Ive just had to read Amy's post three times as I couldn't believe what I was reading...OMG AMY, huge congrats hunny, you did it, I still can't believe it...what an inpatient ickle man....see that rasberry leaf tea is good just the thought of buying it started you off LOL.
Can't wait to see pictures so get them on soon and can't wait to hear about it, that was good timing though Amy..what was it about 12 hrs does that work out??? Oh i'm just soooooo excited for you, i'm beaming Big Grin Big Grin and there was me thinking you were just about to gloat about holding a pot of chocolate ice cream xxxxxx

Well done Kirsti....another bubba who wanted to make an early apperance, can't wait to hear you story aswell, take it easy, pictures when you can xxx ((()))

Angel....Hope Mason is settling in to your family and you are managing to get some sleep. How are you feeling???

Kate.... thankgod your bleed was nothing to worry about, best to get these things checked. With all these babies coming early perhaps it was a sign things will start for you too Big Grin

Sezzy...Good on you going for a home birth and getting the pool, Is it hired??? I will be sending you lots of easy labour vibes...thank you for the concerns mum..(lol) you are right I do need to take it abit easier, i forget it was only last week I had surgery. I feel fine all the time i'm out and about but then the evenings I suffer. You know me, can't sit still. I hope you are having plenty of rest, I think thats why I feel so good as I did nothing but sleep the couple of days leading up to having Scarlett.

Scarlett has been weighed by mw and has lost a little, she is now 7lb 14, which is fine and within the normal loss they expect. Feeling quite tired today. Scarlett slept from 12 till 4am but then didn't want to settle back down after that feed, she finally went back down at 8.30am little minx !! she has just had a feed and is laying on me, i still can't believe she is mine. we have lots of visitors coming to meet her tomorrow.

best go get sorted for bedtime. waves to all. love Pobs and scarlett xxxx

Hi girlies.
What a crazy couple of days it has been. Big Grin
I haven't had chance to come on yet with my birth story so here it goes and i'll try to remember it all!

I spent the afternoon with my sister on Wednesday.
I had a sudden back pain which took my breath away and i had to get on all fours with the pain i was also nearly sick but i thought that he had just got trapped on a nerve! Eeker
So it went away completely and it thought nothing of it again.
I went to sleep that night and about 11.30 was awoken because i thought i had pee'd myself until i got up to go to the loo and water gushed out of me on the way.
I sat on the loo and wiped and had a bit of a show so i went to wake up dh who thought i said that someone had broke in!(sleep talker)
we phoned the birth unit and they said it sounded like a watery show and to try to go back to sleep unless it got any worse. Mad
Anyway as soon as i put the phone down i had 3 more gushes of watery stuff so i phoned them back and they said to come straight in.
I really didn't think anything was happening as i wasn't having any pain at all i just thought i had lost my waters! Roll Eyes
I got there and they examined the pad i had on and kept me waiting for a bit cause they were busy.
The midwife came back and took my bp but they wouldn't examine me cause my water's had gone incase of infection.
Anyway she then listened to the heartbeat with a doppler and i said 'ooh im having a Braxton Hick ' and she said 'no it's a contraction!' Roll Eyes
So i knew i was in for the long haul then.
Basically from that point the 'Braxton Hicks' turned to period pain the to intense period pain in a couple of hours until they were get on all fours pains and coming every 3 mins.
I then said i would like some pain relief when i excepted the fact he was coming and there was nothing i could do to stop it! Roll Eyes
So i had 2 co-codamol and got into a warm bath until i could decide what i wanted for the pain.
But then in the bath i felt like i needed a giant poo and a very strong urgency to push!
So i got out and told the midwife who then examined me to be fully dilated and ready to push. Eeker
So there was literally no time for pain relief as i was going to have to start pushing.
So i went for it with each contraction i pushed him further and further out until after about 11 hours after my water broke i finally got him out.
The cord was round his neck twice but he was crying and very healthy.
Then the fun began and they gave me the injection to deliver my placenta and the bloody thing wouldn't come out.
So after 55 mins and still no sign they started talking about manually removing it with an epideral!
But thank got it came out just after as i would have been really pissed off to have had no pain relief and to have had to have some for the placenta.

Anyway he was 7lbs2oz which surprised me i thought he would be heavier but he is absolutely gorgeous.
I had no stitches but a few grazes and small tears which are a bit sore but not too bad.
I can't believe how much you forget about the birth as soon as they are out it is like the pain has vanished and it is all worth it.

