AMY!!!! WTF! How exciting - well done you - loved reading your birth story you sounded like you had everything amazingly under control! Its yet more proof that awful pregnancies have better labours! Well done darling - and love the name (but then I am biased as its DS1's name too!)
All the very bext and hope BFing goes a little easier for you. Sadly I managed 6 weeks and switched to formula - poor Wyatt was just too hungry! Still nice to get a bit of routine going now!
COngrats also to all the other july mummies who have delivered - well done! Pain free labour dust to the rest of you - see you over on parenting! xx

sezzy... not got too much planned for this week just wanna take it easy being 1st week off! going to see midwife tomorrow for followup about my scan and thurs im meeting up with a couple m8s they not long had there 1st babies 1 is 2 1/2 months old other one is 3months old sooo cute! hope the rain stays away so you can get your garden the way you want it!
amy... your lil man is being so good for you both bless him. im glad bf is getting a bit easier for you now, my friend found it hard in the 1st week but she is so glad she stuck at it now. i am going to try bf i know its not going to be easy though. flat tum almost too ideal!!
hope every1 else is ok either spending time with your new borns or perhaps having them!
well i not got much too say only that started my raspberry leaf tablets today and drinking plenty of pure pineapple juice!! really need to get motivated and pack my hospital bag too!
ah, how gorgeous is Ciaran? I've got a massive lump in my throat now. He is gorgeous and Amy you look so happy and radiant! Is it me or does he have the same babygro as Mason in one of them? LOL you and Angel have very good taste (it's a lovely babygro!)
I'm still here (what do I expect, I'm only 37+3 hahaha), walked for an hour today and bought some pineapple, I'm not going to wait to be overdue to start these things lol! Am also working hard at getting Beanie to turn from back to back, lots of sitting or kneeling over birth ball as recommended by Kate. I have the mw on Thursday so we'll see if my little tinker's turned by then. I can't really tell at the moment. Amy, Ciaran was back to back though wasn't he? And you did brilliantly and your labour wasn't too long. Not to mention all the other mums who've been on and said the same thing. I should probably stop stressing about it and maybe start stressing about my second assignment, which I STILL haven't started!
How was your first day off Paula? A bit weird isn't it?! I soon got used to it though LOL, now wild horses couldn't drag me back to that place. It would interfere with my daily snooze for a start!
Hi to everyone else, mums and babies and bumps, hope you are all well and happy xx

O..M..G..............AMY!!! HUGE CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I cant believe i am so far behind and have missed it! Well done you on the arrival of Ciaran Jacob. Persevere with the feeding, i was in tears with the pain a few days after having him, but when my MW looked at how i was feeding him, it was all down to positioning and she got me some cream for my nipples on prescription its called lansinoh and its fantastic..the scabs have healed and i can now feed with a smile on my face!!
Well massive apoligise as ive had no pc for the last week or so, then no internet conection and i just knew everything would be kicking off on here and sooooo gutted i missed it!
CONGRATULATIONS also to babyno5, well done also to you on the safe arrival of Roman Dean!! Great weight even though he was early aswell!
Sezzy.. ah...missed your 'cheer me up' posts hun!! I tried everything to get Mason to turn but he only just did it in the nick of time as he wqs coming down!! so dont worry too much.. bouncing on the ball is great though, and i swear by the rasberry leaf tea!

Hi girls again. I have got some spare time as Ciaran is between feeds so dh is changing him and he will have a kip then. I have had a bit of disappointment with the old breastfeeding though. My nipples are so sore they have started to bleed so i have given in and bought some sma. He absolutely loved it and i wish i would have just done it before i got myself so upset. I am going to speak to the midwife tomorrow and see what she says but i am pretty sure i am going to stop breastfeeding it is just uncomfortable for me and not nice for Ciaran when i am recoiling in pain. It just isn't for me. How long does it take for your boobs to go down and stop killing?
Angel- Already tries the Lansinoh i have been smothereng myself in it. I just have been enjoying everything about having a baby exept the feeding. I always said i would try it unless i really struggled or the baby suffered.
Sezzy- I went mad on the pineapple in the last couple of weeks who knows it might have been that. I made sure it was 100% pure pineapple juice and the day before i went into labour my sis made me a fruit smoothie with a whole pineapple between us! Ciaran wasn't quite completely back to back just most of him but they do tend to get into a better position when you are in labour. You won't believe how much they still drop at the end. the midwife was practically putting the doppler on my fanny bone to get the heartbeat so it can happen last minute.
Anyway off for a bath. I thoroughly recommend them after to help the healing i am nearly back to norm downstairs just waiting to get my normal boobs back! Lots of love Amy and Ciaran. xxxxx
Me- 28 DH-26
Ciaran Jacob was born Thursday 10th July at 10.38am. Weighing 7lb2oz.

