Ooh my god this thread is really kicking off now.
Another baby! Big Grin
Congrats to Kirsti 4 weeks early i wasn't too far off with that weight but the old predictions aren't looking too accurate. Roll Eyes

Angel- How's the breastfeeding going with you?
Are you getting on well with it too?

Kate- No chocolate ice-cream at the shop when my dh came home it was vanilla and i was a bit gutted.
Not the end of the world though i broke up a cadbury's choccy bar over it! Roll Eyes
Your midwife said pretty much the same as mine then about the ligaments.
Did they say that the bleed may have been plug related or just more like cervical erosion?

Do we think that Kirsten may be on soon with baby news?
I forgot to say i asked the midwife what sort of size she thinks he will be and she said he is not very big but she thinks he is long.
She said somewhere in the 7's so that is fine with me not that i have a say.
But even if he is bigger i don't think it hurts not to know and i'd rather find out at the time and not worry yet!
Also she said i am not carrying much water.
I'm off to town again to try and pick up my sister's wedding pressie as they have been shut both times i have been.
Then i'm going to have a look in Holland and Barratt for raspberry lea tablets as my midwife also recommended them after i told her about me being a bridesmaid 3 weeks after my due date! Eeker
Catch up again soon.
Love Amy. xxxxxxxxxx

Hi Amy, definitely wasn't the plug, they checked my cervix and didn't say much so I'm assuming its closed. They just said its one of those things but defo nothing sinster. I'm putting it down to increased bloodflow down there. I'm not at all worried which is saying something for me!

Well done Kirsti on the birth of Masyn! Hope all was well, 6lb14 is a good weight as Kate says so hope you are both doing well xx

Angel - hope your bóóbs have settled down now your milk's in! Mason's a greedy baby then LOL! Make sure you find a minute to tell us your birth story - you've got us all intrigued here!

PObs, well done you on getting into town but please look after yourself, you've only just had major surgery after all and you're no good to anyone if you tire yourself out.... ok motherly nag over with, glad you're having such a good time with Scarlett and the feeding adn that she's such a good girl for you! And the sleeping - I'll have one of those please LOL!

Kate, poor little Ben and grrr to that blumming GP who fobbed you off a few times. And your poor DH, blaming himself, not good. HOpefully things will settle down for you all now in preparation for the birth. Re: the birth ball, I already had one... but it was a 75cm one not a 65cm one so was too big for me.... so I wasn't really using it so serves me right BEanie's gone back to back! I went straight out and bought a 65cm one (£4.99!! Why hadn't I done it ages ago?!) and TBH it's so much more comfy than the sofa anyway! And I've been religious about sleeping on my LHS even though I prefer the RHS, and went swimming Monday and yoga Tuesday (Which was lots of being on hands and knees). So Beanie's being given every opportunity to turn LOL! I can do no more!

Amy, IKWYM about the sleeps, seriously, I think I have been bitten by a tsetse fly, I only have to sit down for 5 minutes and I'm off! The other day I thought I was asleep for about 1/2 an hour from about 3pm, and when I opened my eyes and thought about getting up, DH walked through the door after work at 5:30pm! I've found my mornings and lunchtimes have been quite busy and about 3pm I get really tired. I've been drinking the raspberry leaf tea as Angel says it really helps with the 2nd stage of labour, I'm on 3 cups a day at the mo and when I get to 37 weeks (Friday) I'm going up to 4 cups a day which is the maximum. And get you being 3/5ths engaged - I don't reckon you're going to be long my girl!

Thanks Sampain and Liz for your words of encouragment, sure my little Beanie will turn for me!

We've decided to try for a home birth as I really want to labour in water and the stand alone MLU only has one pool for 5 rooms. The MLU attached to the hospital only has 1 pool for 6 rooms, even worse! My Birth Pool in a Box arrived today, so I'm really excited! Never say never, I'll probably have one contraction and be screaming to go to the hospital for an epidural LOL, but the good thing is we have that choice in the UK. Was talking to a South African today who couldn't believe I could be so undecided at this late stage! Well, I am decided on the home birth but I will change my mind at the last minute if I need to.

Aaanyway, hope i've caught up wiht everyone who's been on and LOL to you mums and bumps who haven't been on for a while, are there more babies in the offing I ask myself?!! Am in denial that I will be carrying a full term baby who could come any day as of Friday LOL! Still think I'm about 20 weeks LOL!!

Righto, that's enough from me, I'm at least 45 mins late for me snooze and it's a very important one as it was our 3rd wedding anniversary yesterday and DH is taking me out tonight so I need my beauty sleep!

See you all tomorrow

xx

Amy - still stalking hun! Wanted to say hi and good luck for Labour day! I had the raspberry leaf capsules from H&B and although they didn't help me be on time (i was 5 days late!!) they definately helped with contractions - my womb was efficient so not so painful as it could have been and I went without pain relief even when they were like 1 min apart. The only thing that brings on labour in my experience is a stretch and sweep! Worked within hours for me! Hope all goes well for the rest of you girlies too - I'm shocked that there is a due in thread for march/april 09 already!!!!! Crazy!

Much love and pain free labour dust x

hi every1...

big congratulations to pobs, angel and kirsti looking forward to hearing your birth stories.
hope everything is going well so far how exciting to have your little bundles of joy with you!

i have been keeping an eye on posts but by the time i read them all to catch up i don't have time to post, but it is my last day at work tomorrow yippie! so will have more time!!
i will attempt personnels going bkwards here goes..

sezzy... see you are going for a home birth how cool i love the thought of being in your own environment etc ive heard from midwives that generally people who have home birth don't tend to have any if not very little pain relief as they are much more calmer etc, i would love to do that if i was brave enough! maybe i will on baby number 2 if this birth isnt too bad hehe and also with you baby being back to back sending you lots of turning vibes im sure with everything you are doing your lil one will turn for you.

amy...hope all is good woth you! im also going to go for the rasberry leaf tablets they are stronger than the tea and wont taste as bad if you dont like rasberry leaf tea!
check your clever baby out!! being 3/5 engaged already.

kate... good news your baby is head down, glad your new midwife is one you like, i found out from the receptionist on tues that my midwife who i had from beginning is leaving in less than 2 weeks so i hope my new one will be as nice as yours! sorry to hear about bens eyes hope it clears up soon for him good news that there isnt any long term damage.

pobs... congratulations again, Scarlett is a beautiful name, my friend named her baby Scarlett aswell she is about 2 months old now!
sounds like she is a little gem with her sleeping and feeding.

angel... congrats to you, mason is a great name
he finally made his appearance! hope all is well with you both.

sorry if i missed n e 1 only went bk few pages...well as for me on tues i had midwife appointment and i was measuring 32cm so she booked me in for a growth scan as she thought i was small for dates, i had scan today and all is good!! baby is 5Ib 10oz just above average they said!!
also nursery furniture arrived yesterday i decided on the maple and ivory mama and papas collection in the end!! omg it looks gorgeous just got the cotbed to put together tonight.

im going to cut short as my pizza is ready xxx

hee hee hi Bubbly x x Big Grin

Well I'm sipping my raspberry leaf tea as I type. It doesn't taste as bad as I remember though which is a bonus!

wrote mt birth plan yesterday, made it all seem a reality. Think I've been in denial until now and now I'm panicking about getting the nursery sorted, clothes washed, equipment cleaned etc. The crib is up and next to our bed though - with her little dolly in it Big Grin, can't believe there will be a baby in there soon!!!

Hope everyone is ok, I am getting more and more excited as the birth anouncements are coming in!
