Hi ladies, I'm still here. All ok on the blood front but tonight I'm feeling really odd. Been fine all day but getting loads of sharp twinges when I walk - more than usual, waddled round tesco at about 1 mile an hr, couldn't keep up with DH and Ben lol. Just had a lovely tea cooked by DH but the urge to hoover (I am obsessed with hoovering!) took over and just did downstairs again (I'm paranoid the house will be a mess when I go into labour). I just can't settle and feel a bit sick. My lower back and bum aches and am a bit crampy, my boobs ache a bit too. I can feel baby's head is right down at the mo which is probably why I ache. Think I'll have a bath in a bit. She better not come out yet, not til 37 weeks! When I have her I want to be able to bring her straight home, no stays in scbu like with Ben. Having said that I'll probably go overdue knowing my luck!!! Sorry for the me me me post, hugs to Angel and Sezzy. lol at Mason's windy bum bless him. Sezzy hope you are ok and not too uncomfortable. Clary sage is an essential oil that can start off contractions but must be used with caution. You can put a couple of drops in the bath and stuff. Anyway I think I'm gonna have that bath now. Hi to everyone else x x K x

Ooooh, Kate, they sound like early labour signs to me! Don't worry though, you're so close to 37 weeks, I'm sure your little girl wont' need a stay in scbu even if she arrives in the next few days. Keeping everything crossed for you! I'll be the last regular poster on here with no baby at this rate! xx

Hi girls. I am doing really well! Ciaran was weighed today and he is now 7lbs5oz so he is above his birth weight now i am happy taking him off the breast was the best thing for us. He is such a good baby but i better not speak to soon. He goes 3 hrs through the night then after a feed and change he is straight back to sleep pretty much. I am just so in love with him i love just putting him on my chest and putting the tv on and chilling out with him. Me and dh have a good system going to when one is getting ready in the morn or tidying up the other has Ciaran. We are really working together it is so much easier but i am going to feel it when he goes back to work. That is not until a week on monday though so i'll worry about it then. Angel- I think his feet hurt more than his head cause i thought he was all out and i really tensed up then they got pulled out so it stung a bit. The head came out more gradually i suppose. Do you find boys wait for you to get the nappie off before giving you a golden shower. I got so pee'd on yesterday i had to shower and he has got my dh loads of times. He went on the weighing scales today as well. Is that a little man thing! Sezzy- I had a lush b'day thanks. I got a card from Ciaran and a birthday cake with Happy Birthday Mummy on it it was lush! Haven't got time to do any more personals i'm afraid but i am checking out if anyone else has popped yet! Anyone know a good website to check out baby development. Like the week by week pregnancy one but for baby's? Lots of love Amy and Ciaran. xxxxxxxx Me- 28 DH-26 Ciaran Jacob was born Thursday 10th July at 10.38am. Weighing 7lb2oz.

Oooh we are halfway there, 7 babies born and 7 yet to arrive!!! Kirsten, congratulations on the arrival of Grace Elizabeth! lovely name can't wait to see pic's and hear about it all. Glad you are all moved too! Amy, glad you are well and Ciaran is thriving. Sounds like you have a great routine going on with your DH! Glad you had a nice birthday too! I found the Babycentre.co.uk website is good for development updates. Paula, well happy 37 weeks you are officially full term woo hoo!!! its nice when you've got all the baby stuff ready isn't it - and a relief!!! lol at the fanny twinges! Sezzy, how are you doing hun? anything happening? I bet I'll be the last one posting on here lol Angel sorry your still not getting the sleep you need. Did you try Mason again in his mosos basket last night? Ben slept fine in his moses basket or crib, its never occured to me that this baby might not. Pobs, hows it going hun, has the breastfeeding got any better. Hope Scarlett's sleeping a bit better for you. Well hi to everyone else, love to babies and bumps. I'm fine, was still getting the cramps etc yesterday and halfway thropugh the night but its all gone away for now. I spoke to a midwife yesterday who said its either my body telling me to slow down and rest, or that things are gearing up. But she warned me it could still take weeks which I already knew. But the main thing is I feel reassured and will just take paracetamol or have a bath if I feel I need it. And just wait..............Its quite horrible to think I could still have 5 weeks of this Anyway we are in for a hot week here in east anglia so hoping I wont get too much swelling as I had it so bad in my feet and legs when pg with Ben cos 2006 was such a hot summer. Supposed to be going to center parcs for the day on Thurs as in-laws are there for the week. Its predicted to be 26 degrees I am not looking forward to it at all, not only is there nothing much I can do being heavily pg, I will now be lumbering about in the heat too. Anyway I've rambled on far too much. Think me and Ben will get out of the house this afternoon as all the twinges etc have died down. K x

