Well i am absolutley cream crackered today, didn't get much sleep at all last night, my hips hurt sooo much and just cant get comfy.. Then i was scared to go bk to sleep coz DH keeps kicking and hitting me,(in his sleep lol!) Got it in the lower back the other night and just kept thinking if i was facing him it would of been the baby that copped it, so i am trying not to sleep facing him, which is painful as i need to turn with my hips hurting!! Anyhow, just got back from kids sports day, they are upset because they are always last but i just give them a big hug and kiss and tell them its not the winning that counts its the taking part.. and how proud i am of them! Was miffed to find out that a friend that is was due sames time as me and several others had her baby on saturday.. boo hoo.. she was MAHOOOOSIVE and baby only weighed 7lb 8oz, quite shocked actually! so maybe ther is some kinda truth in what you are saying Amy!!
sezzy.. Too true what uou are saying!! I am frantically wiping to the point of soreness willing a 'bloody' show!! although ive had several mucous ones i wont be happy til i see that blood streaked one! but then maybe i wont get it til the birth, or maybe its plopped down the loo already lol!!! sorry if thats vile but, well, there are worse things to come over the next few weeks for us! no point in beating about the 'bush' !!
pobs..so sorry to hear of your family loss, but i am also a firm believer in when someone passes, another is born.. ((((hugs))) you must be sooo nervous but excited now, i bet you can hardly believe its time already.. what you gonna be like tomorrow eh??!!! cant wait!
Babyno5.. Are you in labour? you only had 1cm more to go to active labour.. let us know anyways.. will they let you deliver of try and stop it again? hope all is well.
Jess.. How are you? What did MW have to say? let us know whats happening!!! They say it is normal for baby to quiet down about this stage for you, i know this lil fella did but he went from one extreme to the other and it scared me, he didn't move much at all in the 3 days before i told MW which is why i spent the best part of that week on the monitor.. which got him moving again, but i still feel uneasy about how quiet he is now, and wont feel happy til he is safely out!
Kirsten.. anything happening with you? Has the bleeding settled or are you having our 1st thread baby!!??
Well i cant think of anything else, kate, Amy, paula, pj, Ualreadykno, kirsty, meadow, hope you are all ok, keep us updated!!!
OMG,, Its July tomorrow!! Our offical starting thread day!! I cant believe its our turn! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE..
Great minds think alike eh pobs!! ha, ha, well, we get 2 charts today then!!! never mind! I am off for a power nap then i will do some tea.. kids off playing out so they are in no hurry!
back later maybe,
Emma. x

Hi to Paula, PJ girl, meadow, Kirsti and ulreadyknow. hope you are all well.
Sorry for not coming back on yesterday as promosed. I had a few funny turns while shopping and kept thinking I was gonna faint. I felt no better when i got home or all evening, just really lightheaded, tired and sick and took my bp which was low. Still feel a bit off today although bp back to normal so after speaking to midwife on phone I've got a blood test booked on Thurs to test my iron count again.
Well bubs is moving about lots this afternoon, getting loead of twinges and cringey sensations downstairs. I'm really hoping its cos she's head down now, wont find out til next tues though
Anyway signing off now, will check tomorrow for any news!!!

Angel lol at your term beating about the bush - very apt lol . Well for those of us having a vaginal birth.
I'm with you on the hip pain, its horrible isn't it. My sleeping had gone to pot. I'm either waking to pee, sort Ben out or change position cos my hips ache.

