Man, i love this group, I was feeling quite downhearted about the whole back to back thing but thanks to all your words of advice and more importantly, the fact that it doesn't HAVE to be as terrible as they make out has made me feel positive again Thanks everyone! Pobs, aaaah, you sound truly in love and how good is Scarlett, giving you a four hour stretch of sleep already?! I've just been on and seen your piccies, she is sooooo gorgeous! Ahhh, I was full up when I was looking at her soI can't imagine what you feel like. I'll know soon enough LOL! And how brave are you making a trip to Tesco's 5 days after the birth?! How did it go, was she good as gold? OMG Kate, what's going on with poor Ben? The poor sausage is in the wars isn't he? Hope things are okay, let us know when you can. Kirsti, how are you feeling today, hope you're not poorly hun. Amy, does your silence mean that you are as busy as I seem to be? Who said maternity leave was meant to be a time to rest?! My diary's never been so busy! Mind you I did manage to find time for a 2 hour sleep this afternoon which was lovely. Since finishing I've been tired all the time, I think it has all caught up on me but at least I can sleep now LOL! Hi to the rest of you thread buddies and stalkers LOL! I reckon there's a few babies being born out there right now.... xx

Pobs, lovely to hear from you so soon. Glad everything is going well with the feeding too. Sezzy, glad you feel reassured about the back to back thing. I've read the gym ball is probably the most effective and easiest way of getting baby in a good position. Angel, hope you are recovering and settling in at home. Looking forward to hearing from you. Amy, how are things with you? did you say you were getting lots of shooting pains down below? me too ALL the time. I'm going to ask the midwife about it tomorrow as sometimes I feel baby is trying to break out early! Hi to everyone else, I'm dying to know if there are more babies being born. Well thanks Sezzy and Pobs for asking about Ben. Basically he's had this eye infection for almost 3 weeks and its not really clearing up but is less gunky, GP didn't know what it was even after 3 visits and just gave us antibiotic cream. Anyway yesterday DH said it now looks like its a cold sore in the corner of his eye and as he's had swollen glands too I looked on nhs direct website and it said eye cold sores can cause long term damage to eyesight (the cornea) so we called the on-call dr last night who sent us to a&e who couldn't do anything but I took Ben to the eye specialist this morning and it is indeed a cold sore but has not damaged his eye so a big sigh of relief all round. So Ben has some special ointment and a follow up appt in 2 weeks. Poor DH is feeling terrible as he had a cold sore 3 weeks ago which is probably how Ben got it. Anyway the nhs came up trumps in the end and took me seriously and sorted it quickly. Sorry that was long winded. Better go sort tea...

Hi everyone, thanks for the congrats, CONGRATULATIONS pobs I love the nbame scarlett and i wanted to call her that but DH won with Holly! Will check out piccs in a mo when i post mine.. I have started on my birth story last night but it got a bit long winded so ive saved it and i'll post it again. Sezzy love.. Dont worry about the back2back issue, I had it with Jordan which was a 24 hour labour but not just because of position, they made me have epidural coz of the urethrocystocele and it was that that slowed it all down, being on your back does not help at all, like others have said, being upright, dont slouch, birth ball to open pelvis and help posture will all help baby turn, even though i did all this in the last couple of weeks this time, mason was still in my back and i was suffering with really bad back the last week, I thought he was b2b but as kirsten said they didn't confirm until i went in, i asked how i could get him to turn and she said lay on your left side!! well, it didn't turn him but it helped something else....which you will find out about in my birth story lol!!! all i can say is, for me.. I was really horrific back labour but that doesn't mean it will be for you.. righty ho, struggling to sit now and need to post these pics before Mason wakes, will come back on for a better post if he is still sleeping when i'm done on msn.. kate.. hope Ben is recovering well, back soon, Emma. x

Hiya girls. Haven't been on as much as i hoped i would be the time is just flying by. I am trying to stay busy cause i don't want the time to drag. But have got some time to myself today until i have to go to the midwife at 3.30. I either feel full of energy at the moment or absolutely knackered. If i have energy i get loads of things done. But if i have had a bad night's sleep i tend to chill out on the sofa and mostly end up sleeping! I have been getting loads of tummy tightening's as well. Sezzy- My little man is very against my back most of his back is next to mine and i have heard it is more painful. I just try and think that there is still time for him to move a bit but i have heard getting on all fours and leaning forward can help this. I'm going to see midwife today so hopefully he has come off my back a bit. I'll worry nearer the time if he hasn't. You could always have my attitude and refuse to believe that i have to go through labour! I am the same with the naps though. Last week i started to think have i given up work too early but with all the naps i need i never would have been able to stand up all day. Pobs- Glad things are going really well for you. I can't wait to meet my little man now i am such an impatient person anyway imagine what i am like at the moment. I have been washing all his clothes and bedding and can't believe i am going to have someone that fits it all! I am hoping to breast feed him though so glad to hear a positive story about you getting on with it. I know who to ask if i struggle now don't i! How is your dh finding being a daddy then? I can't wait to make my husband a daddy cause i know he will be fantastic! Kate- Hope Ben is ok. I didn't know you could get a cold sore on your eye that must be really uncomfortable for him. What did your midwife say about the shooting pains mine said stretching ligaments. Did your's say the same? Angel- Glad to hear from you and your birth story sounds like it will be interesting. I almost don't want to hear it but now i have too! Mason looks lush in your little picture! Kirsti- How did the hospital apt go? Anymore babies coming yet then! Back later to say how it went with the midwife. Hopefully he has engaged a bit more! Love Amy. xxxxxxxxxx Me- 28 DH-26 Ciaran Jacob was born Thursday 10th July at 10.38am. Weighing 7lb2oz.