hey again! well ive done a very quick read up!! well i think i may have been the first too have my baby (2nd July at 4.02am) - i cant believe Grace arrived before mason angel! but congrats on the birth of mason - and a whopping 10lb 1, omg, and u had such a quick labour - u lucky thing!! Pobbins - looks like we have the same date! Scarlett Daisy is a lovely name - well done hun! Kirsty - cant believe your baby is here already! and a really healthly weight too for going so early! congrats on the birth of mason! Amy - another shocker! And we have the same birth weight too! Ciaran is a lovely name - congraulations hun! Well my birth story - Fri 28th - me and dp decided to have sex to see if we could bring something on! 1st time in 8 months, and it was awful ha! like a real chore! anyway, that night i had very mild period pains but thought nothing of it. Saturday morning i wole up to go to the loo and lost a large blood clot - rang the hospital and they told me to go straight up. When i got there i was examined and i had a show still up there and i was 1cm but not effaced. went home. Nothing happened Sunday, then monday i stared to get mild contractions every 15 minutes - these went all day monday and monday night, monday moring they got ery strong and painful, but still every 10 minutes, but dinner time they were really bad so mum rang hospital and they said only to come when they were every 3 to 5 minutes. By 7 o clock they were every 3 minutes and had been for 3 hours, the pain wasnt really in my stomach but in my back and my bottom and was soo painful - at this point we rang the hospital who said not to go in yet but to try a hot bath and paracetamol!! (omg can u believe that) anyways i did but they were still coming every 3 minutes and it got to a point were i couldnt really talk and was just lying still on the bed. Rang hospital again and they asked me were my pains in my tummy, i told them yes but not very strong but killing my bottom and back - the midwife told me that i wasnt in labour but just having effacing pains and it would be a couple of days yet! so i told her that i was 1cm on the friday and she laughed at me and said 'listen love, your not in labour, your are not having contractions they are effacing pains, so just go to bed and try to sleep them off, trust me, you will know when your having real contrations and there not them!' - ignorant cow! anyway, i couldt cope being at home so we rang a friend wo is a midwife and she said just ring the hospital and tell them you are coming and that you want to be examined- we did this and they told us to go down but expext to be going home again. Got to hospital - (after lots of tears in the car as i was scared that the midwife was right and that i was just having effacing pains therefore how the hel would i cope with real contractions as these were killing me!) had to wait for 1 hour when a really nice midwife (thank god) called me in. it was 10.30pm by this point - she examined me and guess what - yes i was in labour and i was 6cm! Me, dp and my mum were sooo happy we were jumping around the room with joy - i was even says 'oh this is soo easy, im having 100 children'! so i decided not to have epidural and to just get gas and air and a meptid injection - which was fantastic - i felt like i was floating! Anyhow, contractions kept coming and getting worse and worse and finally at 2.45am i was ready to push! by this time i wasnt saying this is easy ill have 100 kids, its was im never ever doing this again! the 'pushing around the bend' bit was proably the worst and took me around 1hr 15 mins, but the crowning and Grace actually coming out was amazing - something id definatley do again, the pain seemed to stop when i knew she had crowned and it was such a good feeling to know she would be here any minute. she arrived at 4.02am on the 2nd July and the feeling of love i got for her that minute was amazing and will never stop, she is soo beautiful and absoloutley perfect! After she was born i was sooo tired and so was my mum and dp - who were both fantastic at the birth btw, i was told i would be put onto the ward after a couple of hours - but that never happened, but what did i expect with how id already been treated! mum and dp left at 6am - midwife asked if i would like to breastfeed, which i did, so she lied baby next to me on bed and left me to it - i was left there until 11am (no midwife in sight!), alone, really tired with baby lied at side of me,i had to put her in cot as i kept falling asleep and was scared i was going to smother her. at 11 a nurse came in who told me to stand up - i did and lost quite alot of blood - so she told me to go have a wee and to ring bell when id had 1, if not she'd be back for me, i was left sa on toilet for 35 mins loosing blood! i couldnt wee so just decided to ring buzzer anyway! she took me to ward - i was seen again at 6pm to feed baby, however she wouldnt latch on, although they did only spend 5minutes with me - when they suggested i get her some formula milk as she was hungry! i couldnt beleive it, but i agreed as i was soo tired, they spoon fed her the tinyest amount of milk ever! so by 8pm she was starving again and crying so i asked for help breastfeeding as i was struggling alone and they told me to give her a bottle! which i did - and have regretted ever since - i am crying now just writing it, i really wanted to breastfeed and am gutted that i didnt stick with it and feel really guilty! Anyway - more dissapointment from hospital - they didnt show me how to wind, change, wash or bath baby - am really dissapointed with how me and baby was treated! but anyways - sorry for such a long post and moaning bit at end - but Grace is fantastic and worth every pains and sickness and everything! i love being a mummy - it is hard work but deffo worth it!! congrats to all who have had babies and cant wait for more news on anymore born and i promise i will keep up as im going to be at my mums abit more over the next couple of weeks! i will post some piccies of Grace! lots of love Kirsten and Grace xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