Awww, Amy.. Its so hard when you are in pain i totally understand..its excruciating, I was close to givingup but thank god my MW sorted it for me, coz i really really want to feed and i know if i gave up i would be so disappointed like i was after I did with Holly. At the end of the day though if its not for you then its not right to keep going coz its only going to make you dread the feeds and spoil your 1st few weeks.. As for the Jordan look.. if you leave them alone and dont express you should feel more comfy in a few days, put cabbage leaves on them that have been in fridge, to soothe the engorgement. I couldn't handle it and had to express a bit of milk of with the others when i stopped feeding them but they tell you not to as the more you stimulate the more milk is made.. it just took a bit longer for them to settle. Ask your MW though if you got any probs hun..
well Mr. hungry has finally settled, he will prob have another feed when i go up to bed in a bit, i put him in bed with me and i can go to sleep then, then when i wake up in a couple of hours, i just put him in the moses basket. Had a bit of trouble getting him to settle in it, as he loves his rocker chair to sleep in during the day.. he likes to sleep next to 'booby' all night lol!
righty, I'm finished.. Night everyone, Mums, Tums & babes. x
I had the sweep on the thursday afternoon, the day before my due date.. had cramping for a few hours but nothing regular, woke up the next morning and nothing, no cramps.. just felt tired. Told Dh i HAD to have the baby that day as i was so let down that the sweep had failed (or did it?) and wanted it all over. I didn't go out as i didn't feel very safe.. but didn't feel labour was imminent either. Spent the morning glued to the birthing ball bouncing and rolling, then I did 2 loads of washing lights and darks and put them out to dry, At 12.00 i told Dh we would have some dinner then we were having some lovin' lol!! ok, this may be TMI.. So at 1.00pm we had 'IT'.. Dh went out and i stayed in bed then til 3.30pm when kids came home from school.. I started with cramping at 2.30pm, and thought maybe it had just triggered BH's again.. contractions were 10 mins apart, I got up when kids came home and ironed 4 lines of washing. That took a few hours. Made the kids tea and by this time (6pm) contractions were 5-6 mins apart. I mopped the floor and tided around, phoned MIL to let her know at 7pm that i was in pain and i was going to phone Delivery suite at 9.00pm. Bathed kids and got them to bed for 8.30, MIL called in at 8.45pm and i told her i would ask her to come back over when i was going to go in.. still not sure if this was it as i felt fairly relaxed and in control.. Phoned delivery at 9.00 and they said just to go straight in as i delivered holly quick and it was my 4th baby. Dh came home from work and off we went. we took our time and it was a bit after 10 i think when we got there. Got to delivery suite and they were really busy, only 2 MW there and 2 others in theatre so i waited an hour to be looked at, she said head was really down but i was still 3cm diltaed as i was the day before.. NO CHANGE.. I was so so guttted. She also confirmed.. baby was back to back as i had thought, so she said it could be long labour. I asked how i could get him to turn and she said just lie on your left side that might help She said she wasn't happy to send me home as she knew what happened with holly and because she had examined me that may have stirred things up. I started getting more pains but nothing OTT. I was informed that Antenatal/labour ward was too busy and that i had to stay there til there was room to transfer me. I fell asleep for 10 mins DH was watching a film on Tv, I woke up and just looked at Dh, i felt and heard a really loud pop, I instantly knew it was my waters and told Dh to get MW back, he said why? i just shouted at him 'quick..' the fluid was pouring out like a river and i had white linen trousers on!! i was frozen on my side on the bed, the mw came in and went 'gosh, that was quick!!' she told me to get changed and put a pad on, when i started to get undressed i noticed my waters were green, and still pouring out. I called mw back and she said not to panic as it was prob coz i was to my dates, but they would still have to monitor me for the rest of labour..
Within 5 mins of my waters going contractions were back to back.. i was on gas and air and struggling to keep it together bacause of the speed and intensity of it all. Little while later and i got a huge urge to push- just as soon as the mw left the room for a second! i just screamed HELP.. and Dh ran after her and i was on my own.. OMG, i screamed! Dh said after i was OTT but i dont care, it hurt!! I was still having painfull contractions, it was as if stage 1 and 2 were at the same time.. and i was not mentally prepared for it. As i was pushing i could feel him turning around as he was moving down, an incredible feeling but also the most painful thing in the world.. I pushed real hard for ages but felt like i wasn't progressing fast enough, i was upright but mw said maybe move position as it may help, so i struggled but got on my side and held my leg up each time i pushed , i think i did that 3 times, then i had to get on my back as i just had no energy left.. i had given up on gas and air when i went onto my side as i couldn't hold it and hold my leg up.. so yes.. NO pain relief!! ... finally his head was there and i wont go into great detail but it was very hard and excruciating pain to get it out, once his head was out they flattend the bed and pulled my legs into the mc Roberts position- i'm still not clear why, as i wasn't aware that he was stuck or anything.. and out he finally came at 2.25 am on the 5th July weighing 10lb 1oz!! I had 2 stitches, but then had a PPH and lost 700mls of blood, i had to go on a drip of synto for 4 hours and stayed on the delivery suite to be looked after by some amazing MW's that i felt really looked after me as an individual not just another person having a baby.
so there is baby mason george's arrival..

