Hi girlies.
It's my day off today and i really need it!
Just put the hoover round and that is all i'm doing today. Smiler
I had my midwife appointment this morning and although i had the midwife i don't really like it went really well so it didn't matter too much.
Anyway since the weekend i have been having period like pains under my bump which i put down to Braxton Hicks.
The midwife said it is either that or where his head is getting into position and it is stretching the ligaments.
Sure enough she felt my tummy and he is head straight down now so that's what the crampy feeling is! Eeker
Also bloody sciatica has come back. Frowner
The last time i had it he was upright and breech and now he is the complete opposite way round and i am getting it again.
My blood pressure is on the low side so she said i have to try and sit down as much as poss cause i get a bit fainty.
Yeah right i'm a hairdresser and i only have 2 weeks left and i am determined to see it through.
Anyway enough about me!

Sezzy- Poor you hay fever is so shit my dh gets it really bad but it is so hot at the moment you i have all the windows open and i'm still hot!
Oh dear god Snicker's ice-cream sounds soooo good right about now. Big Grin

Angel- I am getting soooo exited for you sorry i can't help it, i know you are sick of the limbo stage but your baby is trying to come!
So exiting.
I with you on the no bd i am on a completely different wave length to dh.
He really wants too but i am just to tired the only time i feel like it he is not with me. Roll Eyes

Kirsti- I love the name Blake that is my friend's little boy's name. Smiler
I wasn't too keen when she first named him but he is such a lush little boy and it really suits him.
Me and dh are pretty set on Ciaran Jacob for our little man as DH wants an Irish name cause his family are all Irish.
I don't mind at all cause Irish boy's names are lovely.
We might have a backup name just incase i think we both like Kian if he don't look like the other.
We did pick Megan for a girl just incase but judging by the big balls i saw at our 4d we so won't be needing that this time around! Big Grin

Babyno5- Was Kian your first choice for your little boy or did you have a few in the pipeline?
Are you going for an Irish name or not this time?

Well i hope everyone else is ok and blooming i know my bump is def getting bigger but it is still bloody tiny! Roll Eyes
The midwife said i am so neat but i would be complaining if it was massive so i'll just shut up now!
Speak soon as i am off tomorrow aswell before a bloody 9-7 shift fri but let's not think about that.
Amy. xxxxx

Awwwww Angel babe, ((((((hugs)))))))) what a rough day you had! Us women, what are we like, we can deal with the big things, but get some paint on a Moses basket (or in my case the other day, Dove Holiday Skin on the new carpet) adn we lose it! You're bound to have teary days. This hayfever doesn't help either cos you're tired and grumpy and thick-headed with it. HOpe you are feeling better now hun xxx

Hi Angel and Babyno5, hope you're okay, just off out to the doctors now to see id there;s ANYTHING I can have for the hayfever but just wanted to give angel a hug. i'll be back on later to catch up with your posts xxx

Hiya, sorry I didn't come back on yesterday, I was just totally whacked out. Went to the doctors and as suspected, there is virtually nothing to give for hayfever in pregnancy. She wasn't the most sympathetic GP to say the least. She was about to send me out with just sodium cromoglicate eye drops till I mentioned to her that I thought there was a sodium cromoglicate nasal spray too. So I got a prescription for the two of them, then the fun started. I had to go to 7 pharmacies as no-one had this blumming nasal spray in stock, in the end I've left the prescprition with one of them and will pick it up today. Anyway, by the 5th pharmacy I was starting to fill up and in the 6th I totally lost it - sobbed my heart out, made a right fool of myself.

Then I logged back into work when I got home and got an email with more detailed feedback from the client I've been writing the report for and let's just say it's comprehensive.... he thinks the report is rubbish and is calling me first thing this morning to discuss it.

And my boss is being his usual unsympathetic self and is not letting me pass work to other people or to delay some of my forthcoming deadlines. I can't use pregnancy as a 'valid excuse' apparently. Or hayfever.

So needless to say I didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night worrying about it all and feel like cráp today.

Anyway. enough whinging from me, but thanks girls, I do feel a bit better for getting it off my chest. I seem to be a real grump these last few days.

So how are the rest of you? Angel, you feeling any better hun? Tell your BF to haul her ass round yours to get her nails done, what a cheek!! Put your foot down! And sorry to hear you have to sell your beloved car. As you know, I had to sell my beloved TT back in January so that we could save like mad so I could take some time off work. I was really p*sed off at first but I gotta say, the joy of getting sorted financially has more than made up for the joy I used to get from my lovely car. Yeah, and time you had your baby now, if my prediction's gonna come true! ;-)

Amy, hope your long shift goes ok today. How's your sciatica, that'll make 10 hours even harder for you. You have my every sympathy, I started the week with a couple of long days and it's really wiped me out. Oh no, just read that shift is Friday so rest up as much as poss today and go to bed with your pillow tonight! Hey, my mat leave buddy, you might make it to the finish line without me as I'm seriously thinking of not going to 36 weeks! And Ciaran Jacob's a lovely name.

