There was so many posts to read through that it feels like I haven't been on for days. Back to work today...and I was right it almost killed me getting up at 7am. Boring day just target setting blah blah, missed my afternoon nap and was starving all day. Everyone gasped when I walked into the staff room, apparently "i'm huge...must be carrying twins and won't go to full term judging by the size of me !!!!!" They all said how big I have got in two weeks..have to say I loved all the attention Going for my bloods and anti D injection tomorrow morning...does it go in my backside does anyone know ?????
Amy..... I love the closer to nature Tommee Tipee bottles. My friend used them and thinks they are great. I have bought a set of the bottles and also I bought the microwave sterlizer which can also be used as a cold water sterlizer. It was half price in tescos. I also have a tommee tippee manual breast pump so the bottles fit onto the bottom. My friend breast fed and swore by her electric pump..she found manual a pain but to be honest I didn't want to pay out all that money and then not be able to feed. My friend bought me the manual one so i'm not sure how much it was. It all comes apart and comes in a neat little bag. I am reading a book at the minute on breast feedinf as I would like to but had terrible trouble with DS, gave up after 3weeks and again with DD. I think if I had been supported more in hospital and by the midwives I would have perservered. I haven't got a clue so have found reading this book quite helpful. Its called "what to expect when your breast feeding and what if you can't" by Clare Byam Cook if you are interested.
Meadow....I finish work on June 13th and go back Novenber 2nd, not sure what hours yet, If we can afford it then I would like to loose a day and just do a 4day week. Counting the days!!!! Glad the sickness has finally left you. How werid about the Balloon type thing.
Kirsten...Love the pink quinny, we debated that one as it was on offer in mothercare a little while ago. Love all things bright. I haven't got a box thing for my car seat.., its just held in by the seatbelt. I think they are quite big arn't they? so guess its a question of room in the car. I don't drive so it wouldn't really be used that much. As for the birth plan I think it is a good idea to have one but also to be open minded about the fact it may have to change, would also say be open minded about the pain relief, I was adiment I wasn't ever going to have a epidural but 20+ hours into my birth with DS they could have cut my legs off if it was going to help with the pain. I won't have a birth plan as such as i'm having a c section but I will still have a wish list for example..Baby being left with me and DF while i'm in recovery rather than her being taken away, being able to breast feed her asap.
Angel...how exciting your pram has arrived, something else to tick off the list. Glad you are happy with it. I'm the same as you..its been two years since I pushed a pram I will need L plates LOL can't wait to push mine around though with baby, think I will have to fight DF for my turn though. Hows the leaky boobs??? Mines bizzare, earlier while cooking dinner I had the most awful stabbing pain in my right boob so had a look and it was leaking but just that one !!!! Sounds like you are a dab hand at the feeding so expect lots of questions and advice tips especially from me. I remember a very embarrassing moment after DS was born, it was summer so only had a T shirt on in town but had forgotten the breast pads next thing I look down and I'm soaked through round both boobies. I was only 19 and very embarrassed, good job I lived very close to town.
Sezzy...Would definatley recommend a dog I love it, gets us out and about in the fresh air although the dog hair everywhere at the moment as she is sheding her winter coat is a problem. How you feeling today????? Hope all that revision hasn't left you too pooped.
Kate..... I do see bits of baby sticking out to the side too, especially her bottom. I layed in the bath yesterday for 2hrs watching her moving around. I also (like right this minute) feel her hiccups, she must have her head very low down today as I can feel them down in my pelvis and her foot as been kicking me in the ribs all day, Hard to believe she is that big.
Well I laid of doing anymore household labour yesterday as I think I did over do it abit on Saturday... I really am nesting though I can't sit still at the minute..sounds like you may be feeling the same Angel. I took you word for the window cleaning yesterday LOL. Think my next project is going to be my dinning room which we are going to turn into more of a second lounge to use during the day. Will be ideal for sitting in there with baby, especially in the summer as it over looks the garden. My lounge is tiny so time you get the 4 of us in there, then add a baby, bouncy chair etc there will be no room what so ever.
Anyway I'm waffling on now....see what I mean full of bright ideas me LOL.
Off to check out the mew pic's, Love to all Pobs xxxxx

I just did something awful... I had a massive craving for onion rings, I had to have them, I was dribbling I wanted them so much. So DH went off to Burger King to get me some and came home with an icecream for me as well. I said 'oh I don't think I should have that', so googled ice-cream and the first thing I read said that home made icecream and icecream from vans and stalls is a no-no. So I happily tucked into the ice cream, THEN read a few more pages on Google which all said avoid ALL soft-whipped iceceam out of machine!!!
WHAT HAVE I DONE??? I'm really upset now and feel sick and wish I hadn't had the blóódy icecram!
HI to you all - I really hope you are all ok - it's so cool that there are so many pages of chatting - I'll do personals tmomrrow when I calm down
PLease tell me I'm getting worked up over nothing!