Hi girls. Well first official day of mat leave today and could i think of things to do. NO I was just going to relax for my first day and i couldn't stand the thought of it so i went in to town at 9. Sorted out my sister's wedding pressie so i don't have to worry about that. I even got her card and wrapping paper. Then my mum and dad phoned to see if i wanted to go for lunch then my mum came back to mine for a chat. So it turned out this day has flown by. Just waiting for dh to get home at half seven then i have company again. I suppose i am just not used to it and will quickly adapt but i am finding it weird that i don't have work for over 9 months!
Sezzy- Oh how cute is that man in the shop giving you a cushion. I am loving the thought of being off work cause it means it is getting closer to meeting our baby but i must admit i have found today a bit surreal it really just feels like a day off and i will be going back in soon. Better have a reality check! That is so true about the pant watching i so never wanted to see it before and now i can't wait!
Angel- It was a shame about that film it was good until it just ended. The same people that make Lost made that so they were trying to be all different with it. They better not end Lost like it though!
Babyno5- Oh my god a show but it still looks like we are all going to make it into July at least!
Kirsten- How exiting for you as well. That def sounds just like a show my friend had bits of her's come away for a few days and all was fine her water's went slightly and she just went into labour 2 days early. Good luck if you have baby before you come on again.
Pobs- I have loads of things that i want to do in my head but i don't want to go and do them all in one week then have nothing to do after especially if i am late. Baby clothes are on next weeks list of things to wash though. Oh and i am having Spag Bol tonight not so exiting but you gotta love the old originals. Haagan Daas was lush though we had Belgian Chocolate and we ate the whole tub in one go. I am surprised i am not the size of a house i have put on 1 stone 10 pounds now i don't think that is too bad. I blame the diarrhoea i have had throughout and the iron tablets don't help either! I will def be back on tomorrow to wish you well and check in how you are feeling i can't believe you will meet her so soon. So sorry to hear about your friend though hun.
Jessley- Oh my god has anyone actually still got their plug. What is going on! What did the midwife say? I find my little man has crazy days when he moves loads the goes quite for a couple of days. But my midwife says that as long as you count 10 movements in 12 hours all is ok. That includes if it is all at the same time.
Kate- Sounds like you might just need some iron tablets. I naturally have low blood pressure and don't eat much red meat and i think it does make you a bit woozy. But the iron tablets sort you out i still take them but just much less now. The black poo they give you is not nice though. I am the same again with my legs hurtign i had a while of relief from it but since he turned to head down postion it has come back. Which ever leg i sleep on goes dead in an hour so every hour i have to manoeuvre onto the other one. But at least now if i haven't slept i can have power naps in the day.
Anyway off to make my spag bol so hope everyone i haven't mentioned is well. I have a feeling we are going to see some labour action within the next few days or maybe you lot are just holding them in until i can be arsed to do my predictions. Lots of love. Amy. xxxxxxxx

C-SECTION 15TH JULY!!!
Posts: 129 | Location: United Kingdom | Registered: 02 December 2005
Me again... keep logging on to see if our thread has gained a little person. What am I going to do when in hospital??? I won't know whats going on. Hopefully i'll be home Friday, although DF thinks thats wishful thinking on my part. We have got to be at the hospital at 10.30am tomorrow for my pre assessment then home again til 7.30am Wednesday. The Dr's surgery phoned me at 6 tonight to say that the swabs they took on the labour ward have shown I have an infection so I have to have a pessary tomorrow, I hope it doesn't mean they will put my c section on hold, shouldn't do should it?? its not as if is exiting that way. I'm feeling a mixture of excitment and nerves, felt quite emotional earlier talking to my mum about it as its still a major operation but sooooo happy I get to hold her soon and can't wait to see DF hold her for the first time... oh god i'm welling up again now so will leave it there.
Angel LOL at us doing chart at the same time, great minds think alike hay??? Men and their sleeping habits....my DF was shouting and trying to fight a lobster off of his face that apparently Gordon Ramsey had placed there at 5am this morning....mental case!!!! Hope your hips/pelvis give you a break tonight and let you have a good nights sleep.
Amy.....I was the same when I finished work, feels werid doesn't it?? I kept saying to DF I felt as if I shouldn't go out the house, like I was skiving from work and pulling a sicky LOL. How lovely you got to have lunch with your parents though. Me and Df like to share a pot of our friends Mr Ben and Mr Jerry...spag bowl hay???.....mmmmmm maybe tomorrow LOL
Kate.....I hope you begin to feel better soon, I suffer from low bP, not nice is it? Sending you lots of head down vibes for your appointment next week.
Kirsti.....15 days and counting for you then matey, werid knowing the date isn't it, I haven't found it any the less exciting though as I think people would expect it to be. I look forward to swaping c section stories xx
Sezzy...Hope you're not feeling too pooped tonight hun....2 working days ...you can do it!!!!((hugs))
waves to Kirsten, babyno5 and Jess..are those ickle babies on their way!!!!!!
Right off to find something to eat as i'm really hungry..... AGAIN
will be back tomorrow for my last post as a pregnant woman
hugs Pobs xxxx

