Hiya ladies sorry to come barging in! Just wanted to ask Sezzy a question please?

Is that nasal spray you got prescribed safe in pregnancy, cos I was in the docs yesterday and the doc said no way could she prescribe me anything! Anyway, if it is ok il see if I can buy some over counter?

Thanks x

Hi again all,

Three times in one day, a bit of a miracle for me.

Hey Vicky, I posted on your thread hun - basically, my GP said the sodium cromoglicate drops and spray are fine in pregnancy - more details on your thread! Good luck - it's miserable isn't it?

Babyno5, another one of your calm posts in the face of a stressful situation. But I'm sure everything will be okay tomorrow. Plus you get an extra scan, PMA PMA PMA!

Kirsti, sounds like you're having a really rough time, choleostasis, big breech baby... but hey, you should get to 37 weeks and you do get to see your baby soon!! You were my closest due date buddy too, I think I'm a teensy bit green, I'd love to meet my little beanie in 4 weeks! But I really hope that you meeting your little man doesn't mean your choleostatsis is causing you probs.

Amy, working till 10pm, destined for a rubbish night's sleep hun. Your mind must be whirring. I'm like you, I can't function wihtout my sleep and it's the thing that's troubling me about having a baby - no more than two hours sleep at a stretch - aaaaagh!! But you did make me laugh with your sheep in nighties. If I can't sleep tonight, I think I'll count sheep in nighties!

Anyway. Off to bed for me now. More tomorrow.

Hope you're all ok the rest of you

xx

hi all

well i do apologise i havent been keeping up with everyone! obviously with just buying the house we have been spending 12 hour days there doing it up (yes, probably over doing myself) but i feel fine and are getting good sleeps! were hoping to be in before the baby comes so fingers crossed!

well i finished work a few weeks ago, and its been great, havent had time to be bored though obviously with the house and that!

did anyone watch the big babies programme on itv? omg - im now convinced my baby is gonna be humongous! and one of the girls who had a 12 pound baby said she was craving elastic bands - well so am i! so i was like, thats it, my baby is gona be huge, its a sign haha! and she feels so big inside me now, but with it being my first i have nothing to compare to so dont really know lol!

aswell as craving the elastic bands i have been craving some really weird thing! - mostly smells, im addicted to the smell of petrol and paint and turps (lucky that were decorating haha)! i keep making dp take me to b and q cos i just love all the smells in there (oh my god my mouth is watering thinking about it now) - i actually find the smells a turn on haha! (yes very weird i know). i also keep making dp follow any scooters we drive behind because i love the smell they give off - and i love putting petrol in my car (a job i used to hate) just cos i can smell the petrol!!! its crazy - i keep thinking my baby is gona be addicted to drugs!! but i told the mw and she said aslong as im nopt sticking my nose in the bottle of turps (which i arnt, but would love too if i knew it wasnt dangerous) then everything will be ok and no, baby wont be addicted loL! have you seen the advert on tv, i think its for bingo or something, a wife is sat at her dining room table and the husband brings in a big box with a big old oily car peice or something in it, he gives it a big wiff and then says to his wife 'want a sniff love?' - well she just pulls her face, but i soooo want to smell that car part haha! my other craving is for ice - i cant get enouhg, i keep driving through mcdonalds drive thru and just asking for a large cup of ice - 3 times a day sometmes, there gona start charging me, they must think im a right werido!!!

pobbs - its sooo good to finish work! bet u cant wait! cant believe that you will deffo meet your baby in 20 days - i think that means about 21 days for me but shes deffo gona be late cos she still isnt engaged!!

Amy - my bump was also tiny up to being around 34 weeks - then it had a massive growth spurt - however, unfortunatley for me i gained lots of stretch marks! hopefully ur bump will continue to grow niec and slowly and you may get away with it hehe!

Angel - sounds like your having a really ruff time, but your 37 weeks today arent you so at least if ur lil man comes he will be classed as full term - i do keep coming on checking up to see if he has arrived! hes soo impaitent hehe! wish my lil girly would come soon! not gona happen though!!!

i have got to go to see mw now - hopefully baby will be engaged - does her not being engaged mean shes deffo gona be late - 2 of my friends babies have been engaged since around 32weeks!

will catch up with you later - and i promise to try and post a bit more from now on, sorry for such a long post hehe!!

hi to everyone else and hope all is ok!

lots of love

Hi everyone!!!!!!!

Just a quickie to let you all know I am still here and not having a minute to self yet so no time for personals I am afraid. Hope all of you that are having ruff times ok and everyone else doing well.