angel...how organised are you!! sorting your washing and ironing, and getting the kids to bed before you went to the hospital!!! Wow is all I can say!!! well done missus!! and no pain relief too!!! I hope Im half as organised as you when its my turn congrats again, give mason a kiss from me xxxx
Angel: Ive just read your birth story and it brings tears to my eyes.....how organised you were im really trying not to think about the pain but I know soon i'll have to mentally try and prepare myself . I am so happy all is going well for you and your family.
Angel, your birth story was amazing, can't believe all the jobs you did before you went to hospital! No probs doing the stats, will probably do them every other day unless there is a birth announcement and i'll stop when baby arrives. The new pic's of Mason are adorable.
Amy don't beat yourself up about the breastfeeding. Like Angel said there is just no point if it makes you miserable. I nearly gave up with Ben after a few weeks but managed to carry on and it got better but after 4 months I wanted my body back! I intend to breastfeed again but it may be a whole different story with a toddler demanding my attention. Meant to say I was shocked at the pic of you just after giving birth, you look fresh as a daisy!!! love the rest of the pic's.
Pobs, hope you are continuing to recover well and Scarlett is still being a good girl for her mummy. Is the breastfeeding going well?
Sezzy, are you still trying things to get labour going? I think when I hit 37 weeks i might try some old wives tales. I've got some clary sage oil to try if I'm still pg at 38 weeks. All these gorgeous baby pic's makes me feel so impatient about meeting my little girl. Do you feel like that?
Kirsti, not sure if I've already said this but Masyn is adorable, such delicate features! hope he's doing well. I bet his big brother is very proud!
PJ girl, nice to hear from you, glad the work is finished. Our is too but still got decorating to do. I just want my house back in order but find it difficult doing stuff now. Anyway I hope things happen for you soon and you get to meet your little girl.
Hi to everyone else, I wonder who's baby will be born next?
Well I'm fine, sleeping much better lately which is bliss! Ben has been sleeping like a dream since he moved into his old room, he loves his big bed and his big boys room! Got the nursery sorted and clothes washed . Hospital bags packed so all set for baby. Just hoping to get the new porch and downstairs loo decorated before baby comes or it will never get done!
Anyway need to get off the sofa and make the most of this lovely weather.
Oh better do the stats first. Bye x x x
