Hiya girlies.
Another day of work less now! Cool
I work 4 days a week so i now have 7 days to go!
I can't wait then i can get nesting. Big Grin
I want to clean everything and i am so looking forward to washing all the baby clothes. Roll Eyes

Sezzy- I bought a bar of Cadbury's for my dh on Sunday from the bump i couldn't resist i told him he would get something better next year from his son! Smiler
I ended up munching on most of it mind!
Cloverfield was good but it had a shit ending i hate it when that happens. Mad

Angel- I can't sympathise with the hayfever as i have never had it but my dh gets it,it must be shit not to be able to take much for it. Frowner
But at least you got some bargains in the car boot especially if they are immaculate.
Like i was saying to Sezzy we really liked Cloverfield but they just left the ending a bit disappointing like questions unanswered.
Bit like Lost i suppose!
We share our car and we have about £30 in at the mo i am only using it for getting to work and back which is only a 10 minute drive so we are just going to make do.

Anyway got the rest of my maternity pads for my bag.
The ones in Mothercare are so expensive so i took Angel's advice and bought some in a superstore.
I went with Kotex night and it says on the back they can be used for childbirth.
Off to town Wedsnasday for nursing bras as the underwire on these are really digging into me now. Eeker
Ooh and my MIL phoned the other day to ask what else we needed so she is getting us baby monitor's too.
And she asked if i would like my Rocking Chair for my birthday!
I said hell yeah. Big Grin
Has anyone seen how little there are left to give birth on the May/Jun thread!
We are up next girls. Scary!
Speak soon.
Amy. x

Evening girlies,

Been a bit quiet on here - only Angel and Amy since my last post on Sunday - mind you, you two can 'talk' for Britain anyway hehehehehehehe!

Amy, your bump looks lovely - and your 3D scan pics are gorgeous, but baby Hale seems a bit shy LOL! How big is your bump? I measured mine a couple of weeks ago and I was 45.5cm round the widest part, 42.5cm around what used to be my waist. Eeker i'm having trouble uploading pics but I've got some new bump shots to upload when I fix this blumming PC. Blimey, can't believe you only have 7 working days, how cool is that?! I've got 13 more days. I'm feeling a bit calmer this week as I renegotiated a pile of deadlines wiht my boss and the clients. The downside is my boss has now said I 'shouldn't' go to the two day dossy conference, if I'm that busy, so I actually have to do 13 more days in work boo. Never mind!

Angel, thanks for the 'tempting fate' reassurance, I think I listen to my mother too much, she's sooo superstitious. CAn't believe you got up at 5am and made £6, that sucks. Are you feeling any better now? Sounds like you're getting run down and trying to do too much. Can't believe you ahven't had your baby yet, seems I'm no great shakes at this prediction lark, I think I'll leave that to Amy LOL!! Amy, perhaps you should predict us all when our babies will come seeing as you were so spot on with the gender! Angel, have you got your hayfever sussed yet? I am currently maxing out the sodium cromoglicate, vaseline up the nose and wrap-round shades and fingers crossed I seem to be more or less on top of it. and LOL, I bet I don't get a baby shower for my fourth baby! They're only making a fuss of me cos they all know they'll get it back when they have babies in the future LOL!!

As for me, well, as you can see from the post I'm a bit calmer and more chilled again now work and hayfever are back in control. Baby's bag and my bag are now fully packed; birth plan's written; all washing done and Moses basket set washed (we borrowed it) and I'm on the raspberry leaf tea, so I think I'm done. YOu might think I'm being a bit over-eager, but all the women in my family have their babies early, even the first borns, like two or three weeks early, so this little 'un could be putting in an appearance in less than four weeks. I hope so anyway!!! We also have big babies so I don't want to go to term or be overdue, ouch!!

Hope the rest of you mums and tums are okay out there. Pobs! You're off work now young lady, come and post!

Oooh - and my exam results are due this week - eek!!

Sezzy, Its not gross or anything (apart from a 12 year old getting chocolate all over her face lol!!) Just weird to see a professional agree letting their kids eat shit every day!
I have to confess though, i had a food phobia when i was 11 til i was 15 and it went away when i left home (where all the stress was) and i sorted it out when i was ready to.. so i agree with what they are saying, it must be horrible to go through it with your own kids..
Annnnyyywaaayyy,..
Feel not too bad at the mo, very snotty, dunno if thats hayfever, cold or both, also had this sickening pain in my right side/back for the last few days... no position relieves it, so ive just had paracetamol again, and hopefully i will get some sleep!

hows you? what you up to ?

Morning all,

Have been trying to post for last couple of days but everytime I hit the reply button it makes a funny noise but won't let me post!!!! seems ok now though, typical though when i'm now offically a free woman....YAY!!!!

Anyway this is just a quick "hello i'm still here" post for now as off to town with a friend for lunch in a minute, just wanted to check no babies have appeared.

Thought our baby was on her way last night, was suffering with terrible backache all day then at about 7pm started getting contractions every 15 mins, quite painful...was having to breathe through them, this carried on untill abouot 10pm then they stopped...poor DF was soooo disapointed. Have been up on the sofa since 3am though still with backache. Can't believe this baby will come early though as both my others were over 2 weeks late. I think I probably just over did the spring cleaning yesterday.

hugs to you all and I'll be back on to do personals a little later.

love for now Pobs xx

Hi ladies, just a quickie.

Need to catch up on the posts, you lot have been so chatty the last couple of days!!!