House in chaos for me still at minute - plasterers are in and plumber and electrician back next week. Nearly only 3 weeks left til baby comes so dont think we will get finished but should have major bits over with!!!!

Still doing some bits and bobs for work and Daniel is being a little terror at the mo, he has developed a naughty streak in last couple of weeks so hope its just a phase!!!

Anyhoo had scan on 4th June and placenta has moved so thanks for all the *move placenta* vibes!!! Hopefully VBAC still possible now but have to see consultant when 7 days over to see what to do next (if get that far).

Sorry its a quickie but Daniel with MIL while I get some bits done for work and she said she would ring at 4ish for me to go through - so I am on borrowed time!!!!!!

Really hope you are all doing well - sorry I have been a crap 'cyber buddy' of late in normal cir****tances I would have been on daily!!!

Take care all

PJ x x x x x

ps scan on 4th June said girl again so thats 3 out of 3 so must be right then eh???!!! No-one knows we know though - except you lot of course. Its quite hard to keep it in now especially when my grandmother is adamant its another boy!!!

Hi there PJ girl,

So pleased to see your progress! Don't get a lot of time to go on the boards any more.

Also very pleased to hear your placenta has moved up. I had a low lying one (and bleeding)with Aidan and was told no sex til 34 week scan said all was okay. VBAC vibes to you girl! You must be pretty knackered with Daniel to care for and it sounds quite manic at home with all the work!

Lots of luck to all you other ladies expecting in July/August..seems so weird posting to a July 2008 board! Got really friendly with lots of ladies on the July 06 board. How time flies!!

silky xxxxxxx

Afternoon,
I only posted chart yesterday as i was just sooo busy, and thought i should at least do chart and keep it up!

Sezzy.. I must say that my hayfever has been great today(well, lack of it i should say!) It rained lastnight so maybe that helped, but a day free from it is heaven,

Kirsty.. Sorry to hear you have all these worries with bubs, unless he is really really big won't they leave it a bit longer to see if he turns?? I'd say 33 weeks is a bit soon to be making the decision for section? but then again if there are other worries with the cholestasis then maybe its safer esp if he is going to be a bit early? excuse my thickness but i dont really understand sections etc..!
Hope everything goes ok for you though.

Amy.. Yes i feel like everything is whizzing round in my head at the moment, but only if i wake up, no probs getting to sleep, but then again i dont go before midnight. Do you use pillows every night under your bump and between your knees? I have since i got a bump, i would never be able to sleep without them, i even had to ask for extra pillow in the hospital just so i could sleep, its worth sticking with them as it takes the weight off your hips and legs.
I did re-read the sheep nightie thing a few times and just thought, 'ok, count sheep while in labour??' I got my birthing nighties from primark years ago, and one is still going, there is no need really to be chucking clothes away and i love the fact that its a reminder of what i wore when i had holly as thats the only one left now.. its just a sentimental thing!!! I'm not weird really, and it wasn't like it was smothered in blood or anything lol!

Babyno5.. How did your scan go? hope everything is ok.. when i was in last weekend another MW came in to look at the trace i had aswell, she said summat about being tachacardic aswell, but didn't understand what she meant?? let me know when you find out.. I have only heard it on casualty lol..still never knew what it meant then.. Confused Im sure everything is fine with bubs though. x

Kirsten.. wayhey! how good does it feel to finally be term!! I cant actually believe i am still here! Do you think its slowed down this week? Feel like i am running on the spot now!
As for all the things you listed being addicted to i am exactly the same lol!! when Dh went to get new tyre's for one of the taxi's i met him in the garage..OMG!! I was drooling- I'm guessing its the same as elastic bands with them being rubber lol! As well as the petrol, paint, etc I alo love the smell of fairy liquid when its on the sponge and foamed up! I could chew on a baby ramer sponge all day aswell.. I would eat it if i could.. I know it sounds weird, And ive had that thing about sponges with every pg.. Oh, fire lighters aswell, now we are talking! I gotta stop, i'm drowning in drool.....
As for bubs not being engaged i'm not sure.. Its been almost 10 years since i had my 1st so i dont remember when she engaged.. also you have to look at size of babies head/size of mums pelvis aswell.. some babies just dont engage..dont wanna worry anyone though iykwim.. but i am sure you will be fine hun.
Have you seen MW now? what has she said about it?