Oh Sezzy, Don't worry to much hun, I think they say that because of the germs/bugs that can be in the machinery (sp)and to do with the bacteria in the milk I think anyway, to be honest Ive had two children and half the stuff you can't eat now was fine to eat when I was pregnant with them...including Mr Whippy ice cream. I think you are just probably at risk of having a dodgy tummy it was only a one off. Coming on here flaunting your onions rings though is just plain cruel....I want some burger king rings now!!!! I know its hard not to worry but I think you will be fine, if you end up with a dodgy tummy though I would just ask MW for advice.
Kirsten.....I just shed a tear looking at baby Grace's pics especially as i'm 28weeks so thats what my baby will look like (well not exactly but sizing roughly LOL) They are brilliant pictures, love the one of her having a little yawn. Love the name Grace, thats the name we had chosen last year when I was pregnant so a very special name On the sunject of names..think you asked. We hvae chosen either Scarlett or Daisy..can't decide which depends which one she looks like
Amy....check out your lovely neat little bump forming, I would say its grown a little hun from the last pictures you posted. Looks like you are going to have a perfect rounded bump, mines spreaded outwards to the sides now...completly different to you and Angel, hopefully that means they have the sex correct.

Thanks Pobs, DH keeps saying it'll be okay cos it was a really clean BK (WTF??!!) and like you say, the advice gets more stringent every year... man I gave myself a scare though! TMI ALERT I'll be examining my every 'movement' for the next few days now though!
Bedy byes now.... thanks Pobs or I wouldn't have slept a wink - early start tomorrow for a meeting. I'll pop on tomorrow with personals. You'll all have to stop chatting though or I'll never catch up!! xx

Hi all - Sezzy dont panick! i didnt know that but i have had loads of ice cream and im fine! If it was a big thing everybody would of heard about it and it would be common knowledge not to eat ice cream when pregnant!
Pobs - as for anti d - i had mine last week, they put it in my arm. But i know they can put it in any muscle as when i bled around 14wks i had to go for it then - the gyni said 'come on ill pop it in you bum' and i was like well is thereno where else you can put it, and he said well any muscle, arm, leg or thigh, so i asked for arm. However, when he got my in the cubicle he said, right, just pull your pants down and we'll pop it in! I looked at him and said thought you was putting it in my arm, and he replied 'oh yeah' - im sure he just wanted me to get my pants down haha! But im sure your mw will put it in your arm - it was fine, no pain at all, just a little bruising now!
i love your names - Scarlett is lovely, and Daisy is my friends choiec (well was) before she found out she was having a boy hehe!
Glad you liked my piccies!
Pls post some of your bump if u can
lots of love xxx

Oh Kirsten, You did make me laugh...I best make sure ive got me best knickers on tomorrow then incase someone wants to see my arse LOL. I have got to go to the hospital to have it done for some reason, midwife doesn't do it...she doesn't do a lot to be honest LOL Will try and get some bump pic's up tomorrow, will hvae to get DF looking for the computer lead while he is off tomorrow, ive put it in a safe place !!!!!!! we don't know where that is and knowing me that could be anywhere. Thanks for the feed back on the names, its hard because I work in a school and most names we thought of reminded me of certain children ive worked with..normally the not so nice ones LOL, there isn't a Scarlett or Daisy in school at the minute !!
Sezzy...Glad that put your mind at rest, I know its so easy to eat something and forget..to be honest Ive had quite a few runny eggs over the last 7months and i'm ok. Like Kirsten said its hardly big news, i'm sure if it was that bad they would make more of a thingt of it like the peanuts and pate etc..I only knew as my friend told me last summer when she was pregnant..I was trying to get a 99 down her at the time....
Right off to BEDforshire for me too, hate this having to go to work bussiness LOL.
Night girls, sweet dreams xxxxx

