Hiya girls. Well i am officially on maternity leave now! For a few weeks i am a lady of leisure and i intend to enjoy every minute of it. Pobs- My border is now in the nursery so i can get the rest of the stuff in there now that is my first job for my maternity leave. I'll be washing it all and wiping all the furniture over and i can't wait. Oh my god Pobs 5 more sleeps! Hi Lea abd Billy so nice of you to pop over and check up on us from time to time. Kirsten- Sorry the little lady isn't making any progress but it might happen al of a sudden you never know. I am going to prepare myself to be late and anything else is a plus. Sezzy- Can't wait for you to finish aswell it is such a nice feeling to think i can relax or clean every day whatever i feel like i'm on mat leave! Thursday will come round quick. Everyone kept saying oh my god it's your last day Amy and i kept telling them to stop cause it's all to real now. Next thing is a baby! Angel- How nice of people to pop on and put your mind at rest. You have absolutely no control over his size so try and take it easy. Easy for me to say i know but you are hardcore if anyone can pop out a 10 pounder it's you girl! Thank god i copy this post before the site just crashed or i would have been really annoyed! Speak to you all later as me and dh have dvd National Treasure 2 a big pizza and some Haagan Daas! Amy. x Me- 28 DH-26 Ciaran Jacob was born Thursday 10th July at 10.38am. Weighing 7lb2oz.

Hello ladies. Well Parentcraft was useful but then we did 2 hours in Asdas and I had to leave DH in the aisles and go and sit in the cafe cos I was knackered and my back was killing. I was stooped over the counter whilst queuing wih my drink, trying to unkink my back, and the young lad behind the counter asked me if I was alright or going into labour LOL! Anyway, I was just sat there minding my own business when he came over 5 minutes later with a cushion from Homewares! Bless him! Am knackered still, tried to sleep when we got home but couldn't, boo. Ah well, I'll be having an easy night of it... before our 5:45am start tomorrow.... then four more days in work.... sorry for whinging, I'm just so tired today and totally out of energy and enthusiasm. Amy - WOOHOOO to you finishing work hun! What a feeling!! You must be well chuffed. COme on lots now, you can keep my spirits up LOL! Mmmm... haagen daas sounds nice.... but am trying to be a bit healthier today as had very fat and sugar filled tea last night. Which included an M&S Toffee Supreme dessert - looks like a Sundae; with cream, toffee mousse, flapjack lumps and toffee sauce by the bucket load. Man, my mouth is watering just thinking about it! IKWYM about it getting all too real now. When the mw in parentcraft said you know when it's real labour when you can't speak through the contractions cos of the pain I thought "shít!! This baby's coming out soon and it's gonna hurt!!" Not sure I'd worked that one out yet lOL!! Pobs - 4 MORE SLEEPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not long now!!! Are you having a busy weekend? Angel - you sound a bit more like yourself lovely. Good. HOpefully your little man will be putting in his appearance soon and it will be all smooth sailing for you. Yeah, work's getting me down really, it's really hard at the mo, I have to get all my projects to draft report stage before I can hand them over and that's loads of work to do 3 at the same time, let alone when I'm pg. This might soiund like a daft q, but how did you make friends when you had Abbie? I don't have any friends with kids so I'm worried I'll be a bit isolated so any tips on where to meet new mums who are Billy No Mates like me would be great! Hi to the rest of you, don't think anyone else has been on since my last couple of posts?? All off having babies??!! LOL, or just having cool weekends. xxx

We watched cloverfield on wednesday night, how dissappointed was I with the ending never mind.. Well i have been a busy bee this morning cleaned top to bottom of house again.. it was a little more hard work this time, i gave it a good going over just over a week ago, but i feel a lot heavier now, hopefully the troops will help to keep it tidy til i have had him now.. I keep telling them i am not coming home from hospital to a pig-sty, i just want to get my pj's on and get my duvet and snuggle on sofa with bubs! (erm, thats what i do everytime!!) soooo, not long now! been having really strong BH's today so hoping i wont last the week, DH said he will come on the 5th!! I told him I AM NOT GOING OVERDUE!! I am in clinic on thursday to see consultant, and i dont think they will let me go over, (wishful thinking!) Gotta go now and get these kiddies to bed, I missed my afternoon nap today and i am sooo tired so will be having an early night me thinks. Shall be back tomorrow, Emma.x well i gotta

