Hello ladies. Time for a post before i have a soak in the tub. Ciaran had a restless night last night so we only just got up with him! He just would not settle in his moses basket and every time i put him down he screamed then stopped when i put him in our bed. I know you should try to leave them sometimes but there is nothing like a newborn cry to tug at the heart strings! Pj- Congratulations on the birth of Grace Emma that is a lovely name. Glad you are well but unfortunate about the cathetar. x Kate- It sounds like things are gearing up but i had no signs of imminent labour and i was still 2 weeks early so you never know. Jessley- Hope things get going for you soon it is horrible when your back hurts a lot as you can't get comfy. But now at least you know it is not far away. Sezzy- Don't let it get you down. I think i would have been the same if i hadn't of been early. When you are used to being very busy at work then suddenly you have got all the time in the world it is hard to adjust. Just think very soon you will be wishing you could get a minute to post to us! Pobs- Thanks i am quite a chilled person anyway and my dh is so it helps. Last night i got a bit upset though cause nothing i did made him settle but after a tear i was fine i think it is a very hormonal time this! I am getting a bit nervous about dh going back to work soon cause we really do share Ciaran 50/50 so it will be strange for it to be just me and him for a working day but i think it will do me good. I took Ciaran in to work 2 days after i had him by the way and nothing wakes this baby up when he is conked out i hoovered with him in the room the other day and i have a Dyson pet vacuum which is very loud! He definately doesn't mind the hairdryer i put it on with him on the bed and he was fine. Anyway my bath is over filling as we speak. I can't wait for the next arrival it is soooo exiting! Lots of love Amy and Ciaran. xxxxxxxxx Me- 28 DH-26 Ciaran Jacob was born Thursday 10th July at 10.38am. Weighing 7lb2oz.

amy...sounds like you have got a good routine going what with the sharing etc, but like you said im sure when dh goes bk to work it will be fine, im secretly dreading it as on the 7th sept my partner flies to cyprus for 7nights for his sisters wedding, but im sure i will be fine just the thought of it though.

I nearly couldn'd find our thread it had dropped down so far! How are we all today? I am melting! It's hard work being pg in this heat!! I almost find myself wishing I was in our lovely air conditioned office - can't believe I want to be back in work LOL! Had a great day yesterday though, I gave myself a good talking to and reminded myself of to enjoy the time before teh baby arrives. So I went shopping in our local area, which I will be doing more of now I'm on maternity leave. They already know me in the bakery and I found out our loca butcher used to go to the same slimming group as me. I also popped into a hardware/garden shop and then met a very friendly pharmacist whose 50th birthday is my due date. Had a very pleasant couple of hours shopping locally and chatting to people, combined with a long spell of walking (good for labour!) and I spent less than I would have in Tescos too! Then my mum, aunt and grandfather came to see me so we spent a good few hours in the garden, then in the evening friends of ours cooked a fab dinner for us. So my mood of a couple of days ago is totally gone now! I still wish the baby would come now though! HOw are your tan lines coming Paula lol?! I can't sit out in this heat, I'm such a hot person these sorts of temps have me really sweaty (sorry TMI!!) HOw are you doing Amy, has DH gone back to work or is that next week? You'll be fab though. HOw is Ciaran with teh moses basket now? NO news from Kate.... anything happening Kate? I reckon it is girls, she's been having some VERY encouraging signs hasn't she? She's 36+6 today so it would be all good. Pobs, glad Scarlett's giving you a bit more sleep now and hopefully you're through the worst now. Well done for sticking with teh BF and that's a top tip about the little bit of formula btw! HOpefully she will settle into a lovely sleeping pattern now, fingers crossed. Right, I got paid today so I'd better be off to pay all my bills, DH would not have a clue so I'd better get it done just in case! hi to everyone else xxx

