Hi girls. Smiler
Loads of posts to catch up on i see!
Well we have ordered our pram off Ebay so we are just waiting to see when it will turn up now. Big Grin
Had quite a few af type feelings lately but i'm trying to remain calm and rational and it then goes and he kicks me!
So i have to chill out. Roll Eyes
Had quite a bad night last night with back pain so hopefully tonight will be a lot better.
We are having my parents round this afternoon and Dh is cooking a sunday roast and apple pie and ice-cream for dessert.
Tasty! Big Grin

Pobs- Have you had any luck with the doppler since. I just tried it again and i can't hear a thing. Mad
But it does get him kicking so i think i am pissing him off!
I am going for the pramette in city scape its black and grey. I liked the polka dot one though but wanted it to be ok for a few years time so thought black would be better and more for a boy. Big Grin

Angel- Oh my god i just saw your ticker and it's going into 30w this week! Big Grin
The seller you found on Ebay isn't the same one mine has got a 99.8% positive result but i think it is over now i don't know i got my sister to do it she is a whizz on Ebay she knows all the best stuff to look out for. Wink
Oh Emma talking of Asda.
Me an Dh wanted a night in last night with a pizza and some haagen daas.
Refused to pay a tenner for just 1 pizza so i went to Asda and had one made from scratch. It was lush.
I got the ice-cream, pizza and garlic bread for £11 and it was much better than when you order it.
Will def do that again. Smiler

Sezzy- I can't believe that the may/jun thread is off to a start yet it makes it seem like the end is nearer for us doesn't it?
Oh my god i better not show dh the home birth story or shall i just for a laugh! Big Grin
Still waiting on the clothes off Verbaudet but hopefully they will be here for thursday as i am going for a chinese with the girls at work.
And yes they will definately take bets on the weight and date of my baby we always do it when someone is pregnant.
Lol at you calling your bump a him i may actually be wrong! We'll see soon. Big Grin

Meadow- Hello stranger! How you been feeling? Smiler

Kate- I love shipwrecked i just watched a bit of catch up and i already can't stand one girl.
The one with the brown hair on the 3rd island that never does anything and nicks all the food!
Also i have had the belly movement it's freeky seeing the outline of the baby wriggling about but i love it.
Can tell if it's a foot but can't wait to see it more clearly. Big Grin

Well i lost my bet at work my boss went in to labour on friday night.
She didn't tell anyone except her chap and then phoned to say she had had her.
I even spoke to her when she was in labour on the phone and she didn't say a thing!
She had a gorgoeus little girl at 6lb15oz and called her Roxanne Emily. Smiler
She popped into work yesterday on the way back from the hospital to show her off.
So now i am so ready for my little bundle i can't wait i am going to burst. Big Grin
Thank god i have another scan in 3 weeks so i can see him again that will do for now!
I'll probably be back on later as Dh playing basketball and i have another bump pic to post.

Love Amy. xxxxxxxxxx

Amy, I haven't had af type pains for a while but I do still get growing pains that unsettle me, usually really low down at the front. It usually passes after a few hours, I put it down to stretching etc.

God its really strange now the ladies on the May/June thread have started to have their babies. I was on that thread briefly and would have been due 29th May. I don't think we'd have been ready for another baby right now with Ben into everything but I guess we'd just have coped. Although the chances of him calming down much in 4 months is slim anyway - eeek!!!! Eeker

Good evening all!!
I think maybe this thread has been brought back to life now!!
Bit more posting going on of late!! lets keep it up or the sept/oct thread will be catching us up! (in terms of pages not weeks!)

Well ive done a chicken tikka with popadoms and mango chutney for tea tonight, seems to be keeping kids quiet so it must be ok!!
My dad turned up today on his new ducatti and i was all choked up for a few minutes!
Its probably been 15 years since i last saw him on a bike.. and it brought memories back of when he used to come and see me and my brother when we were kids! I know it sounds silly but it was really emotional! sad or wot!!??
I did it yesterday aswell, i was looking on ebay and came across, wait for it...'vintage toys!!' vintage???!! They were toys i used to have,, I'm not that bloody old! (Am I?)

Well anyway..