Hi just thought i'd pop on and update as i've been in hospital since thursday evening when i had my show!!!!!!! Had threatened pre-term labour so had the usual steroids and tablets to stall the labour, but they didnt work. So had my stitch removed Friday morning as my fantastic consultant didnt want me tearing. However after 30 mins puffing on gas and air she still couldnt remove the stitch as it had become embedded, so i had to have a spinal block and after another 10 mins it was out. After removal she said that i am fully effaced and 3cms dilated! Monitored all day and contractions died off.I didnt realise that this could happen. They wanted me to stay in hospital until bubs is born which could potentially be another 5 weeks so after argueing that i could not stay in hosp as i have another baby at home that also needs his mummy they agreed and let me out saturday afternoon. So i am in 'labour' supposedly but other than an incredibly heavy groin area and bum ache? Nothings really happening?! This is so confusing, what do you guys reckon is gonna happen? Sorry its all me me me provided baby doesnt arrive today i'll be back 2moro. Angel sorry you are still 'here' so to speak. Here's hoping the scan measurements are incorrect hun

hey all - sorry i havent been on either! well after my swabs being taken on thurs, had a bit of backache fri night, i got up to go to the loo yesterday (satdy) morning, a wiped a blood clot - so i rang hospital and they told me to go straight in - which i did, they examined me and found a show up there (sorry tmi) and that i was 1cm dilated! they didnt say much about the bleeding just to keep an eye on it and sent me home. So now its just a waiting game! have been having really strong braxton hicks, after saying i havent had any haha! and a few aches and pains! the only thing is im still loosing some of my show and little clots of blood and bits of blood - is this normal? love kirsten xxx

OMG..talk about lull before a storm!!! Babyno5.., well, well, looks like you may be the 1st by the sounds of things!! FULLY effaced and 1cm eh? well at least they will be ready for you. You have done really well to get this far hunny.. and you did say you felt like your body was fighting the stitch!! Re; bum ache i tend to get that during the night before i get a heavy day contracting lol!! If that makes sense?? as for the heavy groin.. ive had that for weeks, and weeks and weeks.. oh my god, cant wait til its over Good luck !! kirsten..After you saying things weren't happening then hey presto!! Like Amy said it could just all suddenly happen.. There can be quite a lot of blood in a show- so i believe, i had quite a lot when i got my show with Abbie, I dont like the sound of the blood clots though, have the hospital seen them? dont want to alarm anyone but i didn't think bleeding was good.. if it carries on i'd go back, good luck! Sezzy.. Ah, you billy no mates, nah dont think so! not for long anyways!! I have to say i cant honestly remember how you get started it just kind of evolves lol! You might make friends in hospital, i made a couple from our antenatal class and then stayed in touch after babies were born (they are actually all in school together now anyway) then i went to breastfeeding club, which was just a really relaxed morning of drinking coffee/tea and catching up, that was only the 1st thurs of every month and i kinda lost track with that as it was pretty slow, then there was just the normal stopping and chatting to other mums in street and shops that you see locally but dont really 'know', after i had jordan i still didn't know that many people but it was my now BF that asked me around for a coffee and we just clicked! there are only 10 days between the boys and you find loads to talk about even if you dont have much in common! kids will always get the conversation flowing!! God, have i just wrote an essay?? Dont worry about it, it will happen, failing that, i'll jump on a train and come visit you lol!!!!!! Hope its not too wet for your carboot.. i was gonna go just for the walk but its peeing it down Anywaaay, DH just got up and he is cracking his whip and getting kids to tidy their paper and pencils up and i hate it.. so off for a domestic now prob! will pop bk later to see if anything is hotting up, what's everyone else up to? hope you are having nice lazy weekends, I am, we are all still in our Pj's, oh, what the hell, its sunday!! hopefully my last sunday to be preggers!! yay! Emma. x