PJ.. long time no read, looking busy, busy, busy at your end.. Just keep thinking how great its going to be after its all done, hopefully that should help not much though eh?
Great news about placenta moving! I knew you'd do it!! So its all systems go for your vbac then!!! hopefully you wont go over and im sure you'll get the birth you sooooo want! Smiler

Pobs... How are you? Miss your posts, hope things have settled down for you and now you are all finished at work can have a couple of weeks to catch up with yourself! I honestly cant believe you worked right up to the end..! not long now and your little princess will be here!

well, thats me done, started this post hours ago and been side-tracked by allsorts..
I have managed to almost finish living room which i am soooo chuffed about as i started it 2 and a half years ago.. Red Face Eeker but i just couldn't have it half finished when baby arrived so instead of waiting for Dh to but wood and do the daido.. I went and got 4 rolls of boarder yesterday and stuck that up.. then...'drum roll'...... I put my curtains up lastnight, it looks weird now, as i am so used to it being half finished lol, just need a door now! then after bubs is here we will make a stat on the hall way, I'd like that done for xmas!

right off for a bowl of weetabix, my pinapple is on the window getting ready to be eaten should i make it to my due date! how do you know when its ripe anyway?

Hello to everyone ive missed but cant remeber any names now!

might be back later,
Emma. x

omg reading your post abouit your cravings 2 has made my mouth water soo bad, im drooling, and yeh with the petrol lighter - now your talking! i really just wana eat everything like that i smell - i need to stop typing about it cos im thinking about it too much and want it now!! ooooo how the thought of nail varnish make me feel hehe, think im gona have to go and paint my nails now - no really i am, i need to smell it!! haha!

Hiya!
Didn't have time to come on yesterday i got straight in the shower and chilled on the sofa i was knackered!

Sezzy- WooWoo 2 weeks to go now! Big Grin
I'm the same with the sleep though i don't need much more than 7 or 8 hours but if i don't get it i really feel it at work.

Pobs- Hey glad to hear from you. I am so jealous of you not working but my last day is 28th so we have a few days on intense posting before your lady comes! Smiler

Kirsten- I didn't watch that programme no way because i saw an advert that had a 1 stone baby on it so there was no way i was watching that one. Eeker
You must have been mad but i bet you just couldn't turn it off.

Pyjamagirl- I am so glad the placenta has moved they usually do but it must be a worry until it happens.

Angel- Trying to keep the pillow under my legs but i really don't find it helps much a few hours later and i have to turn cause the other leg hurts! Mad
Any more labour signs or pains? Eeker

Babyno5- How did the scan go? Confused

Anyway this thread will be buzzing soon with some of us finishing work we might have a bit more time to chat.
That is if we are not too busy finalising our nurseries. Big Grin
We had a guy come into the salon today with pictures of his new baby boy.
Born 6 weeks early at 4lb2oz i can't believe my baby is about that size!
Anyway off to watch a dvd we have rented Cloverfield for tonight i have heard mixed reviews but we like to decide for ourselves.
Love Amy.x Big Grin

Hiya girlies, what a treat, lots of posts to catch up on Big Grin

Happy Father's day... I bought DH a 'Dad to be' card and a DVD of Wales' Grand Slam victory this year, he was well chuffed. He even got a cuppa in bed, which is a miracle as it's normally me that gets the brekkie in bed every day! Big Grin Didn't think it was tempting fate too much, after all I am 33 weeks and as Amy said, babies get born at this stage!

The coolest thing happened yesterday, my friends organised a surprise baby shower for me! I had no idea, DH was in on the act and had told me he'd planned something. They had banners, balloons, non-alcoholic cocktails and loads of yummy and healthy food, baby-related party games and best of all lots of pressies for the baby and a few for me! I was really chuffed and we had a lovely afternoon/evening. Mind you, several of them went out into town at about 9:30pm so that was that - haha, not for me though, I came home and had a curry with DH and another friend. i'm the first one of my friends to have a baby so they're really making a fuss of me. Big Grin

And more good news from yesterday - DH found non-alcoholic wine and Cobra lager in an off-licence in Cardiff! The wine's not very authentic but the Cobra was brilliant and went really well with the curry too. joY! Big Grin

Amy - YAY to being so close to finishing! Less than 2 weeks for you now and only 2 and a half for me! How was Cloverfield? I've not heard of that one. HAve you had a nice weekend?

Angel, how's your hayfever? The sodium cromoglicate drops & spray have really taken the edge off mine (though the weather's changed a bit too) LOL at you and Kirsti's cravings, you;re weird girls! You're well over term now, how exciting! C'mon, we could do with a baby on this thread, it'll be awesome, I'm getting excited now!! Big Grin Brill news on nearly finishing your lounge, it's a treat isn't it when you can sit in a finished room? And your pineapple should be ripe now, specially if the skins's tinged with yellow and it's soft-ish to the touch. Yum yum, it'd kill my heartburn but I do love the taste.