Amy.. Mmmm, Ice cream & fresh pizza from asda! Cant eat garlic things when pg though as it makes me heave.. Our asda is cr@p and dont do them up fresh for you, although there are a few that they have made and packed up.. the store at my nan's and at my mum's have them though...(gutted)
I hope i haven't p'ssed you off saying that about the city scape pram... I really liked the pram, as i'm not into flash colours and wanted something quite traditional aswell..(guess i'm old fashioned lol!) but i just didn't get why they put the shiney trim on it..??? If it was denim all over then its the one i'd have gone for aswell..
I know.. me and kirsten wil be 30 weeks at the end of the week..how scary is that! Jordan was born at 37 weeks so i guess i shouldn't leave it too late to pack my bag!!
As for your back amy why dont you mention to MW and get her to refer you for physio? Last week she put me on my side and pulled my top leg over my bottom leg, held it down and pushed my top shoulder the opposite way then 'CRACK' my back snapped!! (not really of course, just made a noise)
I have to say i never realised how much back pain ive tolerated over the last 10 years..which started when i was a junior washing hair, leaning over basins all day everyday.... my back has been brilliant since thursday! Its great.. give it a try anyway, you can only ask eh?

I was looking through the baby's clothes in his drawers last night and 'thinking'.. imagining how small he will be when we bring him home in his car seat!! Its a nuts feeling walking up the path with that new baby and people looking! you cant help but grin!! (those of you who already have lil ones will know exactly what i mean!!!)

well, i'm off to bath kids and wash hair, jord needs a no.1 as his hair has been sticking up on the crown for days now! so i best get cracking!

will check back laters,
enjoy your evenings everyone...

Oh girls.
I think another one has had a baby on the may/jun thread. Posted today what is going on! Eeker

Well my roast was lush and so was my dessert so off for a nice relaxing bath now. Smiler
The way the may/jun thread is going there will be another baby by the end of the week!

Kate- It is mostly growing pains as it is on both sides and low down but it doesn't stop my mind ticking over silly and worrying! Roll Eyes

Angel- Tikka sounds nice to me i think that i could eat that too. Eeker
I never would have touched a curry before but have really fancied them lately.
I am hungry all the time so save me some please!
Don't be silly about the pram i don't know when you mean by pissing me off so it didn't even register anyway. Smiler
It's good for you guys to tell me good things and bad about baby products as i have never bought any of this stuff.
So if something is shit i would most definately want you to say silly.
I know i should be wary of internet stuff though cause it isn't all a good deal.
To be honest that is why i would rather go to a shop so i can see it for myself.
I will ask my midwife about the back pain though.
I am seeing her in 2 weeks time but it is not every night i get pains just sometimes also it is when i have woke up on my back.
So maybe it is baby's way of turning me the right way in my sleep. Smiler

What does everyone think of the Tommee Tippee stuff?
I really like the bottles and sterilsers they have those nipple like thingies on them.
And i want an electric breast pump so i can express and dh can feed him too.
But the electric ones are so much more expensive but most people i talk to say that manual is crap.

Me again!!!

Couldn't understand why my keyboard was all wonky and banging when i was typing earlier... just lifted it up now and Ds has stashed all his pencils under it...Why didn't i just look earlier?! Duh!

Amy.. Glad i haven't upset anyone! Wink
As for the tommee tippee stuff, and this is just purely my opinion, so i'm sure everyone else will have their say!!
Bottles, i dont think i have ever used them or if i did it was before they had the nipple thingy teats lol!!
I buy the dummy's for Holly now still so they are ok! and have already bought some for this baby aswell!!
I like their training cups aswell, all 3 of mine had tommee tippee cups, so i am sure the bottles will be just as good!! my friend has just bought them, she is due 3 weeks after me!
As for breast pumps... I have bought the Avent manual one for all 3 of mine and found it ok so long as you keep it sealed to your b00by! If i am honest i am a dab hand at expressing by hand myself and i find it quicker, especially once ive let down..It just flies out then lol!!!! I have found that the avent one can pull quite a lot, not used an electric one before so i can really say anything.. the only reason i use the avent pump is because ive had the Avent bottles with all of them, I had the electric steam steriliser with holly aswell which was brilliant! I am gutted actually as i borrowed it to my friend (including everything else i had for holly) who was like..my best friend, i'm her sons godmother.. anyway, i asked her if i could have it bk when my bestfriend had her baby waaaaay back in november 2006 and i still haven't had it, so looks like i will have to buy a new one, i never see her anyway so i have given up on her!!

well i am off to check out your bump now, so i will report back in a bit!