He is a very good baby though he sleep most of the day but won't sleep in his crib.
He sleeps in the moses basket but only for an hour then he starts crying.
So we put him with us for a bit and he goes back in but only for an hour at a time.
Breast feeding started out well but my nipples are so sore it is becoming quite painful but the midwife is coming tomorrow so i can talk to her about it.
I would do it all over in a second it was painful but so worth it when you see them for the first time.
I just can't believe he was in my tummy! Big Grin
I can't do personal as i have only just got a bit of time to do this as i want a bath to try and sooth the nips and the fanny! Eeker
I'll be back as soon as poss.
I hope everyone is doing well and the new arrivals.
I didn't even get 2 week off work so enjoy it whilst you can just incase!
Lots of love Amy and Ciaran. xxxxxxx

If no baby by Wed have an apt with consultant to assess but hope it happens before then. Dont want to be induced this time.

Kate - hope Bens eye better and hope you are doing well.

Hope everyone else ok. Sorry not long post but couldnt sleep this morning so thought I would nip on to have a quick catch up but might try to sneal another hour now!!!

Take care all, now things are getting more back to normal my end should be able to keep track!!!

Amy, what a fab birth story, I want one of those please, 11 hours is great for a first baby and no pain relief - wowsers that's great going! Good for you for sticking wiht the bf and hope the mw can help you with the sore nips tomorrow. You sound in really good spirits too which is encouraging for me. 7lb 2 is a great weight too, cos you didn't go to 40 weeks, he'd have been a bumper 9lb-er if you had LOL!!

Kisrti, glad you are home now and Masyn's okay, they do like to be careful don't they, but sounds like you're both doing well.

PJ, yay to getting the extension done, perhaps now you can spend some time walking up hills, eating pineapple, having séx and whatever else you need to do to get that baby out before being induced LOL!

Kate, hope you are okay and the bleeding was just the extra blood going down there - it might be a sign things are hotting up for you! NOt too quickly though LOL, maybe in a few weeks huh?

Paula, yay! to starting your mat leave - LOL at thinking you'll have more time to post though, I thought that and Amy did too but I've been so busy since finishing work, I don't know how I ever managed to fit work in LOL! I've got a quieter week next week in terms of not meeting so many people, but I HAVE to weed my massive blumming garden which will take days because I'm so tired (I let it go a bit to get through my last few weeks of work) and I have an assignment to write. NOt going to allow those things to interfere with my daily snooze though LOL! Have you got any plans for your first week off? Loved the maple M&P stuff you showed us and bet your nursery looks lovely.

Hi to everyone else, reckon there may be a few more babies born on this thread now you know, hope Kirsten Jessley and Ulareadykno pop back on and let us know when they have news even though they haven't been on in a while.

Nothing to report from me, no signs really, the BH are getting a bit more intense but there's no pattern to them and I don't have that many in a day. Still not sure what direction Beanie's facing but suspect s/he is still back-to-back. Feeling a bit bleaargh today but had a rubbish night's sleep so not surprising really. I don't think this baby's going to put an appearance in any time soon!

xx

Hi girls.
Sorry haven't been on to check on everyone i did log on last night but didn't get chance to start writing.
It has been mad. Wink
The visitor's are just never ending but we don't mind cause we like to show him off!
Ciaran is such a good baby he slept for 6 hours in total last night i just had to get up 3hrs in between to feed and change him.
Dh gets up to i feed and he changes mostly we get an end each! Big Grin
My milk came in yesterday which is why my boobs hurt so much i thought i was doing it wrong.
They hurt so much it brought tears to my eyes but as i am getting in a feeding routine it is getting easier.
Before i was dreading feeding him and now i can't wait just to let my Dolly Parton's down a bit! Eeker
I was a 34FF before and i reckon they have at least gone to a HH they look like implants. Wink
Ciaran has lost a bit of weight he is 6lbs8oz now but the midwife said that is within the normal weight loss and now my milk has come in he will put on a bit so he is getting weighed tomorrow.
All the soreness is coming to an end now so i would recommend a good soak in a warm baths that really helps.
Ooh and my tummy is almost flat again! Sickening isn't it! Roll Eyes

Kirsti- Congratulations on little baby Masyn hope you are recovering well. x

Pj- Hope your little one doesn't keep you waiting too much longer now!

Sezzy- I am in really good spirits thanks we are so happy.
I can also say i couldn't have had a better birthing partner which helps.
He kept me focused and strong.
Every contraction he kept telling me to breathe through my nose and out through my mouth which doesn't take away the pain but it gives you a distraction.
I just can't put into words how much it is worth it and i only did it 4 days ago. Just keep the pma and go for it. Big Grin
Even though it hurts it is all forgotten about when your baby is here.
I can't wait for the girls on here to give birth and you will know what i mean especially the first timers. Big Grin

Babyno5- Congratulations. Roman is a lovely name i and such a good weight for 5 weeks early but you did it girl!

These babies are coming thick and fast now aren't they!
Hope everyone else is ok i know it is hard getting on here for 5 mons when all you want to do is stare at your baby!
Speak soon. Smiler
Love Amy and Ciaran. xx
