Hi Amy!!

IKWYM!! I dont think he is as big as they say, my bump feels much smaller than wiyh holly..although i keep being told otherwise! I know i have put more weight on but then ive also eaten a lot more so what do you expect!
Ive just got back from picking kids up from school and have a bachache and dull period cramps.. we will have to see if they develop into anything.. fingers crossed, its DH's last night off so if i dont have him tonight or tomorrow day i have been ordered to wait another week by him..not sure i can manage that!!
This baby is doing some seriously freaky stuff with his feet, i think he really is trying to boot his way out Eeker Eeker

Sezzy.. You can do it!! not long now!! Then you can have your well earned rest!

be back later for updates all round..
OMG!! Pobs will now deffo be mummy of 3!!

OMG what a numpty, I just posted the following post in due in Jan/feb! Talk about tired!

Hi girls just a quick touching base from me as I am truly exhausted.

How cool to think that PObs has her little girl next to her in the hospital bed right now. Makes me fill up just thinking of it.

Well, although tomorrow is my last day, it was all about getting through today for me. I finished my third and final report yesterday then had a big client meeting this afternoon to present it - I was up at 5:50 this morning as I hadn't written the presentation (well it would have been a bit hard when I didn't even finish the report till 7pm yesterday LOL!). Anyway, it's a bit rough and ready and the person taking it over from me has already picked holes in some of what I've done but what the hell! I won't give a FOOK after tomorrow!!

Sorry for the me post and lack of personals, I just wanted to drop in and see how you were all doing but I'm going x-eyed from looking at a PC screen for 12 hours a day all week so need to keep it short and sweet.

Back on tomorrow!!

xxx

Quiet on here... are you all off having babies? Confused

I have 3 1/2 more hours in work and soooooo much to do... feel really bad as one of my friends is picking up the project that is in the worst state and I feel awful dropping her in it like that. Frowner

Anyway, the quicker I get on with it the quicker I can finish so more from me later/tomorrow

Heyhey ladies!!

Firstly welcome to our latecomer-newbie Emma!
congrats on your pregnancy and look forward to chatting more!
Dont worry about the baby weight thing as i am in the same boat and been told to expect a 10lb'er lol! but we cant change that now can we so i have decided to just go with the flow!!

Sezzy.. hopefully by the time i have finished this post you will be out the door!! HAPPY MATERNITY LEAVE!
Dont feel guilty about stuff, whats done is done, and now you can focus on your lil babba!

Kate.. Thanks for keeping the chart going! You're doing a grand job hun! Hope you and Ben are ok, how are the dizzy spells at the mo?

Jo.. Thanks for popping on and wishing us luck! Nice to 'hear' from you! Hope you and the children are keeping well.

Amy.. What you been up to today then? are you still feeling like its a day off or are you getting used to the leisurley life!

Well my day went something like this... Big Grin
Took Abbie to schhol, Holly & Jord off as they are still not feeling too well, went to asda and did a stocking up shop for incase i acually miraculously have this baby on my due date Roll Eyes
and then went home, had some toast but felt a bit shakey and sick so downed half a bottle of pinapple juice..(why??!! I dunno,)
Then i was soooo tired i went to bed at 11.00 told Dh not to let me sleep past 1.00 as my clinic appointment was at 2.00 and i wanted a bath before i went, I never actually thought i would sleep that long but woke at 1.15 feeling pretty painful.. all my hips, pubic bone the whole thing was throbbing and i couldn't walk, it was agony.. the only thing i could think was that his head had engaged,, after a few steps i was ok but it was still extremley painful.
For some bizzare reason i HAD to hoover the stairs- in my cripple state aswell yes!
Didn't get chance to have a bath, and got to clinic for 2.00.
To cut a long story short, the consultant that was there knews nothing about me, hadn't looked at my notes and asked me why i was there.. asked how i felt and when i said i was tired now and had enough he asked why, and had i been taking my iron!! Eeker
He asked me how long i had left and when i said i was due tomorrow he went, 'oh yes..we will see you next week then' I sat there a-gasp..
My MW wasn't there and i saw the same one as i had at my antenatal lastweek who didn't know much either..
so i said to the consultant, 'so going overdue and the baby being big also risk of SD etc is that not an issue??' to which he knew nothing about and i ended up telling him about 34 wk scenario, and all the other scares.. he looked at my chart where baby is down as being above 97th centile and he said, 'ok i suppose we should do something,,'
He then told the crap MW to book me in for induction for 41 weeks,
I had to wait outside so that they could take next lady in, and low and behold!!!! MY MIDWIFE walks around the corner!! I could've kissed her!! she had been on a course that had finished early so she had come to help out, she knew isomething was wrong with me, so took me into a room, i explained my worries and everything else on my mind and she said 'right, i'll do a sweep!!' Woo-hoo, now we were getting somewhere!
Anyway when she examined me she said i was 3cm dilated and completley effaced!! she actually said 'paper thin cervix'! I couldn't believe it! she said i will go anytime possibly tonight and to go home and get rocking on my birth ball!!!! I hope she is right, she also added as i was going out the door that her sweeps never fail! so we will see if she is as good as she says eh?