Good afternoon ladies! Well it is prob night over there! I wish I wasnt working today, it is so sunny outside and the beach looks so inviting!!!

Angel, That is hard to believe your almost 30 weeks! Definetly getting close. Sometimes I feel like it is so far away, but I know it really isnt. I start thinking about labor and it is like "oh my gosh, I need more time!" My triple test came back great, I think it was 1/1495. Oh and my ticker is supossedly correct with my last US. So it looks as though I will be dragging in the rear as in due dates!

Pobbins, you are a ball of energy! Please give me some! Most mornings Im so tired Dh gets breakfast for me.lol The big question of maternity leave!! Well if Im not too miserable I plan on working till I pop. Then after I have her I'm staying home at least 6 weeks, then just working weekends. I wish I could stay home 24/7 but Dh is still taking classes. When are you going on maternity leave?

Kate, That is good your moving Ben to another bed before you have the baby. Do you plan on cosleeping with this baby?

Amy, Oh my that sounds so good! Please send some to me!!lol I wish Dh could cook all that! I know it may sound weird but it grosses me out to cook now. So I dont eat much of what I make. I hope your back feels better tonight!

Sezzy, I wouldnt get too worried about the movement. Sometimes she will be really active and then I wont feel her much for a few days. lol at you already planning a bunch of kids! Dh is the same way even asking what kind of dog we can get the kids.

Sorry for anyone I missed
Ive been doing pretty good lately, not much sickness anymore. Now Im just concerned about getting off the meds since I want to breastfeed. But hopefully by then I will be fine off the meds. Who else is planning on breastfeeding? My Doctor said no to anymore "baby-making-time". TMI but ended up rushing over to the docs because "after the deed was done" something not so good starting going on "down there". TMI- It looked like I was giving birth to a balloon!! Seriously, it was disturbing. I had Dh look (much to my embarrassment) so maybe he'll stay away now! lol So now that I gave you all a disturbing visual! What am I supposed to write about? So I will leave you will a couple of questions.Does anyone have a special birthing plan yet? Has anyone decided on baby names?

Hello from sunny Anglesey!!!

Well no sign of pram ..yet, money has gone from bank so i take that as a good sign!! Big Grin
My moses basket should be here anytime now aswell, cant wait!
Well, so much for being pain free, i decided to turn Ds mattress lastnight when i changed all the beds and i think i shouldn't have done.. I feel like ive been run over, my back has popped back again and all my pelvis is back to how it was, had massive leg cramps most of the night but.. i dont feel too bad other than that!! Ive actually cleared the living room and feel a rush of decorating fever coming over me! so might just get cracking with that after dinner.. miracles can happen! I just want my curtains up now!

Amy.. wowsers.. Your belly hasn't changed all that much but Eeker Eeker.. I wish i had your chest!! B00bies have deffo grown lol!! (not that i was looking or anything! well, ok i was but only coz you said lol!!)

How is everyone else today?
And how crazy is it on the may/June thread? All the babies are coming early!! Eeker Eeker
Well, better than going over i say, so long as they are all ok!

well Holly is being a pain in the butt so i'm going to make a bit of salad for her to nibble on!
Back soon..

Hey - Wooowsers! I ahve soo much to catch up on - u lot have been chatting away! Im still having loadsa problems with computer at home - its lost all memory so now i cant even log onto msn for some reason or another to look at or upload any photos, gutted! And cant go on at work as its banned!

Just read a few snippits from all your chatting - re the tommee tippee bottles and tht - i didnt really want tommee tippee but they was all half price is tesco (stelriliser also! cnt spell!) so i couldnt resist and had to buy! And ive dedcided i love them now! Well the look of them at elast hehe, and my friend has them and says they excellent with her baby - but there all different so who knows! I want to breastfeed but have the bottles so i can express - has anyone expressed before - whats it like? Im really scared about breastfeeding, i dont think ill be able to do it, but i really want to!

