Hi Faye
hope all goes well today. Every hospital is different so difficult to say what they will do. Prob chat to you and note down your history and then set you up with more tests, or a programme of meds/scans etc to see if you are ovulating regularly.
Let us know how it goes

Hi Billy,

Thanks for your reply. It's such a stressful time and it's taking ages. I am very nervous about having the camera, doc said they will do this to check for endometriosis etc.

First bloods i had done the lab lost them Eeker so i had to have them re done and more time off work, talk about stress you even more!!

I suppose i am best thinking when today is out of the way i'm another step closer to getting an answer Confused

I feel like such a failure but after two and a half years i feel like it's never going to my turn.

I will let you know how i get on Smiler Thanks for replying

Hello,

Well we went and to be honest it was the biggest load of crap ever!!

He had a nasty attitude and i couldn't hardly understand what he was telling us.

Basically he said he didn't think i had endometriosis as i don't have symptoms, i had to prompt him about having the dye to check my tubes he wasn't bothered about doing it at this stage.

DH has to have a sperm re-test, i have to have blood test for ruebella ( god knows why i couldn't have been tested for that with my original bloods)

He said i honestly think that you both will be fine and that it will happen and you must stop thinking about it (YEAH RIGHT) enjoy each other, which we do! How can he say we are alright if it's been 33 months. He doesn't know either of us how can he tell i haven't got blocked tubes or something else

Basically i felt he was in no rush to get things moving i had to ask him.

He also said that temping and ovulation kits are a big no no no.

He said ovulation kits are a waste of money as it hasn't been proved exactly when a woman ovulates that it can happen any time he used cathlics as an example as they can't use contraception so they have sex just before or just after there AF but still get pregnant.

I went in there expecting to be told what happens next and what tests i have to have.

He was more bothered about us going away and carrying on as normal as he said you will be pregnant very soon

Confused

SORRY 4 CRASHING IN but i was anoyed wen i read abt how you feel abt ur doctor, you should go to ur own doctor and ask 2 see a diff doc cuz the one u saw seems like he has his head up his hinney, and as for catholics not using contraception lmao is this doc 4 real or stuck in the 18 hundreds id say only 1 in every 10 thousand catholics follow that rule these days.

i think its awful that he did'nt look more in 2 ur case im not saying there is any thing wrong with you but he did'nt even make sure

deffo hun go see ur own GP and tell him you want 2 see another doctor at the hospital because u r not happy.

sending u lots of baby dust xoxoxo

Sorry to poke my nose in, but can't believe how you were treated. That's disgusting. I would ask for a different specialist, tell your doc about the appointment. This ttc lark is very stressful and the last thing you need is a rude "specialist" making you feel worse!

Also the comment about the catholic couples.... that is a massive generalisation for him to make. Does he not think that a lot of babies conceived in catholic couples were perhaps the result of them getting a tad carried away mid-cycle? They are only human after all Big Grin

Good luck, hope everything works out for you.