Ok, so i didn't cut a long story short! Hope you are still awake if you got this far!

Just had my curry, and finishing the rest of the pinapple juice then i am off to do some serious hip rolling and get this baby the hell out!

Hope all the labour imminent ladies are well and can get back soon to let us know what the news is!

Kirsten... if you are still pg Happy 40 weeks hun, if not get your booty on here and tell us all about it!!

ok, will try update if any progress later if not i shall be back tomorrow!

Emma. x

Just a quickie as I'm feeling rough, feel full of food and baby, very uncomfortable Frowner

Been to dr's for blood test for anemia today. Had several more funny turns where I feel I might faint, its horrible. bp was a little low again today. I'm so glad I've got a bp monitor cos I can immediately put it down to low bp if thats the case. Anyway should get results tomorrow.

Angel, what a bloody nightmare at your appointment. You did well to keep your cool. I'm glad you got to see your midwife, I hope its done the trick!

Sezzy, hip hip hooray to being on mat leave. I bet you feel so happy.

Wondering if any of the other ladies who have had shows etc have had/are having their baby's???

Anyway thats all I can muster. I'm not sleeping well at all and am feeling permanently shattered so off to bed soon and will try to watch the Heroes finale.

K x

Morning mums, tums and babies! HOw are we all today? Any babies on the way? Angel, sounds like you might be next again - I wish you girls would make your mind up and form an orderly queue LOL!! Big Grin How am I meant to keep track of who to send positive labour vibes to?!! Oh well, I'll just send lots of positive labour vibes to Angel, Babyno5, Kirsten and Jess jsut in case (((((((((VIBES))))))))))))))

Hi Emzieh and welcome! I'm due on 1 August, it's DH and my first baby and we're really excited! We don't know what we're having. Love the name Alexander BTW.

Kate, how are you now? HOw awful to be having funny turns so late in the day. Really hope you managed a better night's sleep last night hun.

As for me, first day of maternity leave and I woke up at 7:45am!! Well I suppose it's a bit of a lie-in as I normally get up at 7am. Yesterday, in fact the whole week, were hideous in work but never mind, it's all over now! Mind you, you know I've said I have two assignements to write now for the next module of my MSc? Well I'd started the first one but was thn focused on finishing my projects in work. Have just picked it back up and realised it was due on 30 June - ooops! Ah well, it's only worth 25% overall. The tutor's nice, he might let me off and let me submit it late I hope. Still, I thought I was done with the stresses of deadlines for a while!

Have already done one load of washing and have another in, am off for a pedicure and massage at 11am then meeting the girls for a late lunch this afternoon - bliss!

Have a good day everyone. WOnder if Pobs will be sent home today?????

xxx

hi all!

how's it going? nothing new here! bet some of you thought i'd given birth by now. no such luck. i see a lot of you have started or are about to! well, i guess they were wrong when they said they thought i would go early but now they're saying it looks like i'll go to full term, if not over (please no!) the doctor told me they won't induce me until 41+5! omg! don't think i can hang in there that long as i'm so0o0 uncomfortable now! it's so hard to deal with the heat. plus my feet are so swollen all i can wear is flip flops and i have to keep them up most of the day. i've also been so tired because i've grown so big. all i can say is, i'm pretty ready to go. just got the crib and room set up. washed ALL his new clothes and sheets, etc. i guess i'm going through the nesting stage! love cleaning at this point. get VERY upset over the littlest things: such as cups on the table when i've just unloaded the dishwasher, the smell of urine (my little brother still pees on the floor-yuck!), when someone messes with my food, even when my bed was made up for the day and my BF messes it up/crinkles in the smallest way! very odd i know. people keep telling me stories about how their labor went, and how awful it is, but it doesn't scare me one bit. i'm ready! what about you?

some of you are so lucky you have your due dates picked out so you know you won't have to go overdue and know exactly when to be ready! i'm jealous! i tried to ask my doctor if there's anything i can do if i'm even 1 day over, but no such luck. it's just so hard to bear. but it's almost over so i guess i shouldn't be complaining. will be happy as long as my babys ok Smiler

anyway sorry to complain jsut wanted to let you all know that i'm still here and thinking of you all. ttyl!