Hiya girls, bumps and babes. Just nipping in to check on sezzy, paula and Kate....our next baby must be thinking of making an entrance sorry i'm not stopping to do personals but ive had a crappy two days with about 4hrs sleep in total, Scarlett decided to pull to all nighters, she is a party animal, we've been binge drinking on boobie milk and i'm a little worse for wear to say the least. Have just taken matters in to my own hands and bought a electric breast pump from ebay so that Df can take over a little seens as our Miss Scarlett doesn't like sleep to much LOL. Its almost feed time again so just time to get a quick drink and snack. Have had to give up on the mixed feeding as it was upsetting Scarletts tummy and she was screaming all day yesterday..think it was a touch of colic so Ive got to do either breast or formula I think ( to be honest I have no idea what i'm doing and i'm just clutching at straws!!) going to stick with the BF, use my pump and see what happens, if that fails then ive given it my best shot and its formula all the way. Scarlett grunting at me so best go. love to all. xxxx

Hi ladies, Sezzy sorry no news from me, been out all day at Center parcs visiting DH's parents, sister and niece. Wasn't much fun for me cos I couldn't join in and its sooooo hot but Ben enjoyed it and had a good swim too. Glad you are feeling better and had a nice day out the house yesterday. Pobs, sorry you've been having a bad few days. I'm really not good on reduced sleep so well done for taking the time to come on here. Hope the breastfeeding gets easier. If you are expressing too what bottles are you using? Dr brown's bottles are supposed to be fab for reducing colic. I've bought some this time as we used avent then I stopped breastfeeding with Ben and even though he didn't have colic he was very sicky and the Dr' browns can reduce that too. Paula, have you been topping up the tan today? Amy, we have that dyson pet hoover and I'm obsessed with hoovering, usually hoover twice a day so I'm hoping it will help make the baby sleep when she arrives, she must be so used to the sound of it now lol Hi to everyone else Angel, Kirsten, Kirsti, PJ, Jessley and anyone I missed, wondering if we have any new arrivals we don't know about yet??? Well as I said I'm still here, everything has died down although driving back from center parcs has set off the old BH's but thats not unusual. I'm hoping that the relief fo getting to 37 weeks tomorrow will set of labour (I wish lol!!!!!) I did actually dream last night that I didn't make it to hospital and had the baby at home, hope there's nothing in that! Anyway thats about it from me. K x

Hello all.. Just stopping by to see if there are any arrivals!!!! no sign yet though! Got my walk in the evening sunshine pushing pram with Dh lastnight!! i was so happy- although tired, as we had been out all day, 1st for food with ALL 4 children, yes and we survived it in a restaurant aswell, bless them they were really good, it was for Dh as its his birthday on sunday but he is working now til tues so that was the only day we could do it. Then afterwards we went to Beaumaris.. A really nice day as a family which we dont often get to do. pobs.. we are really going through it together aint we?? had to take mason to doc's this morning as he's been awful the last couple of days.. i too gave a top up bottle on tues and weds (daytime).. to settle him as he just doesn't seem content, now i really regret it as i feel so guilty and now think ive upset his stomach and the dr says he has a nasty bout of colic.. oh WHY did i do it?? i know that babies adjust the milk to the right strength and dont need top ups.. sheesh, im not right in he head i'm sure. so this morning hes been throwing up and he is a bit dehydrated- this heat doesn't help either, so i was advised to keep up the feeds (breast) to keep him hydrated.. i feel so bad. I too would love an electric pump, was yours cheaper off ebay? they are expensive aren't they? yes i agree we really need to support each other, i do not want to give up feeding as i know i will be so gutted, its made me even more determined to cary on actually after seeing hin in so much pain with the formula. Amy.. well done on staying so chilled, babies pick up on it so thats why ciaran is so good for you! have you tried swaddling him when you put him down in the moses basket? i'm sure he will settle back down for you again soon! kate.. awwww, still no baby then! you might just niggle like i did, but one good thing i suppose, well, so they say!!! if you have a long pre labour the actual active labour is supposed to be quicker! well, it was right for me in 3 pg's anyway!! booooo, to you not being able to have fun today, at least it got you out and distracted you from events and Ben still had fun!! hope that's one dream for you that doesn't come true lol.. it was one of my recurring nightmares, thank god i made it there! sezzy.. Sending you some cool fresh breeze vibes from the North here!!! not that its THAT cool! poor you in this heat, i really do feel for you, i was pg summer 2000 with jordan and had him on 8th august- soooooo hot that summer, it will be over real soon for you though! you hang on in there chuck, yer doing great!! paula.. tan sounding good lol!! you will have to get your bikini on and sort those tan lines out lol!! hope you are keeping well. well, waving hello to stalkers- yes you michie! i haven't forgotten bout you! and to everyone else who posted comments for me the last couple of weeks! well, having new windows put in tomorrow so need to be up and sorted ready early as the scafolding going up on the front 1st thing and dont want to be met by a workman in hardhat when i open my curtains lol!!! Emm & mason. xx