C-SECTION 15TH JULY!!!
Posts: 129 | Location: United Kingdom | Registered: 02 December 2005
Morning all! Happy first of July and first day of our due-in thread!
Pobs, I hope I have caught you before you go AWOL to have your little girl, I will be thinking about you tomorrow from 7:30am onwards all day, sending you excellent c-section vibes (((((((Vibes)))))))) there's a few to get you going. Sure there's nothing wrong with there being an infection 'down there', they just like to know about these things don't they? LOL at the lobster story! I have demoted DH to the spare room, it was getting ridiculous, what with him and his turning over and whacking me (Angel - you get that too don't you?) and me and my 'turning the supertanker' grunts and groans everytime I needed to change position or get up for a wee, it was getting ridiculous. I must admit, I feel like we're about 90, being in separate beds, but it's given us both a bit of well earned rest. Perhaps I will let him back in when I'm on mat leave. But then again, perhaps not LOL!!
Good luck lovely, can't believe you'll be bringing your little girl home by the weekend. Awesome.
man, I'm filling up now lOL!!
This thread has got busy all of a sudden hasn't it?! It was quiet for months in the middle but now every day there's an extra page!
Kirsti, how cool taht you too know when you are having your baby - wow, 15 July will fly by. 37+6 is a great time to have him too.
Amy, LOL, you sound like me - and Pobs for that matter - can't rest, it's too boring!! LOL!!! I've got a huge list of stuff I want to do starting from Friday, DH thinks I'm nuts! He could happily sit on the sofa watching sport for the whole day, it would drive me demented. Mind you, my day on Friday is hardly challenging.... I've got a massage and pedicure booked at 11am then I'm meeting my girl friends for a late lunch as they're all on annual leave after Glastonbury. And I have to ring the nursery shop about picking up the pram and car seats. LOL, that's the sort of day I could have more of! My most difficult decision about Friday is whether to extend my beautician's appointment to include a wax!! So how are you doing with Day 2 of your mat. leave? Any more chilled yet? I know, you could get going on those predictions! I reckon you could be pretty close with a few of them LOL, hmmm, let's see,,, I'm predicting 2 July for Pobs, 15 July for Kirsti, and Angel, Jess and Babyno5 you gotta get close to!
Kate, how awful about the funny turns, hope you got looked after. I've started with the twinges and cringey feelings down there too, does this mean that the head is engaging?? Or is that wishful thinking on my part? Hope you managed to get more sleep last night, I keep imagining my knackeredness multiplied by a toddler and wincing on your behalf!
Angel - with you on the DH lashng out thing. Glad you're feeling a bit more chilled about the whole baby size thing, it will be fine I'm sure, he'll be a nice easy-to-pop-out 8lb something, you watch.
Babyno5, Kirsten, Jess - any more news from you girls? Any new mums or mums-again been made overnight?
Well, sorry I've run out of time to type any more, we are a busy lot now and i got up early to finish this report and have spent half an hour typing to you lot LOL! I'll be back on to make up for short-posting - if not today then defo tomorrow.
Hiya! Well day 2 for me is going with my sis to have her wedding hair trial my friend is doing it she specialises in wedding hair so i know she will do a good job. Had a bad night's sleep last night for a change! My legs were actually not too bad but i had a bad tummy and diarrhoea this morning and at 3 until about 4.30 i was up very uncomfortable. Does anyone else get that really bloated feeing sometimes like a giant fart is brewing but it has no where to go so it just makes you feel like you are going to explode.
Kirsti- How exiting that you have an actual date that your baby is coming i wish i did in a way i hate not being in control of stuff. And how is it possible not to like Spag Bol it is so good. Your dh is crazy! But then again my dh hates cheese and i think that is wrong.
Pobs- I am so exited for you. I think your little one is going to be the first Jul/Aug thread baby now. You must have all sorts going through your head at the moment i know i would. Can you believe we have got this far! I'll try and check on later again. But if i don't best of luck and we'll all be checking up on you so come on asap. Ooh on the Ben and Jerry's have you ever tried Chocolate fudge brownie it is to die for!
Sezzy- I also had a huge list of things to do but they all involved being in the house and i just felt like i needed to get out for a few days whilst i still feel like it. And i really struggle to stay still unless i am absolutely knackered. I think my washing machine has been on constantly since the weekend. No baby stuff just curtains and nets my house has literally never been so comforty smelling.
Well my nursery is pretty much completed now all the snug as a bug stuff is in place and the cotbed made up. Everything washed except the baby clothes which i am saving for next week. My mum cried when she saw it! So all to do now is make up the crib and order my rocking chair which MIL is buying me for my birthday. Oh and naughty me still hasn't packed my hospital bag yet. I need a couple more front opening nighties and then i can get packing when i have got a decent sized bag of my mum. Try and get back on later. Amy. xxxxxxxxxxx

POBS!, Good luck hun, we have been saying not long for ages but its finally here now! Sure it will all be fine, you will be kept up all night for all the right reasons!! Its not quite fair that when you can sleep baby says, oh no mummy, not now!! (Sophie still not great sleeper!)
Take care and let me know!! xxxx
ps us girls on jan 08 thread exchanged mobile numbers on msn and all seemed to go into hospital within few days of each other so texts were really great way to keep on top of who had babies!
good luck for tomorrow hun, and depending on how you are healing -Friday going home is perfectly possible! I had DD on a weds via emergency c-secion at 11:59am and left friday early afternoon... although to be fair I appear to have healed quicker than anyone else I know who had a c-section... I was doing 100 situps at 5 weeks post op! The HV let me try in the end as I pointed out the exercises you are given I could do the day I had her!
Good luck to all of you who are MIA possibly with Babies!