morning, no its the afternoon now isn't it!!! Well how exciting to log on and see so much baby activity starting...looks like we could be like the june thread...lots of babies all at once. I'm so excited for you all girls. Dear Kirsten....Had just read your post from friday and was going to say the same as Amy..it could just happen and it looks like it is. SO it could be anytime now then hun, although like Angel said I would keep an eye on those clots. I only had a show with DS, I remember it was in the morning and I got really excited...the labour started a few hours later. Sending you lots of good labour vibes and hugs ((())) Angel....Sounds like you were busy nesting like me yesterday...house doesn't stay clean and tidy for long though does it when you have other children LOL (or a dog that leaves hair everywhere!!!) I have everything crossed that you don't go overdue hun...would be sods law after all your scares wouldn't it?? I plan to laze as of Friday also....well I hope to be home lazing by Friday!!!! Sofa, quilt and new baby YAY!!!!! Hope you have a peaceful day. Sezzy..... How sweet was the bloke bringing you a cushion. My friend is heavily pregnant and broke down on a busy roundabout the other day..in rush hour. She was stood by the car trying to flag someone down and not one bugger stopped to help her..nice to hear there is some caring folk out there. IKWYM about it all becoming real...I still can't get my head around the fact that I will have 3 children as of Wednesday. I sit there looking at her little cot etc but just can't believe there will be a ickle baby sleeping in there this time next week, especially when I think back to how different things were this time last year, me and DF were jsut coming to terms with my MC. Sending you lots of energy vibes to get through today and your last week hun....I know you really are ready to finish now, The week will be over soon matey..you can do it!!!!!! Babyno5...... Well another baby trying to make their way into the world then??? You poor thing having to go through all that with your stitch. I have everything crossed for an easy labour for you hunny. You and baby have done so well to get this far and its good that you have had some pre warning with your show so they have had time at the hospital to give you all the injections etc you needed. Will be thinking of you xxx Amy...Congrats on becoming a woman of leasure hun. I warn you I was full of plans of what I was going to do but for the first few days I just ended up sleeping...think it was my body knowing it was time to wind down. Its been lovely washing all baby's clothes and packing bags etc so you have all that to look forward to now. Can you please stop telling us of your delightful dinners too....I really fancy some nice ice cream now LOL (had the pizza last night too) Hope I haven't missed anyone...ooo Kate, waving hello. Hope Ben is over his eye infection. I'm feeling quite crampy myself today and very heavy down below. Still not dressed, had a bad night last night (tmi) have terrible piles that are sooo sore at the minute as ive had such an upset stomach. My MIL is all excited as apparently an upset stomach can be a sign labour is going to start, I think its just nreves about Wednesday myself !!! off to have a nice soak in the bath. have a good day girls, love Pobs xxxx

Hi jess, thanks for the pre congrats....although you could still beat me, a "Show" hay, you know its all going to happen soon then hun. My baby has been quieter too the last few days, its normal hun as long as you are still feeling your ten kicks...thats what MW told me. It does say in my baby book that they tend to go quiet before labour starts, not sure if anyone would agree, like you I can't remeber much, my youngest is 10!!! GOOD LUCK TOO YOU incase baby decides to come while i'm off having baby. well 3 more sleeps!!!!! off to watch "The verve" live on tv from Glastonbury. How funny. It just occurred to me on one of my many loo-breaks in work today, that we have come full circle. When we first found out we were pregnant, we all anxiously pant-watched like mad, looking for the awful signs of blood . Now I, and probably the rest of you, are pant-watching like mad looking for the fantastic sign of a show Hope you are all cool, am making my way slowly through my third and final report with only 3 days and 2 hours of work left to do And I got feedback from the first report I did today, the client is very happy apart from a few minor changes and clarification needed More later or tomorrow xxx