As for the pram - ive got the quinny buzz aswell - i picked it up about 7 weeks ago - its the pink one, so its really really bright - probably not many people will like it but i dont mind as i love it! definatley an aquired taste! I also got the maxi cosi car seat to go with it as its fits the pram, but im not sure whether to get the baxse to put in the car so the car seat can just clip onto it - has anyone got/had this, is it worth the money, as i think £100 is alot to pay for it!

pobbins - what happened to you counds awful! i would of mega panicked - me and dp havent 'done the deed' since i found out i was pregant - as due to my cervical erosion i was told to leave it for a while (around 12 weeks) and now im just too scared(soft i know) in case anything happened i would soo blame myself! Im desperate to do it though hehe and so is my dp - we just cant! think when my due dates coming up i will to get baby moving hehe - probably wont feel like it then though! As for the birthing plan - nope i dont have one at all - im not that bothered to be honest - i just want to last as long as possible before i go to hospital and then i seem to be happy to just do what im told (im not very bossy) hehe. but you never know, with all the pain i could change. I just want no forceps! But i suppose if i have to, i have to! im sooooo scared - how did everyone elses first labour experiences go???
Do you have a birthing plan pobs? As for names, i decided from the start - Grace Elizabeth - i always knew thats what i would have if i had a girl. Have you decided?

cant believe im nearly 30 weeks! soo excited!

hows everyone - lots of love xxx

ooo - forgot to say, as for movement - i still dont have loads, when i do its at night! but trying not to worry meself too much as shes been fine at all scans - shes probably just lazy like me and her daddy! I defo cant tell what is kicking when she kicks though - just guess as i know shes got her head down and legs up, so when i feel kicks under my ribs (ouch!) i presume thats her little leggies! She feels soo big in my tummy now though as when she kicks all over i can feel it right low down in my pelvis and also right at the top in my ribs - its mad! I love it soo much though!

Amy - i also love shipwrecked! not keen on saras though (the lazy one on the third island) either!

Angel - had a look at your pram - what a bargain! i know what you mean about getting a new one though - but that looks in soo good condidtion, cant believe your not using it! Its lovely!

Just a quicky.. (really, as i have to be in school in 10 mins!!)

GUESS WHAT!!!!! My pram is here!!!! I couldn't believe it! So i have spent all afternoon fiddling with it!! Its better than i thught and was a bit scared TBH as it was sooo cheap, but its great, its set up in living room for now as its quite creased from being in box for god knows how long!! so once ive looked at it and had a few daydreams i shall take it down to FIL's.. he doesn't know that yet though..lol!

Kirsten...You have a few q's there so i shall be back in a bit once ive got kids from school! But just incase you go before i get bk.. About the birth plan its best to have an idea what you want even if it doesn't happen, and DEFFO do not let them tell you wot to do! You will need to put down that you want to BF straight away if thats what you are thinking about..and dont let anyone put you off, you will be fine, i have fed all mine and if i can do it wiv me teeny b00bies anyone can LMAO!! If you want to hold baby straight away before its cleaned etc you need to put that aswell, i was gutted with DD1 as they took her away and wiped her 1st and i wanted her straight onto my skin, i'll never forgive them for that it still p'sses me off now, as those 1st seconds can never be re-done IYKWIM.. so have some sort of idea hun.. its worth it!

Hi girls. Big Grin
Long day at work today and my leg has been hurting but now i'm home to chill out i can't complain! Smiler

Angel- Glad you said good things about the Tommee Tippee stuff.
I can't find the breast pump in electric though.
If i had all the Tommoee Tippee bottles and sterilsers does it matter if my braest pump is of a different make?
Or does the whole lot have to match so it can be used together?
I am such a pleb with this baby stuff i just have no idea! Roll Eyes
Just hope the looking after baby stuff comes naturally when he arrives or im screwed!
What do you mean by once you have let down aswell?
Looks like we should expect our prams about the same time!
I can't wait but will keep it up my mum and dads til we need it but i'll just check that it is ok when i get it.
Just read that you have your's im so jealous! Red Face
Do you think i am carrying my baby in my boobs then! LOL Big Grin
I just can't get where he is hiding otherwise! Confused

Meadow- What the hell was it that came out of you down there! Eeker
Maybe an air pocket or something?
My dh has suddenly got his mojo back now so bd is back on the cards. Wink
Bd yesterday morning but it has been so long in between it doesn't half make me a bit sore.
Must admit bd makes me a bit paranoid about what he is disturbing in there so it puts me off a bit!
I haven't got a birth plan though.
All the books i have looked at show the mothers birth plan and they never stick to them.
You just don't know what you will be like or what you will need.
Saying that i am thinking i fancy trying the birth pool.
Also i really want to try and avoid the epidural as pain is crap but i am not sure i like the thought of feeling nothing.
Me and dh have decided on Ciaran for a boy a nice Irish name as my dh's family is all Irish and he was set on a name from there.
But to be fair boy's Irish names are lovely we also liked Kian so you never know he might look more like that than the other.
Our girls name was Megan Rose but judging by the rather defined penis i saw at the scan we won't get to use that this time round! Roll Eyes