PJ, man that is some work you're having done on the house! Good to hear from you though. Yay to your placenta for moving, what a relief.

Kirsti, yay to your baby being engaged, bring on the birth! Weird cravings you're having hun. HOw's the house coming? Must be very exciting for you.

PObs, I am SOOOOOOO jealous that you've finished work! Mind you, to be fair, you've worked as far as I intend to, you're just further along than me. Am also struggling now. I finish the day after your c-section. Looking forward to hearing from you loads now you've finished though you've probably got a huge pile of things to do before July 2! Not long now!!

HI to everyone else, KAte, Kirsten, Babyno5 (thanks for the top Matalan tip Babyno5, am all kitted out with knicks and a nightie for a bargain £9!!) and everyone else who hasn't posted in a while.

Man, can't believe it's Sunday. Am really hating work at the moment. Don't want to go back in tomorrow Frowner

Gonna go and finish my baby's hospital bag to cheer me up - finally washed all the clothes so I can finish it off now.

HAve a good day everyone xxx

Hey ladies..
sorry wasn't on over weekend to do chart but I was up at 5 yesterday to do carboot and we made a grand total of..wait for it,,, £6.00 thats six pound, not 6 hundred.. how gutted am i? it cost £8 for our stall/space, I gave him £7 and told him to come back for the quid but he never did, but i did but a baby sling that ive hunted everywhere for as i loved the one i had for holly, its the Tomy safari one and i practically gave mine away when i did a carboot with all her baby stuff, so i bought the same one for £4.00, then i got a really cute winnie pooh velour jacket for %0p which is like new, and a next dungeree/long sleeve vest outfit for 50p- like new also, musta been worn once! and john rocha t-shirt and a pair of jeans for 40p! I'd of bought the whole stall if i had the money, she had loads of stuff that was immaculate!
anyway, i came home and made dinner for Dh and kids then went straight to bed, my face was all swollen from hayfever and i had a really bad throat and my ears were throbbing.. when i looked i had all white spots all on my tonsills and my body was aching.. omg i felt rough,.. so ive been on the paracetamol and fluids since just to get me through the day! hopefully it will pass before this baby arrives,
The pathetic comments off people are really starting to p'ss me off even more now, and cant wait for it all to be over now.. Ive officially had all i can take! This baby is getting into the habit of doing full body stretch which is actually really painful..
ok, whinge over!!

Kirsten..YAAYYYYY to bubs being engaged!! woo hoo, wonder who will be 1st, I got a funny feeling i am going to go over now after all the false starts lol!!
I must say that nail varnish dont really hit the spot with me, but i use a product called super shiney which is basically a topcoat after ive done acrylics, and thats lovely.. Just not meant to breathe it in..!

Amy.. Nothing to report on the baby front here, it all seems to have quietend down now typical!
Thats rubbish that you are still in pain with your legs, I remember suffering more with leg pain in other pg's than this one, I feel really good this time actually..
OMG I watched that programme about big babies, I should be a bit scared really watching stuff like that when pg but i love watching baby programmes! But that was disgusting about that little girl who could eat a whole bag of chips.. Eeker Eekersome people Roll Eyes.....
So what is your review on cloverfield?? Ive heard varying comments but me and Dh would really like to watch it so i think we might try and get hold of it for tomorrow or weds night.

Sezzy..Thats cool about the baby shower.. and you had no idea!! I wish i was lucky enough for that!!(green eyed monster rears its ugly head!!)
What goodies did you and baby get then?? Tell, tell!!
What are you like about 'tempting fate' it was only a cuppa lol!! I think everyone does the dad to be thing on fathers day, how couldn't you! i think its so sweet!!
I must make a note of the hayfever stuff you got and take it to the doc's with me.. its killing me today, on top of feeling poorly anyway.
I am trying my best to get this baby moving but i think he is quite comfy in there now!! I dont think my pinapple is ready yet, it still feels quite hard, but smells lovely!

well, i must dash, doing chicken, stuffing, new potato's and sweetcorn for tea..forgot to get carrots so they will have to make do with that!
Anyone else struggling to get petrol yet? I put a tenner in in bangor this morning then realised
what was going on, just aswell as when i got back into town our local garage had all the pumps covered!! what happens if its still off when i gotta get to hospital!!?? thats it, i'm walking now til i go into labour lol!! (yeah right!)

Hello to everyone else hope you pop on soon,
Emma. x