I have tried to come on for the past week to read posts and catch up on everyone but each time I try I only get through one page of posts before I get ds wanting something dh wanting something, builders, plumbers, electricians and joiners wanting something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I have tried new tactic. Will do my post first then read over old posts after else you will never hear from me until after peapod here!!!!!
Had 3d scan a week gone saturday and was brill. Will pop some pics on at weekend. 3d woman said girl too so looks like first scan right (might wait until 34 week just to make defo sure ) I didnt ask about placenta moving thought I would just wait and see at 34 week scan. Got new VBAC book other day and have read it already so will have to start making birth plan to give self best chance of VBAC.
Work just been on phone for something so thats buggered my 'me' time. Going to pick DS from nursery now so I guess thats my lot!!!!!! Grrrr!!!! What the hell is happening with time at the mo - is this happening to anyone else???!!!???!!! Hope you all well will be looking over last few pages to get updates, even tho I may not post I am lurking - promise (I usually manage to have quick look at work for 5 but can only read not post )
Take care
PJ x
ps I have typed quite fast but not checking spelling as last time I did and then went to post it went so sorry in advance!
The sun's shining here and I had no unusual 'movements' so I can only guess nothing bad happened after my BK icecream incident! Mind you, I weighed myself today and I've already put on nearly 2 stone so I prob shouldnt' be eating icecream and onion rings anyway. How much weight has everyone else put on? Am I a lardarsé??
Have missed out on loads of posts so gonna work backwards till I've caught up with you all...
PJ - sounds like the extension's coming on nicely given the list of workmen involved now - any ETA on finishing?
Kate - I know, this site is SOOO annoying isn’t it? Am currently typing in Word and cutting and pasting to avoid frustrations.
Kirsten, LOL at your spendthrifting! Me too!! Ah well, they’re our first borns we’re bound to go a bit mad. The only thing stopping me going mad is that I dont’ know what I’m having and there’s not a lot of neutral stuff out there really. I struggled to find sleepsuits that weren’t pink or blue TBH. And I dont’ think it matters if you have a baby that doesn’t move alot, it’s the pattern tha matters, so if she’s always been quiet then that’s normal and nothing to worry about IYKWIM, it’s only if she’d been really active and then you hadn’t felt anything for ages they look at it more closely.
Pobs, how are you after your anti-d? Did the new knickers get and airing LOL?!! My sister’s a teacher and she found it really hard to pick a name too, like you say, a lot of them have been little monsters and it put her off most names!! Thanks again for calming me down re: icecream. And when do you finish work now? Someone asked me how many weeks I had left yesterday and I worked out it’s about 9 weeks – it’s just over actually – how cool is that? I can’t wait to finish. My boss agreed to my 4 weeks (unpaid) parental leave yesterday as well, so with maternity and annual leave I’ll be off for 15 months altogether – I won’t want to go back (not that I have a choice, I’d better not start thinking like that)! Your idea for the dining room sounds lovely, your house sounds similar to mine. I always work in the dining room when I’m working from home and it’s lovely to look out over the garden, I’d like to get a comfy chair or a chaise longue (sp?) in here so I could read and look out the patio – DH wet himself when I said that the other day and pointed out my days of reading and relaxing are about to be long gone! No overdoing it with your nesting now mind!
Angel – YAY your pram arrived! Can’t wait till mine comes now. Have you had loads of fun pushing it rond the house and practicing collapsing it?!!! And EEEK at your breastfeeding lesson – I can’t believe this is going to be happening to us really soon!! I’ve got the Avent pump and steriliser, but only because a woman in work gave me her old steriliser and the pump was on sale in Boots, because the box was damaged it was £12 instead of £35! So I got pump and steriliser for £12 and a bottle of wine for the woman in work, instead of about £70-80! You can’t argue with that, although I did like the look of the Tommee Tippee stuff.
Amy – I’ve heard that manual pumps are often preferred because they are quieter and more discreet and less painful? But obv don’t know if that’s true from experience LOL! Ayway, have you thought about renting an electric one rather than buying, you can get them from m/w or NCT? I like the look of the Tommee Tippee stuff as I just said, good choice there, but after going mad on my pram I have to cut a corner somewhere and a free steriliser’s too good to turn down. Aren’t we organised though!? Did your pram turn up? I know you ordered it but I don’t remember reading that it turned up yet.
Meadow – that baby making story was plain worrying, did you ever work out what caused it? No baby making huh, how are you coping? Any progress with the meds?
‘Kay, that’s everyone who posted since my last long post – hi to everyone else who’s on our thread and any friendly stalkers out there – dont’ be shy, come and say hello!
Oh, and can anyone believe they’re about to have another baby on May/June?!! Pobs, Kirsten, Angel, PJ – it’ll be one of you lot from our thread, do you think any of you will beat Pobs’ CS date?? Maybe a June baby?? Hahahaha, that’s well scary, it’s practically May already and when it is, that’ll be the next month!
AAAAAGH!!
xx

Aw thanks Kate - they are soo worth it, when are you having yours again? We had to go back a couple of times as she was very camera shy, drink coffee and eat sweeties before you go!
Pyjama Girl - cant wait to see your 3d piccies to! I know i might sound stupid here but can u please explain what VBAC is??
Im feeling quite good today - just seen some old work friends who i havent seen for a while so theyve really put a smile on my face! They said im not showing mcuh really - but im not exactly on the skinny or even slim side so that maybe why - i suppose it could be a good thing really (less stretch marks!).
Had a dream i was in labour last night - had an epidural, it was soo weird, i felt it in my dream, how i feel it would feel, it was sooo horrible and weird! And then it didnt work and the mw was making me run around to prove it didnt work! I then gave birth with no other pain releif and the pain wasnt even that bad, then i woke up and was devestated that it hadnt really happened and that it will definatley be a lot more painful than in my dream! Im getting really scared now!
Angel - thanks for the advice about the birth plan - ive already put those things down (didnt know they were classed as my 'birth plan') but i just meant i wasnt planning anything like drugs as im a little (very) scared about what to expect so would of just gone along with it!
were is everyone recently?!
Love kirsten xx