Kirsten- I am the same with the breast feeding.
I definately want to do it but would still love dh to be able to feed him so am getting the pump for a backup.
Don't know whether to go manual or electric though.
But i love the look of the Tommee Tippee stuff i just looks good quality to me.
Also i have heard if you are doing breast and bottle it is good to have the bottles with the nipple like tops.

Hiope everyone else is well and will speak to you soon.
Love Amy. xxxxxxxxxxxx

Amy..
With the pump and bottles, you could get away with using say, an avent pump and then tip the b00by juice (as my kids call it!!) into your tommee tippee bottles, as there is a 4oz bottle with the pump when you buy iy, but you would only be able to use that one bottle with the pump as i'm pretty sure different brand bottles wouldn't fit on pump.. I may be wrong though!
With the let down reflex it just means after a couple of minutes you get a heavy crampy/pins and needles feeling and baby goes crazy trying to swallow all the milk as it comes out so fast lol!! poor things get a bit panicky and start coughing and spluttering sometimes lol, or is that just mine?!!!
Some reading for you!! dont be put off by the title!!
http://www.babycentre.co.uk/baby/breastfeeding/problems...olutions/breastpain/

And also!!!!

You've just taken your little one out for his first trip to the mall and you hear another baby cry. All of a sudden, it's as if your breasts have sprung a leak. Not the best timing, for sure, but the good news is you have a well-tuned "let-down" reflex.

Your let-down, or milk-ejection reflex, makes your milk available to your baby by propelling it into the ducts and the nipple. Marianne Neifert, M.D., also known as "Dr. Mom," explains how it happens: "When you breastfeed, your baby's sucking stimulates nerves in your nipple. These nerves carry a message to your brain, and a hormone, called oxytocin, is released. Oxytocin flows through your bloodstream to your breasts, where it causes tiny muscle cells around your milk glands to squeeze milk out of the glands and into the milk ducts. A well-functioning let-down reflex helps ensure your breasts get emptied and your baby is easily getting milk."

Five Things You Need to Know about Your Let-Down
The feeling of your milk ejecting may surprise you! You may notice a tingling, pins-and-needles sensation, cramping, or nothing at all as your milk lets-down. This is thought to be due to dilation of the milk ducts as milk flow increases. First-time moms often experience a stronger sensation in the early weeks. If milk ejection is painful, massage your breasts just before a feed, allowing your milk to begin flowing before nursing.
If you don't feel your milk let-down, how will you know it happened? Milk typically lets-down several times during a feed. Even if you don't feel your milk let-down, you will notice that your baby's sucking slows and swallowing (gulping) increases, to keep up with the flow of your milk. You might see milk in the corners of your baby's mouth. Women often feel a sense of relaxation and they may be thirsty. As your milk ejects, it may drip or spray from your unused breast. If you pump, milk droplets turn to sprays as your milk lets down.
Sore nipples, anxiety, and separation from your baby can inhibit let-down. With sore nipples, correct positioning and healing will usually do the trick. Relaxation techniques, warm compresses, and gentle breast massage, which activates your milk-ejection reflex, can get the oxytocin flowing. If you are pumping away from your baby, looking at her picture can also help stimulate let-down.
Your milk might let-down during sex. The same hormone involved in milk production is also released during lovemaking. To help reduce the chance of spraying your partner, try nursing just prior to making love, wear a bra with nursing pads to bed or have a towel nearby to catch the flow.
You're not at the mercy of your leaky breasts. You can still go out in public, and even attend an important business meeting. You just need to learn a few tricks. First, dress appropriately. Absorbent nursing pads (make sure they have a breathable backing) can stop leaks in their tracks. A printed or dark top will help camouflage wetness. If you feel your milk let down, fold your arms across your chest and firmly press into your breasts with your forearms. Nobody but an experienced nursing mom will have a clue you're stopping your milk flow!

Hello...are you still awake?!!!
