good luck for your appointment. I had bleeding with DS early on and had to go for a scan at the epu and they told me it was quite common. This time around I had light brown mucusy type stuff early on.

Hope to hear from you soon. Take care and stay strong xxxx

Well went to the doctor's she tried her best to get me in for a scan but they said that i am to early for a scan.
They will not consider a scan until at least 6 weeks and i am that on sat.
So they booked me in for a scan a week tomorrow so i'll be nearly 7 weeks then(hopefully).
Atleast i'll be able to see more and know for sure if things are ok or not.
If i went today they might not have picked much up and that would have worried me so at least i know this will be sorted by next friday.
I have got no idea what to expect.
Since mon when i had that one bleed(alot though) i have only had brown stuff which has now stopped altogether.
But my boobs have just started to hurt the last couple of days but i suppose that could be all the hormones still.
I'm absolutely terrified to have a scan cause i had 4 for the last pregnancy and none were good news.
1 to see that the heartbeat had gone, 2nd after medical management didn't work and it was still there,3rd after erpc which left retained products and 4th cause the tummy scan couldn't see enough.
So no wonder i am dreading the scan!
So anyway i'll guess i'll know in a week one way or the other.
So i'm going to go back to work tomorrow to take my mind off things and try and forget that i'm even pregnant.
Unless i have any more problems then they will see me sooner.
Fingers crossed. xxxxxxx

Hi Amy,
I just wanted to say, that when i went to the EPU last wk before my scan, the midwife asked me to do my sample for a test and said i'd have to wait a while as it processes it thru machine now, so its more accurate, i hadn't had no bleeding just lack of symptoms, so i knew it was gonna show +ve coz i'd done one the day before, i thought like you are thinking, well its going to show +ve coz hormones still there, but when mine came back and she said 'well you are still pg, so thats a good sign," i asked how she could tell just from a urine test, she told me that the hormone levels drop very quickly in early pg, and mine were still ok, must say tho i wasn't convinced and had to see for myself.. which the scan confirmed for me.

So even with your bleeding your +ve test looks good, so if the bleeing/disccharge has settled it may just have been implanting/fluctuating hormones?

Dont worry about it, and i'm sure just like pobs you will have a lovely little heartbeat when you go for your scan!
I know its easier to say when its not you thats going through it, but i know how bad it feels to have to wait when you are full of uncertainty..
i know its not the best advice but hope it helps a bit.

Amy love you really are suffering. Perhaps you're right to go back to work and try not to think about it. I still don't think this is the end of the road for you - a positive pg test is an excellent sign so hopefully all will go well for you next week. Try not to compare pregancies (hard I know) as this is a totally different situation to the one you had last time. Will be thinking of you this next week and willing you to stay strong hun x

Thanks for the replies girls.
I thought that i replied on here but i must have done it on another thread.
I had my scan at 7 weeks which confirmed a heartbeat and could also see where i bled from.
The lady said that i might get some more bleeding which i did that day so my not worrying was short lived.
Even though i knew it might happen it is still scary.
So i have just got back from the docs and i am going to do my booking in next week.
If i get any more bleeding then they will scan me again.
I'll be very surprised if i don't so if i brace myself a bit it won't be so much of a shock.
I am fully aware that if you will miscarry there is nothing you can do about it but i don't want a long drawn out miscarriage like last time which could have been sorted 4 weeks before i had my 12 week scan when the heartbeat went.
So i just have to try and be positive it's just a shame i can't enjoy this stage like some other people can.

Hello everyone...

I am approximately in my 9th week of pregnancy, i havent had any scans yet and have only had a booking in appointment with a midwife.

Yesterday, i started getting small specs of blood on my tissue where i have wiped myself.. slightly sticky yet there are only one or 2 specs of blood, im hoping it is nothing.. but i am worried about it .. its my first pregnancy as well.. should i call the midwife and ask for a scan?? Or just wait and see what happens..
been having some aches and pains.. but nothing excessive..

I really dont want anything to go wrong.. any advice???

SSSB - Hi

Im now in my 16th week, and at about 7 weeks i had a little bit of spotting when i wiped, went for a scan and everything was fine. I then got more around 9 weeks, then quite alot of bright red blood with clots (sorry to be so graphic), i totally freaked out and went for another scan and everything was fine. I then continued to bleed a little browny pink blood everytime i wiped until i was about 11-12 weeks. I also had a tiny bit again at 14 weeks. I can promise you it is nothing to worry about - my doc actually told me around 50% of women have some kind of bleed in their first 12 weeks of pregnancy. If it would put your mind at rest dont feel stupid for asking for a scan (I went for 3 afterall!) - if the bleeding gets heavier or you start to get bad period like cramps go to see your doc or the hospital.

But just dont worry yourself too much - youve only had a little bit and its very common.

Congrats by the way and good luck

When do you think your due?

Love Kirsten xx