Happy 37 weeks Kate! Term at last! Hope those 'niggles' turn out to be more than niggles, the real thing perhaps?! oooh, I'm keeping an eye on you hun! PObs, ah bless you, how can you still have a sense of humour when you've had 4 hours sleep in 48 hours??? Ah, I really hope Scarlett settles for you soon... And Angel too with Mason, what stresses you ladies are going through. Can't believe the six of you were out and about yesterday though, well done! And you got your stroll with the pram in the sun!! I think the summer will be over by the time my little 'un arrives, it's raining here today so those couple of sunny days are probably it for 2008 LOL! Paula, hope it is still sunny with you - and the RLT and pineapple work soon. I have a feeling I'm having a boy and that's what Amy predicted and she was scarily correct with everyone else LOL! But I really can't wait to find out... oh I am soooo excited now! Hi Michie ((((((((waves))))))! Am telling Beanie NOT to arrive today can you believe?!! It's my niece's 2nd birthday today and I just think that it would lead to years of hassle if our babies were born on the same day, as we don't get on with my SIL and she would try and make it as difficult as possible for our children to share birthday celebrations - or just refuse point blank. Lol, I've been wishing this baby to come and you can guarantee s/he will be born today! I had a good mw appt. yesterday - Beanie's not totally back-to-back now, his back is to my side. I'm 3/5 dilated, which is what Amy was when she went into labour I think, and everything else was normal, so I'm still okay for my home birth. Still no signs though! I'm not even getting BHs! And I've tried EVERYTHING this week - pineapple, curry, hot baths (in this temperature too, they were horrible), sitting out in the heat, long walks, walks up hills and let's just say DH thinks all his Christmases have come at once LOL Think this baby's too settled in there! xx

Hi ladies. Well happy due date to me! I can't believe i should have waited until now. I think little Ciaran has got a bit of a cold cause he is really whingy and has loads of boogers. Sezzy- Glad you are feeling a bit more positive. My dh is back on weds i am a bit nervous but i think it will do me good to be completely alone with my boy. Pobs- Good idea about the breast pump it will give you a well deserved rest and dh can help out too. He will probably quite like doing it. Angel- Have tried the swaddling he loves it but it is so hot at the moment and he really feels the heat so i can't really do it as much for the time being but as soon as it cools i will be swaddling away! Better go got to cut my dh's nan's hair. So can't be bothered but at least we can have a walk out with the pram. Love to the bumps and babies. Amy and Ciaran. xxxxxxxxx Me- 28 DH-26 Ciaran Jacob was born Thursday 10th July at 10.38am. Weighing 7lb2oz.

Hi ladies, God its really hot and sticky today - ugh I feel horrible. Amy, can't believe today is your due date, seems crazy I bet you can't remember what it was like before Ciaran. Hope he's ok maybe its the heat? Sezzy, sending you some stay put vibes just for today mind! Glad you had a good midwife appt and baby is properly engaged now. Great you're all set for the homebirth. Hi to everyone else. Well I'm struggling in this heat. Lol though I reach 37 weeks and we're having curry for tea and fresh pineapple for dessert . Just had a huge glass of pressed pineapple juice too, not sure I can face doing the deed though. The BH's carried on til I went to bed so it was 7 hrs of them then as I expected they stopped. Woke at 3.30am with really bad period pain and backache but it was a constant pain with no contractions. Kept me awake for an hour then i woke at 7 with them but milder. Then as soon as I got out of bed it went away, probably baby's head pressing down or something. My DH said he'd quite like he rot arrive this weekend - I wish !!! Thats about it from me, will check back later in case there's any baby news. K x