I'm recovering from a uti, it was awful I've never had one before and don't even want to again. Was constantly needing the loo but couldn't empty my bladder properly and at one point was getting up 6-8 times in the night. Seems better now but just been back to dr's today as I was worried about discharge so they did a swab for GBS which was really uncomfortable and made me bleed Frowner so I was on the phone to DH crying. Its stopped now, anyway off to the hospital for physio this afternoon as my hips are quite bad again.

Had Ben checked over too as his glands in his neck have been up for a month or so. Turns out his tonsils are inflamed so that explains it. I won't tell you what was going through my mind but is every parents worst nightmare so I'm very relieved.

Have started packing my hospital bag. Got a gross lilac nightshirt from peacocks for £6 but it covers bump and my modisty so will do the job. Just got ultra thin maternity pads and then always ultra, they were fine last time and I'm not keen on those bricks they give you at the hospital lol. And of course the good old disposible knickers. Going to get the rest of the bits this week then think about my birth plan when I get the GBS results back. Will find out if madam is breech in 3 weeks. I must say its pants when you've already had a baby cos you hardly get to see the midwife. Since booking in I've only seen her at 16 and 28 weeks.

Anyway have rambled on enough, hope you are ok. I see Jessley has posted, nice to hear from you.

Pobs don't hope you have a nice lunch, I must admit you are brave going out after nearly going into labour last night. I wonder who will be forst, Angel or Pobs ???

Sezzy and Angel, how's your hayfever today? mines suddenly appeared and my eyes and nose are streaming today.

right need to go blow my nose! bye for now x x x

Evening ladies..

well i feel ultra ill today,
ill enough to go to doctors.. he reckons i have ulcers in my throat..the sort you get in your mouth and on tongue apparently they are more common in pg (WTF??) I think its tonsilitus and he just didn't want to give me antibiotics, feels like ive been smacked across the face with a cricket bat.. Frowner
Sooooo, while i was there i asked if he could please give me something for my hayfever, Roll Eyes and to my surprise he gave me a spray for my nose and my usual drops for my eyes (Raptil) Cant say i think much of the spray but then again ive only had one dose of it..
hoping i feel better tomorrow as ive been in bed all day, and just getting up to get kids from school etc,.. Frowner
I have noticed though that this baby has gone pretty quiet the last week or so, so i am going to make a determined effort to note them down tomorrow.. anyone ele, pobs, kirsten? have you noticed any change in movements? I'm thinking of it as a positive thing and its just baby conserving energy for his journey to my arms!!!! Big Grin

Sezzy.. I forgot about you last night after i posted so its just as well you didn't reply, i went 'next door' and read the last 4 pages on may/june thread.. OMG, its hard to imagine its gonna be us in a couple of weeks..COUPLE OF WEEKS!!!!!!! Eeker Eeker
YAY to only 12 days left! So if baby comes early are you going to be ready in time!!? you need at least a couple weeks of maternity to chill before he/she arrives!

pobs.. That happens with me a lot when i do a post and cant post it.. this site is still not right..
OMG, how exciting for you to be gearing up for labour already! What would they do if you went into full labour? would it be an emergency section?
Hope you had a lovely lunch with your friend.. you 'lady of leisure'!!

Kate..Hope you are recovering from your UTI now, it really is painful isn't it, i'm usually pretty good at picking up on them by now and get loads of water down my neck to flush it out at the 1st signs- touch wood.. i haven't had one this pg, IKWYM about it being every parents worst nightmare, Holly is always doing it to me, and you never get used to it eh? its just as scary every time, at least you know now and he can get better for you!
Glad you getting started on bag packing, I would have the thin always over the bricks anyday but our midwives here are very particular about using the bricks, and as i am very prone to post-partum infections its safer for me to use them as the thin ones aparently breed bacteria under the 'protective layer'.. although after the 1st couple of weeks when the 'flow' lol, settles i will be back to my thinnies!! I have a stash of them ready lol! (great subject or what!!)
Well i hope your Swab comes back all clear, they told me in the hospital when i went in i had an infection just purely going of the amount of discharge i had.. i knew i didn't have one as i wasn't in pain or anything and the following week it came bk clear so they cant always say eh? I know its summat different with you but you may be ok?! Thats a bit bad aswell that they made you bleed, did they really scrape you or something?? its hurts enough as it is without being that rough!!! Eeker

well, i'm gonna sort these kiddies for bed and settle down with Dh, he's gone to look for cloverfield..whether he comes bk with it is another story!! easily distacted he is,
oooh, baby on the move, god he is strong now when he kicks..
Obviously the pineapple did naff all aswell eh? So i'm guessing he just isn't ready.. so much to half the street deciding for me that i wont make it another week!! hahhha, we will see! I think i'm going to term ladies!!

((((((WAVING)))))))) to everyone else, Smiler

TTFN,
Emma x

Hi all

Sorry i haven't updated since my last post on Thursday, been busy managed to upload a couple of pics yest then meant to post but got side tracked!

Anyway, had scan on Friday and baby is measuring 3 weeks ahead OMG! My fluid levels are also slightly raised, but not so much so that they are concerned-thank god!I'd read all sorts about too much water.

So, as he's a whopper there's talk of removing my stitch a couple of weeks early as they really dont want me going into labour with my stitch in as it could mess up my insides rather significantly. So i've got another scan on Tuesday and then we'll know what the new plan is. I'm hoping they'll remove it asap as i'm in pain with every movement now and im sure its due to my body fighting against my stitch as my SPD's rectified itself and its a different sort of pain, like a tugging, achy feeling.

On the plus side he looked soooo cute on the scan bless him chompsing on his fist.

Sorry for me post post but just popped on quickly to let you know if you wondered what happened last week.

Hope you are all well...not long now Big Grin

Married for 6 1/2 yrs to my gorgeous dh, 2 wonderful ds's, mummy of angels