Aw, babyno5, so chuffed you got all your stuff bought for Roman. What a cool name, I love it! You must be so pleased to have all the bits and bobs surrounding you knowing you're gonna be using them when you and the docs decide, when Roman's nice and mature! And I feel for your DH, but if his current stuff's not working, send him back to the docs. All antihistamines and steroid sprays are not the same and it can take a few years to get the right mix for you - but when you do it's joy!

Kirsti, love your names too. what did your MW say about the pains?

HI to the rest of you....

xxx

Hi ladies, sorry I've not been about much, just mega busy and the house is still in chaos as building work still not done. Everything is just piled in the dining room. Been a bit stressed with it all as the builders are hardly ever here and all that needs doing is putting the windows in and finishing the electrics so we can do the floor. They said it would be finished tomorrow but it won't, and I ordered the sofabed to arrive tomorrow so now there's nowhere to put it arghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!
Plus DH is going on a stag weekend and my mum, sis, nephew and niece are coming to keep me company and as the room isn't ready my sis and niece will have to sleep in the garden in a tent! while mum and nephew have the old guest room which is now Ben's new room - bloody chaos I tell you! we'll have to eat out with the dining room out of action. Sorry to go on, needed to get that off my chest Mad

Hugs to Sezzy, I get hayfever but not too bad, just runny eyes and nose. Sorry you are suffering and I hope work goes ok today, you boss sounds like a stupid plank!

Amy, glad the appointment went a bit better with horrible midwife. Good news baby is nicely head down. Careful with the low blood pressure.

Angel, I'm sooo excited for you and willing your little boy to just come out now you're 37 weeks. I just can't wait lol!!!

Babyno.5. I love to see your posts cos it means baby is still safely all snug in your tummy. I'm so glad everything is going so well for you!

Hi to everyone else, sorry for the rubbish attempt at perso's. I need to have some brekkie and get dresses and try to get this house in some sort of order for the weekend. At least DH has the day off to help.

PS posted new bump pic on msn yesterday.

Hey Angel... no post other than the chart.... u ok hun?? Having another bad day?? Come and vent on us if you need to xxx

Kate, you need to slow down girl! (I know , I know, pots and kettles). seriously though, your DIY nightmare sounds awful and you hve my every sympathy, we were only lucky to have the bulk of our big work finished in January. DH has been hard at work finishing off since then but at least we've had access to the dining room etc. Tradesmen though, they're a law unto themselves aren't they?!! It would be good if you could put the sofabed into storage and charge them for the privilege seing as they're late finishing! Hope everything goes ok this weekend. Sure all your family's been through it themselves in the past. Am sure your sister (well, maybe not your sister but DEFINITELY your niece) will see it as a bit of an adventure being in the garden?!!

Hayfever update for my fellow sufferers - it's early days, and the weather's fresher, but the symptoms have definitely eased since I started on the sodium cromoglicate drops and sprays..... fingers crossed!!

xxx

hey lovely ladies and bumps!!!

hope ur all well!!

saw midwife yesterday and my lil man is still BREECH and theres no chance of him moving now as hes too big so its def another c section whether i like it or not!

she also took bloods and i asked her to chec for cholestasis when she was there as i had it with kaihden and im beginning to itch again

well......she called today and blood count, n iron etc all normal but liver levels are elevated so its looking like cholestasis again! to go to daycare tomorrow to have them rechecked and if there the same ill be attending hospital 3 times a week n scanned weekly as well as taking a concoction of drugs!!

it also means that my lil man will be here alot sooner than i thought, next 3 or 4 weeks latest as its too dangerous to go any further!!!

anyway just thought id tell u all and get it off my chest, im gutted :-( only upside is ill get to meet my lil man alot sooner :-)

Hi girls.
That 2 hour nap didn't do me any favours yesterday i had the worst night's sleep ever last night.
My legs were killing me, i kept thinking about all the stuff i need to do before the baby comes(which isn't that much but i am still panicking), hubby was sleep talking and my baby was kicking me ALL night. Roll Eyes
Apart from that i was ok!
Anyone else feel like they have got so much on their mind at the moment?
Anyway me and dh put our cotbed and tallboy together last night and didn't finish until 10 so i was probably not relaxed enough for bed.
I went to mothercare and ordered our crib as well so that will be here in 5 days time. Smiler
Also popped to matalan for a couple of nighties which were only a fiver each if anyone needs sheep giving birth in nighties.

Sezzy- Sounds like you had a good as night a sleep as me last night. i don't know about you but i cannot function properly when i've not slept well.
I really could do with finishing work now to relax but i know once i give up i'll miss it cause it is passing the time quicker.
I am so determined to make it to 36 weeks though you know if we do the time will fly by.
I will just hope i sleep well and try and keep my posture right at home but to be honest if it is going to hurt it doesn't make a blind bit of difference if i am at work or at home.
At least if i am at work i am earning a crust to pay for more baby stuff. Smiler

Kate- I hate having building work done about the house they are so intrusive and you can't relax properly. Frowner
I'm sure it will be worth it in the end though.

Kirsti- I thought they waited a lot longer for a baby to turn from breech more like 36 weeks until they got concerned.
But how exiting that he will be here sooner.
I reckon all these jul/aug babies are going to come alot sooner i hope i'm not left behind though! Eeker

Anyway off for a nice bubble bath to try and relax before bed.
Lots of love Amy. xxxxxxx