afternoon girls...and Mason No new baby news as yet then??????? i'm sure there must be some new babies, its very quiet. We have been into town today, Scarlett's first trip in her pram. She was as good as gold, fed her before we went and she slept the whole time we were out. Feeling sore and tired now though so will stay in tomorrow and rest my wound lol....look at me being so egar to get out and about!!!! We had another good nights sleep. Scarlett went from 12.30 till 4am then 5 til 8.30. DF seems to have lost his ablity to hear between those hours but there isn't much he can do being as i'm feeding so I don't mind...gives me and her some time alone which is lovely. She has just had a good feed and is asleep on my lap while I type this and eat liquorice.....haven't pooped in a week and thats supposed to help....sorry tmi I know sezzy....good on you for catching some rest. thank you for your comments on our pic's. you're right I am totally in love with her. I can't stop gazing at her....can't wait to see your ickle ones first pic's.....won't be long. baby turning vibes coming your way ;;;;;;;;;;; Amy.....you have been busy, its nice to get everything washed and ready isn't it..Df has been wonderful (dispite my joking about his selective hearing ) he is great at winding her and is just in complete oar of her. He loves sitting holding her and now and again I catch him welling up when he is looking at her, very sweet. He even cooked us all a roast sunday and has been keeping on top of the housework for me. I really hope you have as much luck B.F as me as its been such a lovely positive experence so far, I'm loving it. Kate....thank goodness Ben's eye will be ok, what a worry. How are you doing?????? it's been one thing after another for you hasn't it. sending you some well deserved hugs ((((())))))) Angel.....well done again, we have done it yay!!!!!! now comes the best bit How is mason??? is he sleeping/feeding well???? he is a lovely looking fella, I thought he definatley looks like you. Your other children look thrilled to bits with her. Has Holly been a little mum helping?? my dd is very hands on but gets so upset when scarlett cries while she is holding her. my ds has been fab, winding her etc. looking forward to reading your birth story. waves to everyone else who has gone awol...hope its for an exciting reason. must go now love to all Pobs xxxxx

Oh wow another baby!!! Congratulations to Kirsti on the arrival of Masyn, thats a great weight for 36 weeks. Wasn't expecting to see your anouncement just yet! can't wait to hear about it x x Angle, Mason is a smasher!!! he's very cute, I must admit he doesn't look like a big baby at all. you all look very happy and I'm glad you are settling in well at home. Will go read your birth story soon, I'm intreagued!!! Amy, I think yu must be haagen daaz's best customer lol!!! glad the midwife went well, looks baby has moved off your back. Re the pains my midwife said its hormones relaxing ligaments and the fact baby's head is very engaged Pops, well done on getting out the house! do take it easy though although it sounds like your healing really well from the c-section. Scarlett sounds like such a good girl, and a very good sleeper. I hope I'm as lucky!!! Sezzy, hope you are well, have you managed to get hold of a gym ball? Hi to everyone else, can't wait for news of new arrivals x x x Well I am fine, had my midwife appt yesterday, a new midwife who is lovely, really like her. Anyway baby is head down - hooray!!!!! (ball bouncing has paid off!!!) and as I said to Amy is currently very engaged but as she's my 2nd baby she's still able to bob in and out. So that explains the pressure and shooting pains. I'm measuring spot on and everything else is great, all set for my water birth at the midwife led unit (provided a pool is free at the time). My iron levels are actually borderline which explains the dizziness so although its not bad enough for tablets she recommended a liquid supplement from holland and barratt. So I go off all happy and pop to the shops, get home and have had a small bleed . Anyway went to hospital for monitoring and baby is absolutely fine and I'm fine too, just unexplained bleeding probably from the cervix but definitely nothing to worry about. To be honest I just knew all was ok but had to go in to be sure. anyway nothing was going to take the shine off the fact baby has moved head down lol !!! right sorry that was long winded will now attempt the stats. Kate x
